I take Lortab 10's, Fentanyl 100mg patch every 3 days and Ibuprofen. I stay in constant pain and wanted to know what I could switch to that would be stronger and help with my constant pain. I've been on all 3 medicines and alot of other medicine (not pain medicine) for over 3yrs. ## Yes, it only takes 6.67mgs of Oxycodone to equal each 10mgs of Hydrocodone, so the Percocet would be stronger. I'm having surgery tomorrow morning (Tuesday) on my elbow to repair the Ulnar nerve as well as Carpal tunnel surgery. I took a Percocet yesterday evening (Sunday) for pain. I went to the ER on 12/6/2015. I was in serious pain. The Dr. ordered me 2 Vicodin to take at the Hospital. He gave me a prescription before I left. The medication bottle said Oxycodone. I took it. If 1 Percocet of the same dosage strength is halved, is that somewhere equivalent to 1 Norco? My prescription for Norco hasn't arrived yet and it's Sat. And I ran out of Norco today. ## @Pug, I think the answer may vary for each individual. However, a clinical study by NIH depicts Oxycodone and Hydrocodone as having "similarly potent analgesic effects in the first hour of treatment for ED patients with acute fractures." NIH also goes on to note that side effect profiles were similar as well. I have a white tablet that says Dav on one side and has 5599 on the other side. Could it be a Percocet? ## That last letter is actually an N, though sometimes the manufacturer's marking equipment gets worn and they are hard to read, however, this is not Percocet. percocet 10 and percocet 15 what is in them? what shows up on drug test ## Percocet contains Acetaminophen and Oxycodone and there is none that contains 15mgs of the Oxycodone, it is only available in a maximum of 10mgs of the Oxycodone. For a drug test, it would show up as an opiate/narcotic. IT may also cause side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth.
