THE TABLETS ARE WHITE AND ROUND AND ARE ENCODED 5658. CAN ANYONE VERIFY THAT THESE ARE REALLY HYDROCODONE, OR HAVE I PUT SOMETHING ELSE IN THE RX BOTTLE? ## Prescription: HYDROCODONE/APAP 7.5/750 TBMCK (White, oblong; scored one side, other side inscribed: M360) Do know what 7.5/750 means. Needs something for pain - do not want to use unless absolutely necessary - prescribed 9/2006. Know source (McKrodt spec Pharmaceuticals - cannot find when searching.) Any advice appreciated.

m357 capsule ## M 357 is 5 mg Hydrocodone + 500 mg Acetaminophen. Manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. It's a narcotic pain reliever generic for Vicodin. ## Roy is correct. I would like to post a warning though that this pharmaceutical company does not always have good quality control so their meds are not always reliable. There have been many complaints made about their products.

This tablet is manufactured by Greenstone Limited and they list it as containing 500mgs of Penicillin V, so it's actually an antibiotic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

My son had his tonsils removed on 6/2/2009. He has been on this medication for 10 days for severe ear pain/throat pain especially before eating/sleeping. Is this drug addictive? Should I be concerned that he is still taking? My husband is more concerned. I would like to trust physician's recommendation in that they would not prescribe for so long if it were a concern. I need a second opinion please. ## When I worked pain management in a very large hospital in Atlanta, I was taught that if you take the medicine for pain, there is almost no risk for addiction. If, however, he is taking it for a "feeling" then there is an issue. True pain needs to be treated. I hope this helps.

The dosage of the narcotic has been raised, while the Acetaminophen has been lowered, to help protect you from the damage that long term use of higher doses of it can cause, such as liver failure. I had a tooth extraction yesterday, been taking I Norco 7.5-325 regularly since; took one pill an hour ago and the pain is still unbearable, can I take one more or even half a pill more? ## Hi Ryan, Generally with this type of drug the dosing instructions indicate that you should take 1 pill every 4-6 hours or so. I could be wrong, but I think this is mainly due to the concerns associated with Acetaminophen and liver toxicity. From my own personal experience, it should be fine to take a half a pill more, as they do make a stronger norco with 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. Daughter had abdominal surgery, after which she was prescribed Hydrocodone/APAP 10/650. She only weights about 108-111, very thin. She started to have a massive headache, started throwing up blood and coughing up blood, had to call 911 to go to her home she was too weak and could barely move or talk. Should she have been prescribed such a high dose at hear weight. ## This is actually not an extremely high dosage, it is fairly standard. Please provide with the NDC for the above product. ## Hello, Nancy! How are you? Can you please double check the dosage for the one you need? There has never been a 7.5/700 dosage of this medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

This is 500mgs of Acetaminophen by itself, no narcotics. This is a generic or store brand of extra strength tylenol. ## Just an additional note, depending on where you looked you may have seen K30 listed as a narcotic because there used to be a small round codeine tablet with that marking but it has been discontinued and is no longer available. Caplet shaped pills with K30 are just Acetaminophen.
