suboxone
has anyone had good results on soboxone ## I have. I was addicted to pain meds for years stemming from a knee injury in college. When I finally told my doctor about all the extra pills I would take, i.e. buying them on the street, he advised me to try suboxone. I did, and I started at a higher dose, and it's fairly easy to taper the dose down in the beginning, just make sure you do it with your doc's help and let him/her know how you are feeling, physically. It is a little harder when you start going down from 2 mgs a day to 1, then 1/2 then a 1/4, and so forth. I've had more sucess taking half my dose in the morning and half in the evening, that could easily be psychological though. Anyhow, it is possible for this treatment to work, just don't try to wean yourself off t... ...

suboxone
has anyone come down from suboxone slowly with no ill effect. ## yes ,i was on 115 mgs of methadone @ swithed to suboxone,it was much easier to ween down from sub than methadone,i'm on 4mgs,down from 16 mgs,it's a good treatment and you must ween down slowly,2mgs every 2 weeks,no sickness, that wasn't the case with methadone. ## Suboxone is very popular for this very reason, a slow taper makes it much easier to get off and stay off drugs. ## i am down to one suboxone a day now after being on three for about 6 months...i cannot afford it anymore so i plan to be weened on in a month or so...should i split my films in half for 2 weeks then to 1/4 ? will that help with withdrawal symptoms....i am scared of the symptons cause i work and go to school and do not want to be or feel s... ...

Want to continue quick taper. Pills weren't made to break in 8 pcs. Friend won't give up a strip. Selfish pig. Their are 2mg hex tabs available, right! ## If I were u I would go 2 the Dr. And get on suboxone. It works wonders on taking away cravings and w/d. Any other ??? Feel free 2 ask. I was on methadone then got on subs. Best thing I've ever done. And, it's hard b cause people don't want 2 give them up. A lot of people get UA's done from the Dr. 2 check you're levels. HOW TO USE SUBOXONE AT HOME
I have ten subs. I have been taking oxycontin for pain but want to try at home to w/d. I can't discuss this with my doctor as it will affect my insurance. This is a fact..in my case... Can someone on here tell me how to use my subs? I would appreciate any answers and no lectures. How many do I need to withdraw..Thanks so much ## you have to be off the oxycontin long enough to start feeling the withdrawals, THEN, and only then, you take the suboxone. I was on a boatload of hydro, and just 2mg calmed me down. make what you have last. start with 2mg,if that doesn't help, do another 2mg. just a little goes a long way ## Suboxone contains a powerful opiate Buprenoprhine, with the agonist Naloxone. So, it can also put opiate users into withdrawals if it is not used carefully. It shoul... ...

Suboxone/no excuse
People who moan and go on about how expensive suboxone and dr visits are well it's pretty simple and I say this because I to take suboxone ,I have for 2yrs 2 months it's not cheap but neither was your addiction I'm not stupid 20yrs of addiction has taken everything away from me now it's slowly coming back at $1.00 a mg or more in some cases like oxy-codon or Percocet 30 s I've payed $40.00 dollars a piece and that barley scratched the surface in getting me feeling better was taking 3to 4 a day everyday and I afforded that so the suboxone is very affordable compared to getting opioids off the street so do your best to make it work people and god bless ## Dear Jimmy24z, I totally agree with u. I'm lucky enough 2 have health insurence, so, I only pay $40 a month 4 a... ...

can you take oxycotin while on suboxone
If your taken suboxone can you take a oxy for pain? Will it make you sick or no ## Dear mjp it is not a good thing 2 take Oxy with subs. You could get very sick or it could be worse. how much suboxone to reach ceiling effect
Want to know how many 8mg suboxone strips it takes to reach the 'ceiling effect' which docs say is equivalent to 30mg of methadone? ## Sub dr. told me 32mg or 4 of the 8/2 strips. In my opinion thats way too much sub for anyone to be on anyways. ## I never felt suboxone, whether I took 1 or 4, subutex ceiling affect for me was 4 or 32 mg... ## Hey christian777, Your not suppose to feel suboxone. It doesn't make you high. You might feel something very slightly at first but that goes away quickly and you just feel normal. Ceiling effect just means that after so many mgs the drug just can,t do anymore for you. Thats why when someone needs more than lets say 30mgs of methadone to "feel right " suboxone may not be the best choice for them. Methadone has no ceiling effect ... ...

can you get sick from subutex while on suboxone
is this possible or is it all mental? I know someone who is on suboxone but prefers the subutex (white ones). He says that when he stops using them even suboxone doesn't help and that he feels sick. Is it in his head? ## The main narcotic in both of them is the same, it's Buprenorphine. The only difference is that Suboxone also contains Naloxone. Learn more Suboxone details here. So, it really doesn't make sense, but there's no way to be sure how any given medication is going to affect any given person that takes it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## no, must be in your head, unless you cant hand... ...

suboxone and depression
hi... does anyone else out there get relief from chronic depression by taking the suboxone? i take it illegally whenever i run out of percs, and it always makes me feel better, like i can do more things, and i have more energy...next week, i go to a suboxone doctor to get on this legally, but should i tell him that i take them illegally and that they help with my depression? i am not sure if i should tell him this..i would love to hear from soneone...thanks ## I take suboxone from a doctor and after you taking percs, yes, he may start you on the suboxone program($$$) if he sees fit- or if you are truly addicted to opiates, but when you tell him you take percs for depression he will definitely add an anti-depressant to your med. list then taper you off the sub. program. It works. Depressio... ...

suboxone strips vs pills
Maybe im crazy but i don't like the strips, i just don't feel they work as well as the pills. I never ran short with the pills, but the strips i seem to take more. Anyone else feel this way? My dr said she'll only prescribe the strips and it's all in my head. ## Hello, Terisita! How are you? You're not the only one that has said this, it just seems that different formulations work better for different people. However, if you stuck with the strips at the amount you're supposed to take, then your body would likely adjust after a week or so. The only other suggestion I can make if you're not happy is that you try to find a different doctor. Does anyone else have any suggestions? ## Hi, I,m the other way around. I like the strips better then the pills I agree wit... ...

Everyone is making me feel guilty about starting suboxone
Today was my second full day of being on suboxone. I am completely ready for change and dedicate to getting clean after 7 years of drug abuse. The last few years I have been using a lot of oxycodone everyday. I didn't think I could live without it. The reason I decided to make the call to the clinic was my fiancé. He had known about my problem for a while but it got to the point were he felt that he would never be able to trust me and it was causing a lot of financial and emotional problems. So I called for him. Now the problem is that he had just started using, infrequently, and now that I'm on the road to recovery it's like he is mad at me for feeling good. I feel like me being happy and not being sick is really pissing him off. He's totally stopped being su... ...

can u take suboxone and codine
hi iam taking suboxone i would like to know if i take codine with it would i feel the codine also is it possible to go through withdrawls from codine if on suboxone ## more info please! 1) what dose are you on, how long have you been taking suboxone? 2) How much codeine we talking about? Are you meaning a dose to make you feel high? Or do you have a headache?! 3) what is your usage history? If you have been on Suboxone over a few days then dont take codeine as it will have no effect. It wont hurt you but wont do anything either as the suboxone will boot it out your receptors. You say 'would I feel it' which suggests to me you are looking to get high off the codeine. So the answer is 'No' unless you are on a very low dose and take a high codeine dose. I honestly wouldn... ...

i need answers about suboxone
my wife has been taking high MGs pain killers! her last dose was 2 am she ran out and took a suboxone and says it didnt make her feel better what shout i do????? ## I would speak with her doctor, Suboxone is highly addictive. If she is also taking other pain killers, it could be very dangerous for her. To learn more about Suboxone click on the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## The reason it did not make her feel better is because you have to be in slight to moderate withdrawal for Suboxone to work properly. Taking it too soon can actually throw you into worse withdrawal symptoms. ## Please, I need info! My son's girlfriend is pregnant and is on suboxin since Mar. She might already be 4 mths, but I am conserned about my... ...

subtext/suboxone information
You people have no idea about how subutex/suboxone works. 1 you don't need to wait anymore than 24 hours to start subs if using H. 2 subs are both agonist and antagonist so once you reach a certain dose they effectively block out any other opiate/opiod that you try to use. 3 taking other opiates/opiods while on subs will NOT make you sick, you just won't feel their effects due to the subs blocking properties. 4 subs are not the magic bullet for addicts as you also become dependent on them and after being on subs for a while you will find that coming off them is VERY difficult and extremely long winded, the best you can hope for is to taper down to the smallest amount you can (I'm taking crumbs here; break your pills into small pieces when you want to get off them) but even d... ...

detox methods to get off suboxone
I ,due to a severe injury, was on methadone for 8 yrs and got off that crap and on suboxone at the advice of a friend. I now am at 2 mgs of suboxone daily. My pain issues are mild to none and I want off subs .I went to my doctor who claims he has Much experience with this and has proven that to me...but his method is scaring me and from what I read online I am very hesitant. He prescribed me 2mg dilaudid and valium which I hate and plans to wean me off the subs. Is this right??? I can handle a mild w/d but not a heavy one due to my work. I am not looking for people tellin me to suck it up or give advice other than if the detox method described is reasonable or crazy?? Everytime I try to go below 2mg of subs I feel like hell will a dilaudid taper make it easier or start a new addiction an... ...

Switching From Suboxone To Methadone
I've been on the highest dose of suboxone for about a year now and i don't feel like it's helping at all anymore. I wake up miserable everyday with horrible cravings and i wish i hadn't woken up at all. I want to switch to methadone for pain which is what my family Dr. treats me for. I think my Dr will write for it for pain management. But since i just picked up my suboxone for the month would it be able to be filled and also would the methadone be covered by my welfare insurance? I know he can write for suboxone even though i never asked him to do it since i go somewhere else. I live in Philadelphia i don't know if that makes a difference. Anyway any help would be greatly appreciated. ## Methadone and suboxone can't be taken together.. it's deadly My older s... ...
