Just started Viibryd day 6 at 10mg, went off cold turkey 40 mgs of Prozac, and 50 mgs of Amitriptilene (spelled wrong)..I have been in hell..I'm lightheaded and feeling very aggitated, I kind of feel like I'm crawling out of my skin..But this is the worst part and my main question..I average 4 to 5 migraines a week and can usually get rid of them within 3 to 5 hours..I now have a migraine morning noon and night, has any one else while taking Viibryd, has your migraines increased...Thanks!! ## At this point, it's actually difficult to say whether the migraines may be from the Viibryd, or from stopping the other medications abruptly. Learn more Viibryd details here. The only way to really tell would be to give it a few weeks, so the withdrawals from the other medications stop ...

Hi, Just thought I'd let everyone know the best thing to take for migraines.. I'm currently on the bupap 50 mlg and they do work BUT if u want something very effective without all the acetaminophen in it try IMMITREX. It works wonders . When I was on it, I only had to take one and I have headaches everyday and migraines often. Hope this helps . -Bri ## I've taken every medication under the sun for my migraines. Maxaly always used to do the trick until it just stopped working. My MD loaded me with topamax, verapimrl, despite etc. I did the in house treatment of the DHE infusion. Botox. You name it. Had my deviated septum fixed and that stopped them for quite some time!!! I now take indomethacin (diff dises) as well as my imitrex injection for my thigh but it doesn't seem ...

Yes, I have, and am presently taking topamax for miraines and extremely bad cluster migraines, I spent four days in the hospital back in Sept, I have never had so much pain in my life, give it a try it should stop them, and you will lose some weight too!!! I lost 15 to20 lbs. ## Topamax has been suggested for my Fibromyalgia. I want to know if anyone has taken for that specific condition. If so, has it been beneficial. ## started on Topamax 25mg for fibromyalgia which were also causing the headaches. I'll keep you posted and let you know how it's working ## Not diagnosed with Fibro but treated like I had it. Topomax with Lyrica only relief in seven years.

I just started Tamoxifen 10 days ago after lumpectomy and radiation for ER+. Breast cancer. Clear margins, sentinel node negative. My oncologist recommended radiation and IV chemo for one year. I agreed to radiation, refused chemo. Arimidex recommended, I agreed and started taking as soon as I finished 6 weeks of radiation. I was unable to tolerate the joint pain and bone aches, and the very frequent and severe hot flashes so I stopped Arimidex after 3 months. That was 3 years ago. At my last oncology visit, my doctor recommended I start Tamoxifen just to be safe, as I have no signs or symptoms of recurrence. I reluctantly agreed to give it a try and started it 10 days ago. The amazing thing about starting tamoxifen is that my almost daily migraines have suddenly stopped. I have had sev...

I have been taking morphine ER 15mg for 3 years and hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325. I've also suffered from migraines for about 20 years. I get about 12 migraines a month. In the last couple of months I have noticed an increase to 20 a month, so I stopped taking my meds for 5 days and they seem to be better. So should I talk to my doctor about this? ## Yes, that would be a good idea, I think. Most opiates carry the risk of causing side effects, including headaches, according to the FDA, as well as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and constipation. But any time you experience worsening headaches, or more frequent ones, you should have it checked out to be careful. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Morphine causes horrible headaches, that is the main cause for the migraines

the only things different is:that plain bupap has no caffeine and twice the tylenol per pill than generic fioricet:Butalbital ## Hi, Mary! Sorry about the problem you're having with migraines. It could be that it's the caffeine that's helping your migraines. It does work for alleviating headaches for many people and people that frequently indulge in caffeine often find themselves getting headaches if they suddenly stop, or lower their intake. Learn more Caffeine details here. I frequently found that when I had a headache that nothing else would touch, the Excedrin products with caffeine often alleviated it. Do you drink coffee or tea regularly? ## Should I be concerned now that im taking the blue generic fioricet instead of the white generic. Im nervous about the change. The...

I have been on endep for the past year due to anxiety I have cut down to 10 mg I am sick of taking it as I have been putting on to much weight I am also on sandomigraine .5 in which I take 2 every night for preventative from headaches/migraines but still get them why and what if I was to completely stop taking them ?? ## Hello, Belinda! How are you? Endep is listed by the FDA as containing Amitriptyline, it is a tricyclic antidepressant, so suddenly stopping it could cause withdrawal and rebound effects, which may include nausea, dizziness, fever, chills, diarrhea and rebound depression and/or anxiety. Sandomigran is listed as containing the active ingredient Pizotifen, which is intended to reduce the frequency of migraines, but actually doesn't prevent them all. Stopping it will li...

Hi all...I'm now on Day 6 of Viibrd 10mg starter pack. My headaches have gone way, thank goodness, and no migraines! I did have one horrible day of "tummy issues" but that seems to be going away too. I'm worried that once I switch to the 20 mg of Viibryd that will happen again..and it's miserable especially when you work in an office like me. I feel good moodwise, however, and no other side effects. I stop the half Celexa pill on Wednesday so I am sort of worried about that. The last time I forgot a pill I got the brain zaps. ## Whattype of stomach issues did you have? It was nausea, pain or bloating, there might be something you can take to help minimize them. What is Methergine used for? Any info would be appreciated. ## Methergine was prescribed for me for migraines to contract the blood vessels (a vasoconstrictor), prescribed by the Michigan Head Pain and Neurological Institute in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My class of migraines responds to all of the vasoconstrictors. Methergine has been used for pregnant women to stop bleeding. regular Primary Care physicians know little about migraines. Cafergot is in that class, I believe and works well for me, but watch for rebound headaches in long term use. This class is more responsive for me than Imitrex category. Hope this helps some. ## Where did you fill your script? I can't find. Anyone who carries it

Can anyone recommend a new psych medication? I am bipolar and have tried lithium for 3 years, tegretol, abilify, respedal 4 mg& seroquel which worked the best. I need to find a drug that will work with my topomax.(Topomax 100mg for migraines. )does anyone have any suggestions? ## Hello, Modelo! How are you? I'ms sorry about the problem that you're having. What type of doctor have you been seeing? Hi, I am 46 years old and am having irregular periods. I had a light period for two weeks and a migraine for the same amount of time. I usually have migraines with my periods. I went to my doctor and she prescribed Primolut N tablets to be taken 3 times a day until my period stopped. I took them for 3 days and my period and migraine went away. Two days later I got a migraine and my period restarted the next day. Is this normal? I don't know what to do. ## Hello, Gayle! How are you? I'm sorry about the problems you're experiencing. I was prescribed Topamax about a month ago for migraine prevention. However, I have developed side effects of numbness and tingling in my hands and feet, concentration problems, problems with motor skills, and not much improvement in my migraines. I am going to ask my doctor to stop taking the the Topamax even though he advised that it would take a couple months to completely see the benefits of it. I just can't deal with the side effects and don't expect them to improve unless he says otherwise. I had high hopes for this drug and I'm really disappointed. ## I too was recently put on Topamax for bad headaches. Within the first week noticed sharper pains in my temples, strange pressure behind my eyes, became much more agitated with people and situations-really short fused. (w...

Migraine headaches seem to be a trait in my family. My grandmother, mother, myself, and even my daughter...have all suffered from them, starting in early teen years. We have tried other meds but none completely stops the debilitating pain as Darvocet did. No, it did not stop or prevent the migraines but the pains were completely gone until the next dose was due...which allowed us to continue with life and work. With so many people the drug helped through the 50+ years on the market, why not bring it back with a heavy black box warnings? I feel bad for the handful of patients who died on it (though the Tylenol in it kills more a year) but for the many other people who used it without problems...why not bring it back? ## Unfortunately, the FDA deemed the Propoxyphene in Darvocet, and its ...

My hair is falling out, I think I will be bald soon. I am taking Inderal/Propranolol 10 mg, 4 times a day; Omeprazole/Prilosec, once a day; Amitriptyline 50mg once at night; Ibuprofen 800mg 3 times a day...for migraines and body pain. Would any of these meds cause my hair to fall out? Thanks for any help! ## Hi, Pixie! Sorry about the hair loss. It is most likely the Inderal that is causing your hair loss, it is very common with the beta blocker medications. Learn more Inderal details here. Have you consulted your doctor? Usually it will stop and start to reverse, once you stop the medication and switch to a different one. ## Hi I have been on propranolol for nearly 2yrs and my hair has fallen out at a alarming rate! I was on topiramate for the last 2 1/2 years for migraines. I am a therapist and was getting pretty fed up with the cognitive side effects, as well as hope to try and have a baby in the next year so I stopped taking it. Cognitive side effects went away immediately for me, however I have gained 10 lbs in the last 3 weeks. I read about this and was worried, but given the fact that I never really lost much weight on the drug, I didn't think it would effect me in that way. Just be warned, you may love the weight loss now, but it comes back on when you stop it even if you are eating right and exercising! ## Although weight loss is listed as a general side effect of Topiramate, for some reason I get the sense that this medication plays with your hormones as well; which would explain why t...

Has anyone else experirnced this and how long did it last? ## I hope you are doing well and you have recovered from your double vision problem. My wife is experiencing the same problem as you were experiencing and we are extremely worried about the situation. She was on Topamax for three weeks (50mg) and she started experiencing double vision. She stopped taking topamax right away but she still has the double vision problem two weeks after she stopped.
