I have been on oxycodone and methadone for 9 yrs. because of 2 failed back surgeries. My doctor moved down the street and the new nurse says if they where filled 8/20 then can not be filled until 9/20. She said her computer wouldn't let her fill it sooner and the doctor would lose his license if he filled it to soon. I take them exact therefore I'll be out. Yet the pharmacist said she could call to have them fill it sooner. Does anybody know what the government says? so I can go back to the doctor with something. I have a feeling he doesn't know what she is doing. Maybe to lazy to look into a program that's screwed up? ## Can be filled 30 days apart. The computer must be wrong because if they were filled on 8/20, 30 days would be 9/18. There are 31 days In August. ## The...

I took a percocet 10-325 at 9 pm it's now 12:45 am and was wondering if I had to wait full 6 hours or can I take another ## Hello, Crystal! How are you? The Oxycodone in Percocet can be habit forming and, if you take it more frequently than as prescribed, you also run the risk of overdose, especially due to the Acetaminophen in it. Thus, it would be best to not change your dosing frequency, without your doctor's approval. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I'm having terrible pain with kidney stones. My apt it's not for another 13 hrs Can I take Oxycontine 10-325 more often than every 5-6 hrs to control the pain? ## I am o...

I just gave my husband 600mg ibuprofen 2 hrs ago. Can I give him the 10 mg oxycodone now or do I have to wait 2 more hours? ## Yes, ibuprofen is a different class of drug and can be taken at the same time, though for better pain control they are often staggered. So if he's prescribed oxycodone every 6 hours, you could give a dose, then 3 hrs later give ibuprofen, 3 hrs later give the oxycodone again...and so on. Just make sure he's not exceeding the max dose per day of oxycodone. ## @Stark, I just wanted to add a second opinion, in that Oxycodone + Ibuprofen is also available as a combination med that goes by the name of "Combunox". Although I've only ever seen this particular med available in a dose containing 5mgs of Oxycodone + 400mgs of Ibuprofen, and haven't...

I received an A 51 oxy 30 but my pill has a rounded A. The pictures online.have a pointed A. Is this fake? ## If you didn't receive it from a licensed U.S. drug store, then yes, it is questionable. This medication is often faked and others have reported having tablets with the rounded A, as well, though that is not shown in any of the databases. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

Two small pills, white one has M surrounded in a square-flipside, 05/52-totally scored. Pink one has 315, flipside,( ETH or 8H ) slightly scored ## The two small white ones are not oxycodone, they are prednisone, 5mg. This is a steroid used to reduce imflammation in joints, the lungs (for asthma, pneumonia) and other imflammatory conditions. Side effects include ravenous hunger!, insomnia, bloating, among other side effects. The pink pill IS oxycodone, 5mg. Generic for OXYIR or ROXICODONE. It is an immediate release tablet used for moderate to severe pain. It is a schedule 2, controlled substance that is abused often and can be highly addictive. Side effects include marked drowsiness, dizziness, euphoria, nausea, among other side effects. ## Sorry, I think you looked at the wrong pill n...

Dosage Conversion chart for Roxicodone immediate release from extended release ## Hello, Cappy! How are you? There is no conversion chart, since you're talking about the same medication, Oxycodone. One is just a slow release and one isn't, so the regular release is taken more frequently, with the dose split up throughout the day. The dose for the extended release is just split in half and taken twice a day. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I am taking 5mg (blue tablet) twice a day for back discomfort. I’ve been on it for quite s while I would say couple of yrs. I want to know if it can cause me to have a seizure every so often. They can’t find out any cause for them. I have no history of them or no one else in my family has seizures. I never ever had them before. I also get hot flushes through my whole body that last about 5 minutes or so every once in awhile. I want to go off them. How do I go about it. Is there a pill less strength than 5 mg(oxycodone). ## That is the lowest strength that I am aware is available, though if it is a regular release formulation, you should be able to cut it to lower the dosage, with your physician's approval. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habi...

Can you take oxycodone 5-325 and ambien together at bedtime? Can you take these medications 3-4 hours apart? How long does oxycodone relieve pain? ## The length of time for pain relief can vary from person to person. How often were you instructed to take it? As to taking them close together, that could result in more sedation and depression of the central nervous system than usual, according to NIH reports. If a person isn't tolerant, or has some other health condition, it could result in a fatality. Oxycodone also carries the risk of being habit forming.

my friend takes 15 mg oxycodone ## Did you have any specific questions about it? The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. It is an excellent analgesic that works well for most people and is often the drug of choice for someone with severe pain that may not respond to other treatment options. You may be more familiar with under the names Roxicodone, Percocet and Oxycontin, all of which contain it as an active ingredient.

I live in FL, and Florida has a "Darth Vader-like", evil governor, Rick Scott, who is intruding into every aspect of our lives, including medically and pharmaceutically. I know patients, such as injured ex-war veterans, who really need these medications. I also have a rheumatoid-sickle cell condition, and often I'm in immense pain, but I wouldn't dare ever ask for these f----king medications, although some of us are legitimate & really need them!!!! I HOPE THIS MOTHERF____ER SCOTT FRIGGEN GETS OUT OF OFFICE YESTERDAY, because I hate this clown. He needs to be RECALLED, as was Alvarez, in my county of Miami_Dade, FL. Get these jokers and chickenheads out of office and out of our bloody lives!!!! ## Hi Mary M, I'm sorry to hear about your frustrations, it's unf...

doc gave 10mg oxycodone ER but can only take 1 every 12 hours and its not working for pain!! wondering if u can take it sooner than the 12 hours? ## You may take one sooner, depending on your tolerance level... how long you've been taking the medication, etc. I wouldn't take it any sooner than 6hrs from your last pill. Time release pills often do not work as well as regular release pain medications I've found. Instead of taking another pill sooner, you might want to talk with your doctor and see if they will put you on a pain medication that isn't time release. ## You should not exceed your doctor's dosing instructions. If the given dosage is not helping you, you should inform them, as you may need a dosage adjustment, or to try a different medication. The FDA warns ...

ive been on them for 4 years im in so much pain andran out thanks giving day and withdrawling please help me ## I am not sure what type of help you are seeking. this site does not manufacture, sell, nor prescribe any medications, this is an information only website. Have you tried talking to your doctor? However, you should be warned that if you are using them more often than you are supposed to and ran out early, they may not do anything to help. There really isn't a whole lot you can do for the withdrawals other than take something over the counter for the pain and nausea. If they get severe and dangerous, you should go to your nearest emergency treatment facility for assistance. Are there any questions or comments? ## There is a new "drug" (for lack of a better term) call...

does anybody know how much a 5 milligram oxycodone cost ## Hi da! Off the streets, usually a dollar per milligram. Cheaper by prescription. ## @da, Based on my research, a quantity of 30 oxycodone 5mg pills from the pharmacy may cost an 'estimated' $20 (cash out-of-pocket) without the presence of insurance or savings cards. However, discount cards tend to make these tablets a lot cheaper when you go the legal route; often times cutting the cost in half. So that may be something to factor into consideration if you are getting them from a retail pharmacy. You might even want to call them up first just to verify the total before moving forward. I hope this helps!

Anyone familiar with oxycotin 60mg ? I was getting 60mg oc but I now have 60mg OP..I wasnt told of any change by the pharm. I noticed after taking these I have a rash under my arms and it seems I have to take the breakthru rx more often..Did I get dupped my my pharm. or are these pills new or different than what I was taken?? Thanks for any hep ## I am not sure what it is supposed to stand for, but Oxycontin OP is the new product from Purdue and is replacing the original product. It has been specially formulated to help prevent abuse of the medication. So no, you were not duped. They have discontinued the original and your pharmacy has no choice but to provide you with the new product. It is claimed to work the same as the original, however, there have been many complaints that is it no...

I WAS TAKING 30MG MORPHINE. MAD ME SICK AT MY STOMACH. MY DR SAID I MIGHT NEED PURE OXYCODONE. DOES ANY ONE KNOW IF THERE'S A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THEM BESIDE OXYCODONE 1 & 1/2 TIMES STRONGER. I JUST WANT TO STOP THE NAUSEA. STRENGTH NO PROBLEM. JUST NAUSEA. 30 MG. IS THERE A DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE TO. MORPHINE 30. & PURE OXYCODONE 30 MG. THANKS ANYBODY. ## Oxycodone and Morphine are similar drugs used for pain control. It all depends on how each person tolerates it. Morphine often makes people sick and nauseaus and vomit. Oxycodone on the other hand may not. Morphine makes me sick and oxycodone doesnt at all. I think it works better too. I think you will be fine and to give it a try ## I had the same problem with them. Oxycodone didn't really cause me any severe problems,...

IFollowing my quadruple bypass I continued to take Oxycodone for the past 18 months. Is it ok to stop taking it or are there withdrawl dangers involved? Please note I entered my wrong email adress on my previous question. This is the correct one. ## The question here is what is the strength and how often a day are you taking Oxycodone? I am not a physician but I am in the medical field and do deal with medication on a daily basic. My advise is to talk with you physician regarding this. There is a possibility having taken this drug for 18 months, that you may experience some withdrawl. The other thing is if you are truly in severe pain (because this is the only reason you should be taking this medication). Then you probably still need it. However this drug is highly additive, and often ti...

I have taked oxycodone and hydrocodone over the last 30 years due to chronic kidney stones (I have passed, or had removed, well over 50 stones in my lifetime) and a severely scarred ureter on my left side. Often I go several days without having to take a half of a Hydrocodone 5/325. That is my "go to" dose when my side starts to ache, and it usually takes the edge off. If not, I will take another half, or if it seems to be getting worse, an Oxycodone 5mg. They work just fine, but if I take an Oxy near bedtime. I won't get to sleep for about 6 hours. I don't feel agitated or hyped up, I just can't get to sleep. During the daytime, if I have to take an Oxy, I don't feel much other than the pain subsiding and a little bit of a euphoric feeling. I am very fortunate i...

Can i take 10mg oxycodone every 4 hours without problems, as i take it every 6 hours and it doesn't last long enough? ## You should not take it more often than your doctor has instructed. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Have you informed your doctor? You might need to try a higher dosage.

If I took a 20 mg of prednisone this morning for my bad knee, can I take a 5 mg of oxycodone later in the evening if I can't take the pain? ## Hello, Lisa! How are you? That should be fine, as long as they've both been prescribed by your doctor. I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between the two, but it's always best to double check such information to be sure. However, these medications are often prescribed together. Prednisone is classified by the FDA as a steroid that is used to treat swelling, inflammation, allergic reactions and immune disorders. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, fluid retention, acne and insomnia. Oxycodone is classified as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and ...

Hello, I have been taking Suboxone for approximately 3 weeks. I was taking opiates, legally, for four+ years but recently I had problems after surgery by increasing my dosages and eventually running out quite often which lead all my doctors to a rehab place. I went through 3 weeks of Intensive Outpatient Treatment which was complete crap but it kept me busy during the morning. I now have an Rx from my PCP who KNOWS about me being on Suboxone and said to stop the Suboxone for a couple/few days and then start the Oxy's. Here's my question: Can I fill the Rx for OxyIR when I'm going to be picking up my most recent Rx of Suboxone tomorrow? I feel like the pharmacy might be thinking it's Doctor Shopping but if they call my PCP, he knows about the Suboxone use. He desperately ...
