I am prescribed fentanyl 25mcgs/hr. Sometimes I have trouble keeping the patch on. I had a couple fall off early this month and couldn't get my refill early. So I decided I would use Subxn to help if there was withdrawal. It worked good, but now it's time for me to stop and put back on my patch. I don't know how long I have to wait. I took 2mgs yesterday at 3pm. It's now 1pm. Is it too soon? ## You will be fine to take it, 2mg is a really low dosage- I take a-more than that. Suboxin is a opiate blocker- your patch may not seem as strong but I doubt it- If you take suboxin over a period of time 3days or more - then your patch would be a waste. That low of a dose will not effect that patch 2-day. But if you hadden take a 8mg gram suboxin- I would suggest wating 2days befor...

How long after taking tram can i get back on my zubsolv.i take zubsolv 5.7mg/1.4 but hve taken tramadohl for a couple of days since i was out of my zubsolv.I have my prescription and want to get back on it.Thankd ## Hello, Amy! How are you doing? Since Zubsolve contains Naloxone, you need to be in full withdrawal, before you can start taking it, again. Just like when you first started taking it. Thus, a few days will most likely be required, to avoid precipitated withdrawals. Your doctor should be able to advise you on how long. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## How long after taking subzolv ,can i start taking ...

I was on suboxone 12 mg a day and was took off n put on Norco 10 mg how long should I wait after last dosing of my subox ## Hello, Raerae! How are you? Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you usually have to wait at least 72 hours for other opiates to be effective, due to the Naloxone in the Suboxone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I have been addicted to oxy for almost a decade. My wife just had a baby about a year ago and I want to get off of these horrible things. I am completely out of oxy and I have an appointment to see a doctor in about a week but I was able to get a few Suboxone. I'm trying to find out how long I have to wait between my last oxy and taking the Suboxone. I am the sole provider in my family and I have to go to work tomorrow so I'm trying to make the withdrawal process as short as possible. I have been taking 100 mg of oxy a day. Can anyone please help ## Hello, Tim! How are you? I'm so very glad that you've decided to get the help you need. Just want to tell about my story. I was taking 9 perc 10s at a time which is a very expensive habit to have plus I have a family to care for. I got addicted because I abused my script due to lupus then my mom died and it all went down hill from there. Anyway I got on zubsolv 5.7 took it 3 times a day for 4 days then w times a day 10 days. I stopped taking it for 2 days and then for the next 2 weeks took it randomly skipping days. And now it's been 7 days since my last dose. No withdrawals yet. And hopefully I won't have any but the cravings are strong but also the pain is real from the lupus. Not sure what I'm gonna do about the pain but for now I'm free. ## Hi keyra, Thanks for sharing your story. It sure helps paint a picture for what someone else might come to expect ...

I've taken suboxone for about 3 weeks at 1 to 1/2 mg a day. I've been given my norcos back from the doctor , when can I use them again? ## Hello, TT! How are you? Unless your doctor instructed you otherwise, you should wait at least 72 hours, or the Naloxone in the Suboxone will neutralize the Norco. I do not see the answers to this question. You have to be in full blown withdrawals. I wanted something to get of 40 mg of oxycodone and then the doctor told me I could have withdrawals if I took too soon so your going to be in withdrawals anyway. Im scared. What kind of drug can you take so you don't get that opioid withdrawal syndrome. Wish sounds as about as scary as withdrawals ## Tunpuli, Well no matter how you proceed you will have to experience some level of Withdrawl Before you can transition to one of these ORT medications. It is highly advisable to seek care with a trained medical provider so they Can initiate treatment at the appropriate time.Good luck in this new Phase of your life. ## @tupuli, Re: "how long after taking zubsolv can you use opiate" With all due r...

If I took a zubsolv this AM can I safely take an opana tonight? ## @big a, Depending on how much you took and how frequently you take Zubsolv, it seems like most comments on here recommend waiting at least a few days before you can feel the full effects of something like Opana. This is mainly due to buprenorphine's long half-life of anywhere between 24 to 60 hours (at which point half of what you took is still working in your system). However if it was just a one time thing, I'd imagine that you probably wouldn't have to wait quite as long. Does anyone else have personal experience switching from Zubsolv to an opiate after short term use? ## I'm taking zubsolv and want to know if I can still take my fioricet for my headaches. I took an 8mg suboxone strip this morning around 8 am and im still in withdrawal and it is now 5:30. Can i take a oxycodone without throwing myself into hard withdrawal? I had different people tell me different things. ## Hi tara, Timing is really going to vary for each individual, so that's probably why you keep hearing different feedback. However my opinion based on the reviews I'm seeing here on MedsChat is that it might be a good idea to wait at least a few days after taking the Subuxone before having an opiate like Oxycodone. I think this is largely due to Buprenorphine's long half life of 24 - 60 hours, as reported by samhsa.gov. So as long as the Suboxone is still active in your body, that seems to me like the best way to determine whether it's ok take Oxycodone o...

Ok I have been given a prescription of norco 7.5. I have been on subs since Dec 2013, 8mg a day. Is it safe to take them when they pull my tooth? ## It will not help with your pain until you stop Suboxone for at least 48 hours, and even with that you might get limited relief. ## Steph77 is right it's a complete waste, you should probably just take an extra 4mg of sub that's what my doc told me to do and it worked call your doc and see what he says. ## Ok so it did work with the extra 4mg. I don't do pain well at all. I started bystolic 4 years ago. I ve had several issues with it. The most troubling is the 40 pound weight gain. Just stopped bystolic. Wondering if anyone can tell me if I am stuck with this gain or will I start to lose it. I am not usually overweight. But could not lose an ounce on bystolic. ## Hello, Sue! How are you? What did you replace it with? If you were taking it for high blood pressure or a cardiac condition, then you can't just stop such a medication abruptly, unless your doctor has approved your doing so, because that creates the risk of a rebound effect, which could result in severely elevated blood pressure and heart rate. You really need to work with your doctor to find a medication that works for you, without causing such problematic side effects. But yes, once switc...

I took 4mg suboxone at 9am this morning and have never taking them before. Can I take a Percocet tonight and still get pain relief? ## People often get confused very easily about this. As an addict who used opiates for about 10 years and now on suboxone for 2 years, and having gone to over 15 rehabs and countless suboxone doctors I have a bit of knowledge on this issue. If you take a suboxone and immediately after try to do opiates, YOU WILL NOT GO INTO WITHDRAWAL. you will just not feel the effects of the opiates because of the blocker. Now if you do it the opposite way, if you do opiates and immediately take your suboxone (you have to wait at the very least 12-24 hours to take it), then you will go into immediate withdrawal and believe me, it is TORTURE! Ask any doctor or anybody who ...

Didn't your doctor provide you with details on how to do so? Generally, it will take a few days for Subutex to process out of your body, so the Methadone can work. Usually, they advise 72 hours, but it can vary from person to person. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. ## U can take methadone right after. I have been taking this pills for two days now so I would like to know after how long does this pills start work with bacteria found in a persons body ## Hello, Ponkie! How are you? This contains the active ingredient Erythromycin and the general rule with antibiotics is that if they are working, you shouldn't see any worsening of your condition after taking it for a full 24 hours and you should see improvement after taking it for a full 3 days. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Learn more Erythromycin details here. Is there anything else I can help with?
