I was taking 60mg morphine 2times adage and 30 mg morphine 4 times a day for a long time now pain clinic Changed me 4 mg diludid 2 times a day and 15 mg morphines what is the difference cause I am getting no relief place help thank-you sancha ## Your current doses are lower. Have you informed your doctor that you are not getting pain relief? I have been on Dilaudid for over 2 years now and I can't seem to get off of it. I'm under a doctor's care, but anyone who is on it knows it's very addicting! I think like everybody else, it's no good if you take it orally. It's only effective other ways. I always run out of Dilaudid before my prescription is ready to refill and recently I filled a script for oxycontin 40 mg to see if they could replace my 4 mg Dilaudid. I am curious as to how often this medication can be taken. Currently I take it every 8 hours, but it doesn't last that long. ## I take 6mg diludid suppossitory (2 3mg )with 50 mg Phenegan shots every 3-4 hours for my Gastroparesis Episodes. I have build up a tolerance to the drugs and have to take high doses now. The body does seem to build up immunities to the two drugs and I have to up the doseage about every year. Dilaudid is a semi synthetic keytone or Hydromorphone HCL, so it is i feel its twice the potency of morphine, short acting though. I take 70mg Methadone HCL and Dilaudid for breakthrough pain. I did also get Percocet 10/325 but after this new law he would not give me a one. I never ever felt like a dope addict but yet feel they are scrutinizing me at some pharmacies. How many hydrocodine 10mgs would be equivlent to one 30mg oxycodone? ## You'd need 45mgs of the Hydrocodone to equal 30mgs of the Oxycodone. However, where you meaning Hydromorphone?
