I take amryl 2mg before breakfast and glycomet SR 500 after breakfast and before dinner also. Is it right way of taking? ## Amaryl contains the active ingredient Glimepiride and Glycomet contains the active ingredient Metformin, both are oral antidiabetic medications used to help control blood sugar. And yes, they are usually taken at mealtime, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise, since that is when most blood sugar spikes occur. Is using them this way keeping your sugar under control? ## I am 68 male. So far I was taking Glimet DS 500 after meal. My fasting sugar was 114. PP was 145. My friend suggested Glycomet 500 instead of Glimet DS 500. After 10 days my fasting sugar has gone up to 150 and PP is 197. Why this and how to solve?

I am now taking GLIZID 80 mg two tabs twice a day and Glycoment 850mg one tab twice a day plus Acarbose 50 mg twice a day. Now doctor advises me to take Glycomet 1gm in place of Glycomet 850gm . I find that Gycomet 1mg is in the XR form. How much metformin does Glycomet 1gm contain? What is the benefit of switching over to Gycomet 1gm (Extended Release)? My Father changed his medicine from glimepiride 2mg and metformine 500 mg to Gilmepiride 2mg pioglitazone 7.5 mg and metformin HCL (SR) 1000 mg, his blood sugar level 1s 130 fasting among the above two drugs which one is better for him

The tablet does not dissolve and comes out in stool. Kept a tablet in water for 24 hrs but there was no change. In spite of 1000 mg dose along with 1mg Glimepiride there is no sugar control.

i am taking glycomet 850 mg SR 2 times daily and i am getting a pain below the chest left side. is there any relation between the tablet and pain. pl suggest any alternative. ## Is it safe to take glize 80 along with glycomet gp3
