Hi good day, I just gave birth to my daughter 2months and 2days ago today and I want to start taking pills. It's my first time to try this diane 35. I'm on my 4days of period is it ok if I start to take it tonight? Thanks in advance for your answer . ## Hello, Eve! How are you? Congratulations on your daughter. You can start taking this tablet at any time, but given that it is this late in your period, you will need to take it for a full 7 days, according to NIH studies, before it will actually protect you from becoming pregnant. Its typical side effects are listed as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, weight changes, and PMS-like symptoms. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi September 9 my blood came and i will start take diane 35 today 7th day of monthly period. .my blood is 4days. .is it safe please response ASAP. ## Is it safe if now i will start take diane 35 pills on my 7th day ## You should have started the first day of bleeding, if you start it now, you will need to take it for a full 7 days, before it will protect you from becoming pregnant. The U.S. FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, irritability, and spotting. And yes, there is no harm in starting it, now, unless your doctor says otherwise. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hello My doctor prescribed me primolut n because I had 2 irregular periods the first was late a couple days and then the next came almost 15 days early and I was spotting in between the two the whole time and a week after the last period I started bleeding again much heavier than spotting so they prescribed me this. I am taking it 2 times a day every day for 15 days. After the first 3 days my abnormal bleeding was gone. My question is could I still get pregnant while taking the 15 day course of the medication? I am TTC. ## Hello SB, Primolut N contains norethisterone which is a synthetic hormone similar to the natural hormone progesterone. Even though this medicine will help regulate your menstrual cycles it does not work as a contraceptive and will not prevent you from getting pregnant...

I am 30 weeks pregnant and I was just wondering if I can take this antibiotic because it says on the label, do not take while pregnant. But I'm allergic to Penicillin and Amoxicillin so I cant take those. Will this Sulfamethoxazole harm my baby? ## Generally, the FDA only warns that you stay away from it during the first trimester. It hasn't been known to cause problems during later pregnancy. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

i need answers! ## NOOOOO!!!! ## NO ARE YOU FREAKING NUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ## If you are pregnant already don't listen to them talk to your doctor first. When I was pregnant my doctor told me not to stop taking my methadone because it will make the fetus go into shock and die, causing me to miss carry. So I stayed on and I had a healthy baby. The only problem with that is that my baby had to take methadone for 2 weeks.(If your on a higher dose it might take longer if your on a lower dose it might be shorter). If your not pregnant already you should get off first it would be best you can breastfeed then(Methadone passes through breast milk). ## please email me about this pregnancy because i was on methadone the whole 9 months an...

I am on lo leostrin fe for about 6 months. Always took my pills on time at 9am.I started a new pack 2 weeks ago. The first week, I took my pill late every day. Some days like at 8pm and some days 3pm. I am having loose stool, period cramps, sore breasts and nausea. Could i be pregnant? (Its too eraly to test) ## Hello, Molly! How are you? Generally, there's a 12 hour window for taking it, before it's considered a late pill and a 24 hour window, before it's considered a missed pill. Thus, if you didn't actually miss any, there's not much of a risk of pregnancy. The side effects you've mentioned are known effects from taking hormonal contraceptives, according to the FDA. You may also experience irritability, headache, and PMS-like symptoms. However, if you are conce...

I have been prescribed bactrim that has 58\98 on it and I took all my doses and later I took a pregnancy test because I was late and I ended up two weeks pregnant can that harm the baby? ## How do you know how far along you are, unless you've already had a doctor's exam? As to the antibiotic, it is very doubtful that it would cause harm that early on, but it is best to see an OB Gyn and let them know that you were taking it, to be certain. Have you already set up an appointment with one? ## I have actually heard that it can be harmful in the first three months of pregnacy can cause blindness but I sorry usually when you are two weeks pregnant it won't even show on a test cause the hormone so low so you gotta be farther. Once you stop taking it, it usually takes about 3 months for you to be able to ovulate and become pregnant. Are you on any other medications?

I have not had a period in two months. Not pregnant. Went to doctor yesterday and her prescribed previfem. Since I don't know when my period should start, should I just start them on Sunday? Will it be about 28 days until my period starts? ## Hello, Shelby! How are you? Unless your doctor instructs otherwise, you can start them at any time, it doesn't have to be on a Sunday, and day of the week will be fine. You just won't be protected against pregnancy, until you've been on it for a full week, so you'll need to use a backup form of contraception for the first 7 days. It will actually be about 21 days, give or take. You should have your period that last week. The FDA lists the typical side effects or oral contraceptives as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headac...

Hi everyone, my wife has been dealing with some debilitating nausea, accompanied with occasional vomiting. She's about 7 weeks into her pregnancy. For the past few days she's barely been able to eat anything more than apple slices, saltine crackers, and some sparkling water. I feel so bad for her! Even plain water is hard for her to stomach. Anyways, our OB has prescribed some Ondansetron for her in hopes that it will bring some relief. She just took her first dose about an hour ago. We usually try to avoid meds as much as possible, but we have already tried some natural products such as ginger, a special morning sickness tea (with ginger, peppermint, spearmint, chamomile), and even an herbal pill (with ginger, vitamin B6, folic acid) ... to no avail. Does anybody out there have...

I have beent aking this pil for about two months to stop my period while on vacation. The first month I was taking I missed ONE day and then my period started the next day. I continued to take the pill for about a week after as I was unsure if I should stop. I finally stopped taking that week later and let my period finish up. The Sunday after my period stopped I started a new pack. I stopped taking that pill on the last day of taking ( 3 week pills) as I was ready to get my period started. I should have started my period two days later but here I am a FULL WEEK later and no period. Pregnancy tests are coming up negative but no period in site! I am getting nervous! Is this normal? Okay so I started Sprintec about 3 months ago and my doctor said my period should change after 3 months. My previous 2 months by my first sugar pill I was on a heavy period with cramps. But this month I took one of my blue pills at mid night because I forgot it and now I have light cramps, and my body is acting like I'm on my period but no blood. Do you think I'm pregnant? please help ## If you still took the pill within 24 hours of when you should have done so and haven't actually missed any, then it isn't very likely that you are pregnant. And your doctor was correct, it can take 3 months for your body to fully adjust to this medication and it is normal to experience menstrual changes during this time. However, if you are concerned, then you should contact your doctor ...

I'm a 28 year old trying to get pregnant for the last 3 years. I was on clomid, duphaston for more than 1 year. I underwent 2 iui also. I'm ovulating well every month and all the medical reports are normal but I'm not getting success. Now my doctor advised me to take m2-tone tabs for 3 months. But in the first month itself i missed my periods (periods are regular always). I had taken a home pregnancy test on the 7th day of my missed period but it was negative. I just started taking birth control and it's been about 3 weeks now! My boyfriend came in me today. Coul I be pregnant? Help !!! Also I'm still bleeding ## Hi, Ashley! How are you? Did you start taking it on the first day of your period? If so, then you were immediately protected from pregnancy, because it prevents ovulation from occurring, unless you missed any pills. If you started later during your period, or at some other part of your cycle, then it becomes effective after 7 days. The bleeding can be a normal side effect, due to your body needing to get used to the hormones in these contraceptives, but you should consult your doctor to be certain. ## Yes I started the moment I saw that I was bleeding!
