I was given a different brand of hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 by MFG AMNEAL, instead of my regular brand watson 10-325 I was told that my pharmacy wouldnt carry watson brand after the fact of giving me the new generic brand. Even though the label on my new brand states oval white tab.watson 853 not letting me prior of refilling my prescription. And I need to know if both brands are equally the same? I read most of people complain about this new MFG AMNEAL generic brand. I want the facts and truth about brands being the same. When i asked one of the pharmacist, she said, "watson my regular brand is the same as my new brand". But i would like an outsider professional opinion who doesnt work for my pharmacy. ## No not the same! Same thing happened to me, so I did my research! F...

Taking it for 3 yrs, back pain getting worse on 2 per day. The state is clamping down on opioids. What could my doctor prescribe for me at this point? ## Even with the clamp downs going on, your doctor can still prescribe necessary medications, they just have to be careful how much they prescribe and make sure there is a legitimate reason for the patient to need them. If the person has a possibly fatal illness, such as stage 4 cancer, such restrictions set forth by the DEA, exclude them. Too many doctors were prescribing pain medications, without verifying that a patient had a real reason to need them. The tablet you've mentioned is the 5/325mg dosage, so if your doctor things it may help, there is a 7.5/325mg dose and a 10/325mg that they could prescribe for you. The FDA classifies...

Hello, I have been on Norco 10/325 for several years and Watson then Quailtest always worked great. I go to a small pharmacy and they can no longer order Quailtest. They had Tris till this year and I liked Tris also. They will let me pick from whatever they have and that is Amneal, Mallinckrodt, or Camber. The Camber made me sick. So what would you choose between Amneal and Mallinckrodt? I know the reviews aren't great for either on here, but do you prefer 1 over the other? They told me they could also order other generics if I let them know. Thanks for any suggestions. ## When I had to have my dental work done, I had good results with the product from both of those manufacturers, but to me, it did seem that the Mallinckrodt worked a little faster. The FDA warns that Hydrocodone wit...

I have been taking hydrocodone 10-325 (made by Watson) for about a year. I picked up my prescription yesterday and instead of the normal yellow pill, I received a white oblong pill imprinted with m367 on it. I took 2 for breakthrough pain and had no relief what-so-ever. I called the pharmacy and was told that they will no longer be able to get the med from Watson. Does anyone know what has happened? I have chronic pain, and these white ones from Amneal Pharmaceuticals is not going to cut it. Has anyone else experienced this? ## Hello, Dano! How are you? There's no way to know which manufacturer's product your pharmacy will carry at any given time. You might be better served to talk to your doctor about trying a different medication. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the po...

I was later given the same prescription, but the pill was white and had IP 110 on it. The yellow stopped the pain with no side effects. The white makes me feel drugged and nauseous. What is the difference? I have also be give a 7.5 of the same medication. It is white with U02 on it. It makes me feel the same way as the white 10/325 does. Who are the manufacturers? I have experienced many generic brands, including Watson and Qualitest. My pharmacy just changed to the Amneal brand 10-325 hydrocodone/APAP. I am just not sure what to think about this. The pills have an IP on them. What have been the experiences of others taking this specific generic brand? ## Because these drugs can affect each individual differently, my opinion is that trial and error through one's own personal experience is the only way to accurately judge the efficacy of a specific tablet. On the other hand, I do get the sense that some brands/generics are manufactured with less quality inactive ingredients than others, potentially making them more prone to cause side effects or placebo-like responses from varying degrees of bioavailability. I haven't taken the Amneal bran...

I've seen Naproxen and have been told Vicodin has this imprint as well. Are Naproxen and Vicodin the same? ## Naproxen and Vicodin are two very different pain medications. To my understanding, the similarities found in the imprint are just a sign that they had been manufactured or redistributed by the same company (Amneal Pharmaceuticals). The IP 190 500 tablet contains Naproxen 500mg (NDC 65162-0190); a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. Ref: DailyMed The IP 109 tablet contains Vicodin (Acetaminophen 325mg + Hydrocodone 5mg); which is a combination of two types of pain medicine - Hydrocodone being an opiate narcotic pain reliever. (NDC 53746-109): Ref: DailyMed Hope this helps! ## You are probably confused because the markings are similar. Generic Norco 5/325mg (Hydrocodone/a...

My doctor has approved the name brand for generic Hydrocodone, but I cannot find a pharmacy that will even try to get a brand other than Mallinckrodt, Lupin, or Amneal; the generic brands that are sent to them. I was doing great when Watson had the yellow oblong 10/325 and am at my wits' end. I am in bad pain every day of my life. I don’t know how much longer I can take this pain. Not everyone with chronic pain is just a drug addict but we are all treated that way. Got to change soon or I can’t live this way. ## Have you tried any alternative opiates, since you can't find one of these that works for you? Some other choices are Hydromorphone, Oxycodone, Morphine, and Demerol. The FDA warns that they all carry the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects...

There just an not any good generics out there any longer, unless you can find Endocet? Ive been approved for brand. But the co pay is 450.00? I cannot handle that a month. Does anyone have good results with mallenkrodt Hydro 10? ## Hello, Dolly! How are you? No, there haven't been many complains about theirs, at all. You may have just grown tolerant to it, though. How long have you been taking it? This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. ## well,Dolly here! Ive b...

White small oblong pill with ip110; norco. Why it doesn't work as good as watson? ## This tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, a generic for Norco. NDC: 53746-110 This tablet is made by Amneal Pharmaceuticals. As to why it may not work as well as the ones made by Watson, well, it is a generic version of the drug. I know when you are given a generic or read the information pamphlets about them, you are told that they are exactly the same as their name brand counterparts, however, this is done to try to prevent people from being afraid to take needed medications. The truth however, is quite different. Under federal law, generics are allowed to differ in the active ingredient from their name brand counterparst by as much as PLUS OR MINUS 20%. The FDA consi...
