How Long Does The Oxycontin 80mg op to work
how long does it take a oxycontin 80mg op to start working after you swallow it ## About 15 to 20 minutes, though it can vary some depending on your own body, as well as if you've recently eaten. Learn more Oxycodone details here. It is a time released formulation, so it won't have as much of an immediate effect as the regular or instant release, though. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I have a Rx for OxyContin which is a month old. Can I still have it filled? ## Prescriptions are usually able to be filled for up to one year from the date it was issued. ## After an hour it's fully kicked in for me. ## I take those but I find chewing them makes them come on faster. Also it works better for me. ...

how long does it take to work oxycontin 80 mg / roxidone 30
If I take an OxyContin 80 mg at 10 PM Monday night, and on Tuesday morning I take one 80 mg + one 30 mg Oxycodone at 7 AM would it be working in my body by 8:30 that morning? Thanks Lonnie ## Yes, based on your dosage schedule I'd say it would definitely be working in your body by then, regardless of whether you take immediate release or a delayed release formulation. For instance, conventional oxycodone has a peak plasma concentration in your blood stream of about 1 hour after taking it, whereas the time-released version would reach its peak after about 3 hours. Half life can be up to about 4 hours, and traces of it remain in your body for up to 72 hours (but by that time you would probably have taken your next dose if you are on a regular pain management schedule). Hope this helps! ...

how long does it take oyxcontin 10 mg to start working?
I was just given this med Oxycontin10mg twice a day by my dr for pain but I don't know how long until it starts working. I have Vicodin but I don't really know how much of it I should take to help with the pain. I have only taken one dose of the oxy ## Oxycontin is a time released formulation of Oxycodone and it will take approximately 15 to 20 minutes, after you take it, to start working. Then it is slowly released for approximately 12 hours. As to the Vicodin, you shouldn't take more of that than what your doctor, or pharmacist has instructed. It is generally one, every 4 to 6 hours, as needed. Is there anything else I can help with? ## My experience is that after 1 hour, the beginning effects are noticed. ## Yeah you won't get immediately relief and in my opinion much... ...

my new script doesn't work as well as the original oxycontin
Is there a brown colored pill for the 60mg oxycontin OP... my new Prescription is brown with the number 60 on one side and And the letters op are both capitalized on the reverse side? If anyone can help please comment!!! ## Hi, Paul! Sorry that it's not working well for you. There have actually been many posts similar to yours, since the formulation of the Oxycodone was changed. Many people have said that it doesn't work well for them anymore, plus it seems to be causing some odd, unexpected side effects. The original formulation is no longer available, you can only get Oxycontin in this new formulation that's been specially formulated to help prevent abuse. Learn more Oxycontin details here. the changed oxycontin
since they have changed the oxycontin, it DOES NOT WORK. ## There have been many complaints about it not working, as well as it causing unusual side effects. I am very sorry to read that you also had problems with this new formulation. The only thing I can really suggest, other than taking to your doctor about using an alternative medication, is reporting the problem to both Purdue and the FDA at the following numbers: Purdue Pharma number for drug safety/medication issues: 888.726.7535 FDA MedWatch number: 800-332-1088 Are there any questions or comments? ## if attorney's can bring suite against companies for damage done from types of drug's, why cant they bring suite for changing a drug that DID work until they changed it and made it cause alot of side effects and there is not... ...

30 mg OxyContin not working.
I'm having break thru pain which is seriously painful. What could My pain Dr do? ## Hello, SolidMike! How are you? Since this is a time released medication, your doctor could prescribe an instant or regular release one, in addition to it, to help with breakthrough pain. There are quite a few choices that can be prescribed. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you spoken to them about the problem? ## I I really feel for everyone here that is really hurting and not just seeking a high. my Dr has me on 2 -15Mg Ms Contin per day with 2- percocet 10's. well long story short they aren't helping at all.what is the next step? can't sleep. const... ...

does opana feel like oxycontin
I am in pain management and I currently take oxy 30mg 3x's a day... my doctor is willing to switch me to something else if I want, since the oxys do not provide enough relief. when I asked her what kind of dose I would start at the only thing she would match mg for mg would be morphine..opana she will only start me at 20mg 2 per day. does anyone know if this would be equal to the oxy I take now?? I have read all about how opana is supposed to be about twice as strong as oxy but still I was afraid to switch.. also, does opana " feel " the same as oxy??? thanks to all for reading and replying, HOUSE ## Hello, House! How are you? Morphine is actually weaker than Oxycodone, so matching mg for mg likely won't work. If you were taking 30mgs of Oxycontin, you'd need 45mgs o... ...

60 mg. OxyContin
I have been on OxyContin 60 mg. 3 time'sa day for about 6 or 7 year's. It woked GREAT. I have gotten 3 refill's of the NEW OxyContin they are not the same, they do not work as the old ones did, they do not last as long, it takes longer to take ANY kind of effect, I have went to the doctor, he does not want to change any thing, I called Purdu to find out how to get the old one's back, some one said if op is on the pill instead of oc it would be equal to the old one's. I dont know ! all I know is I went from being able to thing's to sitting in a chair or laying in a bed, I can not even get out of the tub now with out help, I have 6 grandchildren that I use to be able to play with (not for a long time, but now FORGET IT.) oxycontin oc 80
is there a way to take out the filler ## No, the new Oxycontin OP has been specifically designed to prevent people from doing just that. They are trying to curtail abuse of the medication. It is, however, still supposed to work the same and can cause the same side effects: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and constipation. Do you have any other questions? ## the new reformulated drug oxycontin op does not have the same effects and pain relief that the oxycontin oc brand has.what should i do?I am on oxycontin 80 oc mg. ## Its not reformulated . And its the same molecular structure as the o.c. you were probably abusing the o.c. which made them into instant release. ## Verwon, the questioner specified OC, NOT OP. The answer is that if you want a SOLUTION which will be instantly available to t... ...
