I have a red unmarked capsule. Was told it's a 15mg hydrocodone. They said they had to be special made. Is this true? Is it a 15mg or could it be more? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? It is possible, but short of testing the contents of the capsule there is no way to be sure. A doctor can order a special formulation of any given prescription medication, which would then need to be made by a compounding pharmacy, but in general, they use plain white or clear, unmarked capsules. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic analgesic and lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there a compounding pharmacy in your area?

I have hot pink hydrocodone 15/150 thats from a compounding pharmacy without markings ## That is normal, since the pharmacy had to make it for you as a special order. It is cheaper for them to use unmarked capsules, in most cases. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a hot pink capsule no imprint on it. I have heard its hydrocodone but im not sure any idea what it could be? ## Is it a long capsule hot pink no imprints i have one and am not sure what it is but it sounds similar to what ur describing?

I got two white oblong tablets with no markings and was told they are 5 mg Hydrocodone. ## Not in the U.S. Under current law, the FDA requires all prescription medications that are available here to have markings to enable their identification, in case of emergency. The only exception would be for substances that are done by a compounding pharmacy, where they usually use plain capsules to contain oral medications. Thus, tablets with any markings are most likely an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance they could be a foreign medication. Is there anything else I can help with? ## In Texas I receive n still do, hydrocodone with no name on them. I've tried every pharmacy in my general area....no one carries Watson anymore. They were bought out by anothe...

Does it have hydrocodone in it? {edited for privacy}. I wanted to know because I'm having chronic pain but most of all I want to know what I'm taking? ## This is an over the counter tablet manufactured by LNK International and they list it as containing 250mgs of Acetaminophen, 250mgs of Aspirin and 65mgs of Caffeine, it is most commonly used to alleviate migraines. The FDA warns that its typical side effects may possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding, stomach irritation, nervousness, and insomnia. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Unfortunately someone I know took hydrocodone and replaced it with this over-the-counter pain pill. If you look it up (white pill 44 334) it will tell you that it is not a controlled substance. It is for he...

Hi. Came across a Norco 10/325 with simply "M367" and no "Watson" imprint. Real or garbage? ## @Stephen, Legitimate M367 pills don't say "Watson" on them. They only have the M367 imprint on the front and a vertical score line on the back side. Also, just for the record, these pills in particular are reportedly manufactured by Mallinckrodt, not Watson/Actavis. For verification, they carry a National Drug Code of 00406-0367 and are approximately 15.00 mm in size. You are right though about them being 10mg Hydrocodone bitartrate + 325mg Acetaminophen; a generic for Norco. Hope this helps! ## Extremely helpful and appreciated:-) There's so much bootleg garbage out there. Peace out! ## They are real and are the better hydrocodone pills out there compared to so...

My mom just got her pain medicine and it says A 40 on it and I can't find an image anywhere so I can make sure they're ok to take. ## If your mom just got her prescription filled at a licensed pharmacy, she should have received it in a normal prescription bottle with a label attached. I find it very alarming that this information would be absent. I did locate a white capsule-shaped pill marked with "A 40" that reportedly contains a combination of Acetaminophen (325mg) + Hydrocodone bitartrate (10mg), made by KVK-Tech. NDC: 10702-0191 Do you happen to know the color and shape of the pill in question? ## I got the same pill i found in my car did you find out what it is?

Thus, if there is no imprint, it is not a legal U.S. prescription medication, although there could be a chance it is a foreign medication of some type. The FDA warns ...

What is this pill? I was told it's Hydrocodone from Russia but I need confirmation. ## Hi mijaja, Any pill with no imprint could literally be anything from A to Z. I think your best bet in this type of scenario would be to have it analyzed by a lab or drug panel to at least verify the presence of opiates/etc... Did you get this pill from a pharmacy on the web or through some other means? If I had to guess I would agree with you that it's probably not of US origin, being that the FDA requires imprints on their prescription drugs. However, it doesn't rule out the possibility of something over-the-counter or foreign and for that reason alone I think you'll need a more trustworthy (or evidence-based) way to verify and measure its contents.

Have a white oblong pill with no imprint and am trying to see if it is Hydrocodone. It looks like it, but no imprint. ## Hello, Sam! How are you? No, all prescription medications in the U.S. are required by law to have unique imprints on them to enable their identification, in case of emergency. For example, if someone would overdose, the paramedics may come in and find them unconscious surrounded by pills and they need to be able to discover what they took, in order to provide the best treatment. Thus, if it has no markings, it is most likely just an over the counter product, of some type, though there is a small chance that it could be a foreign pill. The FDA classifies Hydrocodone as a narcotic analgesic, so it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such ...

Is an oval pill imprinted with 44 175 acetaminophen or hydrocodone? The flip side of the pill is blank. ## All tablets marked with the number 44 followed by 3 additional numbers are over the counter products. The company that manufactures them does not make any prescription products, as of this time. This tablet is listed as containing 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache. NDC: 50844-175 Labeler: L.N.K. International, Inc. white oblong with imprint m357 and a line on other side ## Hydrocodone 5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. ## Hello, Just wanted to add a minor correction to the dosage strength listed in post #1. A white oblong pill marked M357 actually contains 5mg of Hydrocodone + "500mg" of Acetaminophen, made by Mallinckrodt. For verification, this particular tablet also carries a National Drug Code of 00406-0357. Having said that, I'm a little doubtful about whether this pill is still being made, considering that 325mgs of Acetaminophen is the new maximum dose that's allowed in prescriptions. Hope this helps! ## David, Thanks. I apologize for my error ## No worries BL! I appreciate the helpful content you post throughout the site!

white oblong tablet, line through middle, IMI on one side of line, 110 on other side. Was told by pharmacy is hydrocodone ## Ah, okay, this one took some hunting, mainly because the imprint is blurry and hard to make out, it is actually MIA 110 and NO! IT DOES NOT CONTAIN HYDROCODONE! Whatever pharmacist told you that did not know what he was talking about. These tablets contain 325mgs of Acetaminophen, 50mgs of Butalbital and 40mgs of Caffeine, they are a generic for Fioricet, most commonly prescribed to treat migraine and tension headaches. The Butalbital is a barbituate, but there are not narcotics in these tablets. Some common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and shortness of breath. this blue oblong pill with L050 imprint is supposed to be hydrocodone but I cannot pull it up anywhere by the imprint number. Is really hydrocodone and what strength? ## Based on the description provided, I found your pill to be Ibuprofen PM (38 mg - 200 mg), with the imprint LO50. Ibuprofen is used for relief of symptoms of arthritis, primary dysmenorrhea, fever, and as an analgesic. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... My grandma got dark purple capsules and her nurse say their compound capsules hydrocodone 60 mg is there a such pill as such I'm scared a little bit because there's no markings and their dark purple capsules ## Hello! How are you and your grandma? Actually that does make sense, a compounded medication would not have any markings on it. There is no standard manufactured 60mg dosage available, so it would have to be specially ordered by her doctor and then created for her at a compounding pharmacy. They usually use unmarked capsules, because they are cheaper than those with logos or imprints on them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anyth...

I have a white round pill with numbers 4431 on it, need ID. ## Is that the complete imprint? Are there any additional letters, numbers or logos? ## If the other side of the pill has a logo over the number 200, then it is most likely Misoprostol 200 mcg (NOT Hydrocodone). NDC: 0172-4431, now discontinued. [1].

My pharmacy just switched to the Avkare brand of Norco 7.5. The imprint on it is IP 115. I feel like these do not work at all for me. I would like to know if anyone else that are on these or ever have been on them can let me know how it works/worked for them. ## Hello, Maria! How are you? Has there been any change? As permitted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, there can be fluctuations in generic medications. They are allowed to differ in the amount of the active ingredients by as much as plus or minus 20% of what's in the name brand, additionally, they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. Thus it is possible that this one is a little lower than the prior one you were taking. However, since the differences are slight, most people adjust within a we...
