Hi to all .. What type of Prednisone is Acetate prednisone? Is it actually Prednisone? And would it help with arthritis? It's only 5mg ## Hello, Brenda! How are you? Yes, they are the same, the acetate just designates the specific chemical salt that the medication was derived from, so if you look at various FDA and NIH listings, you'll see many medications listed as Oxycodone Hydrochloride, Losartan Potassium, Morphine Sulfate, and etc. The FDA lists typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne, insomnia, and nervousness. Is there anything else I can help with?

Mine are labeled "sub hydrocodone acetate 5/325. They make me very sleepy and never used too. Makes it difficult to go to work on this medication, let alone drive. Thoughts? ## Hello, Kris! How are you? Yes, that means that your prescription was written for Norco and they substituted the generic Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen 5/325mgs. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What are the markings on them? That is what would enable me to check the inactive ingredients for you. Can you please post back with this additional information? Thanks!

I was recently switched from Alfuzosin Hydrochloride produced by Sun to one produced by Apotex. The only difference was the inactive ingredients. After the switch, I experienced two back-to-back episodes of severe dizziness and prolonged headaches after heavy exercise. I never experienced this severity during many years on the Sun product. I am wondering if there is are any active ingredients in the Apotex product which could have caused this - Dibasic Calcium Phosphate, Polyvinyl acetate phthalate, or Ferric Oxide Yellow. The other ingredients are the same. ## Hello, George! How are you? One of them could have caused it, if you're sensitive to it. However, you should have this checked out, to be sure of the cause. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibl...
