How To Write A Norco Scrip

Need to know if my combat surgeon can write 3 refills on Norco 10MG? It's intrusive to ask each month. Also, he is stone deaf. How will the pharmacy verify. He got rid of his phone. We text and email. ## Hello, CajunConnie! How are you? As of this time, no. The regulations were just tightened by the DEA, since this medication is so frequently abused. They've placed it in a more restrictive category, so patients can no longer have refills on it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is it LEGAL for my DOCTOR to write 3 REFILLS on my NORCO 10 MG SCRIPTS? SIMPLE QUESTION... YES OR NO will suffice. Thank you, in advance, for your help. ## Yes it's legal. ## Actually, as of this month, refills on this medication are no longer permitted. The DEA has found that it is being more and more frequently abused, so the classification and regulations were changed regarding it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Are there any other questions or concerns?

I received 2 scripts from my doc, both are wrote the exact same, Norco 10/325 with the exact same dosage and quantity, but I read that the second one, the doc has to write "do not fill til" on it and he didn't, what does that mean? Is it no good now or I should have filled them both at the same time? ## Hello, Wondering! How are you? You'll need to stop back at your doctor's office to have it corrected. You won't be able to get both filled, because such prescriptions are tracked, via a computerized government database and even trying to get them both filled could result in your becoming red flagged and not being able to get any filled in the future. Hello. I have a doctor who I have seen for a long time who writes has regularly written me scripts. Sometimes it is for norco and then sometimes the next month she will do percocet. Both are 10/325 everytime. The question I am asking is how can I ensure that the Pharmacy will have the specific Noroc/Percocet that I am looking for. For example, sometimes Walgreens will have the white Watson 853's which I don't like. Sometimes the CVS will have the white A333 Percs which I do like. Is there a way my doctor can specify on my script which brand/manufacturer she wants to perscribe? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? No, there is no way to specific any certain generic. The most your doctor can do is write it as brand medically necessary, or whatever the equivalent is in your state, so they...

I went to a pain management dr. I ve had hystorectomy and have been on 10mg / 325 norco. I moved back to florida from New Mexico. Having severe back problems urinary incontinence and etc I went to a Pcp. He gave me 5/325 120 count hydrocodone. Yesterday I went to pain management . Told him I was already on this and it wasn't working. He wrote me 90 7.5/325 and said that's what I needed to take. Get to pharmacy and pharmacy voids script per the doctors Orders. I told the truth. ? What's happening here ? Help! ## What isn't making sense to me here is that the doctor would write you the new prescription, then immediately tell the pharmacy not to fill it. Have you confirmed this with the doctor? Or are you just taking the word of the pharmacy? Sometimes pharmacies are guilty...

Is anyone else having problems finding a pharmacy to fill their scripts of Norco? I have been taking them for a few years now for my chronic pain. I always go to the same pharmacy chain, and its always the same doctor who writes my scripts, but since the new law change no one seems to have them in stock. Some pharmacists told me it was a manufacturer back order. We are told not to go without our meds, but yet how is that possible if we can't get them? Anyone knows of a pharmacy that has Norco 10/325 in the metro Detroit area? ## Dear Painfully Annoyed, Yes, this appears to be a huge problem at the moment. I have called every pharmacy in my insurance plan and everyone says the same thing. Your not alone, I was told it is a repackaging issue with the manufacturers due to the new laws....

I have been on pain meds since 2005 for tendinosis, and more recently for DDD and a herniated L5 to S1. I have been taking six Norco 10's a day since 2008, and usually had no problems getting my scripts filled until recently. It seems pharmacies are getting scared of these new laws. I was using Walmart for several months until today they said they weren't taking any scripts from my doctor because of "lack of communication and because he writes to many scripts for pain meds". Yes, he writes many scripts for narcotics because he's a pain specialist! And I'm sure if he ran a clinic for diabetics he would write lots of scripts for diabetes! I swear, this narcotics scare is driving people nuts! Anyway, I'm so sick of all this craziness. I just want a pharmacy that...

I have a question about my medication prescription, my dr had me on 240 10/325 generic Norco (hydrocodone) a month (1-2 every 4-6 hours max dose of 8) he recently needed to bump up the quantity to 270 (9 a day) but apparently my insurance only covers 240 a month. I was wondering if it was possible that the dr could write me the script for the 270 and the pharmacist charge my insurance for 240 of the prescription and charge me for the other 30 or if it all has to be charged to either insurance or me. I live in NY state, any info would be greatly appreciated! ## No, I don't think that will help. There is actually a limit on how much your pharmacy can give you each month and it doesn't matter if your doctor writes the prescription for more. There are government regulations that dic...

Someone has just told me that Gabapentin is the next step up to Morphine. Is this right? ## Simple answer - no. Morphine is an opioid. Gabapentin is generic Neurontin, an anticonvulsant used for pain. Neither Neurontin or gabapentin is an opioid. ## Thanks for that I didn't think it was. I think it was someone being doctor d*** ## Hey Carol, I used to be on opiods for documented pain (as opposed to junkies looking for a high, you know the story) but after the crackdown - even though my GP would still write me scripts for Norco I couldn't get them filled anywhere. I was told that only pain specialists scripts would be filled though others have said that is not necessarily the case. Having a lack of insurance and pain docs not accepting patients without I asked my GP (whom I pay o...

I've been on xanax, tramadol, adderall and norcos for 10 years now. I called last week for my adderall refill n nurse called me back saying my dr. Had left practice unexpectedly 3 weeks ago n the other providers n the office wont write for any of my scripts except for the norcos. She said to try n find another dr for the others, like i can afford another dr. bill along w the one i have w them, i have no insurance. Boom, not even a month worth until i could maybe find a new dr. Cold turkey from adderall tramadol n xanax all at the same time!! Inhumane n downright sick f***s i say. Talk about feeling like s***, i have a child w a congenital heart defect that needs my constant care n im treated like that after faithfully paying thousands upon thousands to that practice for over 15 year...
