I have chronic low BP. I am average high and weight, 5'7' 130 lbs. I'm 46 yrs old.It has become more of a problem lately. Also, I have been in severe pain w/ diverticulitis and am unable to have pain meds prescribed due to my low BP. I've been unable to find any info on this subject. Please help!

SOMETIMES AT NIGHT MY PRESSURE WILL SKYROCKET TO ABOUT 235/105. I DOUBLE DOSE MY MEDS BUT IT STILL TAKES AROUND 3-4 HOURS TO GET IT DOWN; NOT LOW BUT LIVABLE. These medications don't work like that to bring it down that fast, they take time to work, which requires consistent dosing for 4 to 6 weeks to have an effect, occasionally doubling up, just when it spikes does nothing. I was on concor 5 and lnblock 20 in the morning with aquazide 12.5 (half in the morning) and minipress 2.5 xl and alfusin d for my prostrate at night. My blood pressure was fine for three years but suddenly it shot to 170/97. The dr has changed my medication now to metasartan (40/50) from concor. I have been on losartan 100mg od, lisinopril 20mg od, bystolic 10mg plus triamt/HCTZ tab 37/5/25 od for a few years to bring my blood pressure down which it did to between 130/88-140/90 but now it is back up to 190/90-200/100. For 6 years I was taking Losar H 1 tab (morning) And Amtas AT 25 1 tab (at night). With these two tabs my BP used to be 130/80. Whenever I tried to reduce the dose my BP use to spike upwards. Since Jan 15 I started exercises like brisk walking, climbing hills, aerobics and weight training. During one year as per my doctor's advice Amtas AT 25 was stopped as BP readings came down to as low as 110/70. Now with only Losar H in the morning my readings are 115/75. Pritor side effects. What a nightmare. Had to stop taking Pritor as after 2 weeks started getting severe headaches, nausea, dizziness to the extent that I could not drive my car. The worse was that I had an increase in my blood pressure. I am back on Zanidip.
