I am a 60 year old Interstitial lung disease (ILD) patient. I took deviry 10mg for 3 months thrice a day. However, after stopping the medicine on the 5th day, bleeding started. Please advise if this is normal or whether I should contact my doctor?

My mom age 55 is suspected Interstitial Lung Disease, and doctor prescribed the medicine Defcort 30 - once daily after breakfast. My question is that - Is the medicine be perfectly OK for cure the patient ? ## What you need to understand is that, by their very nature, most conditions that are considered diseases, do not have cures. It is only the symptoms that can be managed to help keep them under control. That said, Defcort contains the active ingredient Deflazacort, which is a steroid class medication that's used an an anti-inflammatory and to suppress the immune system. Have you spoken to her doctor about your concerns?

Losing a parent is always so hard, no matter what causes it. Both of mine are gone, now, and I miss them every day!!! I have recently started taking Amiodarone. Some of the comments here are worrisome, but were made several years ago. Is it safer now or still the same risks? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? Nothing has really changed about it. The FDA classifies it as an antiarrhyythic agent that's common used to treat cardiac dysrhythmias. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, interstitial lung disease, thyroid abnormalities, GI upset and elevated liver enzymes. What do you consider really risk and worrisome? Perhaps I can better help you if those are addressed. ## My father just died a few days ago as a direct result of taking Amiodarone... His death was two weeks of agonizingly trying to breath on a bipap machine.... He was relatively healthy prior to being on this drug which caused ...
