R-Tanna mfg. Prasco LA ## As a person with celiac, it is imperitive for me to know definitively if a drug (generic as well as branded, OTC as well as prescription) contains gluten or not. Some manufacturers are good about clearly disclosing this. Others are not, and trying to find out requires an incredible amount of time and effort. Why can't the FDA simply require manufacturers to make this disclosure clear, either on their labels or on their websites. If some can do it, why can't all?

is hydroco/apap5 gluten free? ## I was wondering if HYDOROCO/APAP5-500mg has gluten in it. I follow the celiac diet and after taking this barfed all day :) thx ## Without knowing the manufacturer of the tablets in question, I cannot tell you what the inactive ingredients are in it. Can you please post back with that information or the imprint from the tablets, so I can look it up? APAP is just medical speak for Acetaminophen, but Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain medication and it can cause nausea and vomiting as side effects, so it is hard to say why you might have gotten sick. You can read more about the medication here: ## the generic is not gluten free. brandname vicoden is GF

Is clindamycin 300 mg by Ranbaxy gluten free? Just picked this prescription up but pharmacist was unable to identify the " inactive" ingredients! Please help - thank you ## Hello, Sue! How are you? What are the markings on it? Sometimes the manufacturer listed on the label is actually just a licensed distributor, so only the markings will enable me to find the correct ingredient list for you. Can you please post back with these additional details? Thanks!

Is Ranbaxy Rx atenolol gluten free ## is the medication atenolol gluten free ## It is not listed on any of the gluten free websites as being safe and gluten free, so while I am not sure about what all ingredients would be considered to be derived from gluten, or have gluten in them, I would have to suggest that it might be safest for you to stick with one from a manufacturer that is known to be gluten free. There is an Atenolol on the market made by Novapharm that is listed as being completely gluten free, so you should check to see if your pharmacy can get that one in for you. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Is atenolol gluten free? My pharmacy cannot get Novapharm Atenolol!

If you do, I may be able to contact them directly on your behalf, regarding this question. Alternatively, If you know the what the imprint is on the pill itself, I could also look it up under the prescription drug databases and possibly locate the manufacturer that way. Need to know if lisinopril 10 mg by lupin mfg. is gluten free. I get cramps and stomach pains when first taking it. ## Hello, Nana! How are you? Lupin does list 2 types of corn starch among the inactive ingredients and, depending on the source, there's a chance that it could be contaminated with gluten, if it was processed in a factory that also does wheat products. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is tramodol gluten free. I suffer from bulging disc and recently diagnosed with celiac I just don't know what I can take when need relief ## To my knowledge, most medications don't contain gluten; but to know for sure you would most-likely have to contact the manufacturer of this specific pill or do some self-research for a list of the inactive ingredients in each tablet. If the manufacturer isn't listed on your Tramadol prescription, then I can just as easily look up the imprints and markings on your pill to try and determine what these inactive ingredients may be or who the manufacturer is. So if you could post back with any additional details, that would be great. I hope this helps! ## It's tramodol hcl 50 mg tab mylan on the tablet it says M on one side and T7 on the...

Please help me, I am gluten intolerant and do not know what binder is used in this Rx medication. ## Hi Joe, Since each company puts different fillers or inactive ingredients into their tablets, the answer to this question is largely dependent on who the manufacturer of the pill is. Would you happen to know this information based on your prescription bottle? One source I found suggests that it is Par Pharmaceutical Inc.; however it is likely that there are more than just one manufacturer and distributer of the medication. I would encourage you to post back with a pill imprint and/or the name of the manufacturer so I can look up their contact information and get back to you with more details.

I was prescribed Ranitidine 150 mg manufactured by Amneal. Is it gluten free? I've been having stomach pain since I started it. ## I have to break Amneal 300 mg tabs in half and my throat gets sore. Is Allopurinol mfg by qualitest gluten free? ## Hi edb, From what I could gather, Allopurinol from Qualitest contains the following inactive ingredients: colloidal silicon dioxide, lactose monohydrate, magnesium stearate, microcrystalline cellulose and sodium starch glycolate. Unfortunately, "sodium starch glycolate" is heavily regarded as a questionable substance for those with a gluten intolerance; since it is derived from starch. Do the 224 30 mg oxycodone pills contain any form of gluten? ## Hello, Kris! How are you? This tablet does contain some corn starch, which may contain a slight trace of gluten, due to being processed in a facility that also processes wheat products. They aren't required to list specifically where their corn starch comes from, as long as it's an FDA approved source, so there is a slight chance. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
