In short, I was on hydrocodone for chronic leg pain 4 years ago. Very low dose, 5 mg 4 times a day. I spent the day in the woods with my family, woke up the next day swollen head to toe worse than I've ever seen. I couldn't even see my eyelashes when I closed my eyes. I was nauseated, dizzy, cloudy headed, and my kidneys were not functioning properly. I was a nurse so I knew right a way it was my adrenal glands. Anyway, my adrenal glands completely failed that day and never came back. Since that very day opiates stopped working as well. Doesn't matter what I take or the amount. I'm on cortisol therapy so I feel better physically but I'm scared to death and have avoided needed surgeries because I don't know how I'm going to feel afterwards. Doctors don't b...
