Generic Percocet Manufacturers

I have ulcer disease and can't take any nsaids, especially aspirin. I've been taking generic Percocet 5/325 for about a year now for broken ribs and other things. I just got a refill and they changed the manufacturer to Camber T192 white round tablet.. when I opened the bottle the first thing I noticed was the smell of aspirin and the chalk all around the bottle. In the past they have always filled it with Actavis white round coated pill #A349. These had no smell at all. I called the pharmacy to ask about this as their printout also said the Camber pill is blue and it is white. The girl assured me I had the correct pill, it was obviously generic and the manufacturer had been changed. She said it was not aspirin. I do know what it smells like. I am just concerned because if I tak...

10/325 generic percocet which is the best manufacturer for chronic pain ## Hi Em, Unfortunately because every brand/generic effects each person differently, the only honest way to go about finding out what works best, is to try out different manufacturers for yourself. That way you can also formulate your own valid opinion. What I can tell you though from reading a lot of posts on this site, is that Actavis (Formerly known as Watson) has been receiving a massive amount of complaints lately regarding the quality and efficacy of their generic Percocet tablets. So that's probably one company you'd want to steer clear from based on their recent track record. I hope this helps! ## I am a 53 year old grandmother, full-time student earning my bachelors in psychology counseling, then on...

Man I had four different genetic brands. Now taking alvogen 10 325. Percocet 10. man no wonder there so many people killing themselves. everyones genetic med r different. S*** what happen to DuPont they too big to keep customers happy? I had enough. I'm going to ask my doctor to give me morphine. Or back on methadone. Even though they are hard to get off of. That makes five different types of Percocet 10 I had. Watson is the only way. I just do not understand. I guess I have to look overseas. Usa meds suck ## @James, You know big pharma is really making things difficult for pain patients, especially when pharmacies keep switching between different manufacturers to try and save a few bucks out of the hundreds of millions they make in profit every year. If you're able to it sounds...

Yes there is a big difference in the manufacturers of these pills. The white, round, WATSON 925s seem to work best as far as pain relief and "highness". The ovals are ok but not as good as watson...The peach or yellow pills are also less effective than the watsons. ## I just came across an article from this website,"Generics and Biosimilars" titled, "Actavis makes agreement for generic abuse-deterrent oxycodone", Posted 03/05/2013, that explains exactly why everyone is getting sick and feeling no pain relief. Please please please... complain to the FDA, to the company Actavis, which u can get on the internet and call Walgreens @800-walgreens...but tell walgreens not to send the info to ur local pharmacy.. cause they will...tell them u want ur complaint to go to t...

Knowing that generic pharmaceutical manufacturers can vary principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20%), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be beneficial for others in situations like or similar to mine. As a result of a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a ventral incision below navel and two dorsal incisions on either side of lumbar spine in order to install the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Six days after hospital release (12 days post-op) had to return to hospital ER due to incision inflammation and increased pain. Morphine was substituted for Percocet. Knowing their are a good...

That's what my pharmacist told me today. Is that true? I tried googling around to see what drug's wholesale prices are for pharmacies but had no luck. Another question is, why is Endocet a brand when in actuality it's a generic for Percocet? I don't get it. Also, I'm beginning to suspect Endocet isn't so great as we may have thought... ## It is not a generic, Endocet is a name brand for a specific dosage of a medication containing Oxycodone and Acetaminophen. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. If you research Vicodin, you will discover that under different dosages, and from different manufacturers, the combination of Acetaminophen, and Hydrocod...

Hello, First, let me start by saying that I am somewhat opiate naive. I am not in pain management and hopefully won't need to be. I've had scripts here and there for norco and percocet. It is the generic percocet, or more specifically the oxycodone, i'd like to discuss here. Over the past year i've had issues (such as a broken elbow, recurring kidney stones, and a staghorn lodged in my renal pelvis [kidney]), that have lead to several prescriptions for percocet from a total of 4 different manufacturers. Mallinckrodt 10/325, Amneal 7/325, Rhodes Pharmacy 10/325, and AuroBindo 10/325. I've read a lot of reviews about the aforementioned generic manufacturers. The majority of them have been negative especially for Rhodes. Mallinckrodt and AuroBindo are the only two that ...

WOULD SOMEBODY PLEASE GIVE ME THE BRAND MANUFACTURERS OF PERCOCET 10, BOTH THE 325, AND 650 TYLENOL TYPE? IF WHAT I JUST ENDURED THE LAST MONTH WAS BRAND 10/325 GENERIC PERCOCET BY ENDO, VARIANCE FROM MY WATSON GENERIC, THEN I'M REALLY GOING TO HAVE TO FIND SOMETHING DIFFERENT. I DONOT LIKE HYDROCODONE, I'M VERY SENSITIVE TO ALL VARIANCES IN ALL MEDS. HYDROCODONE WHICH IS ONLY DIFFERENT BY A SMALL SYNTHETIC DIFFERENCE, MAY BE OK IF YOU WANT QUICK RELIEF AND A QUICK ADDICTION TO A PAIN MED. I KNOW EVERYONE IS DIFFERENT, I'M PROBABLY MORE SENSITIVE TO MEDS THAN MOST! PLEASE JUST FILL ME IN ON WHO MAKES GENERIC PERCOCET NOW, NOT WHO REPACKAGES IT, WHAT COMPANY ACTUALLY MAKES IT? THANK YOU VERY MUCH! I HURT SO BAD I AM EXHAUSTED AND DON'T HAVE ENERGY TO DO RESEARCH LIKE I US...

I have psoriatic arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and diabetic neuropathy. I've always been prescribed Percocet 10/325 for my pain. This morning my pharmacy told me that the price has increased by $2.00 by my insurance company (UHC) has not yet adjusted their coverage price. Therefor my prescription for 120 Percocets (or generic) will be $240. I find this to be unbelievably irresponsible of you and your associate manufacturers. I'm on SS and do not have Medicare -- how am I supposed to afford 1 prescription that costs me $240? I'm just one of the millions of peoples that are prescribed this drug, especially Seniors. What are you thinking? What can I do? What will you do for me? ## This site has nothing to do with the pricing of medication. You ne...

Given that federal law permits generic pharmaceutical manufacturers to diminish principle ingredient(s) by as much as -20% (i.e. minus 20% as compared to the principle amount in the original or "brand" version), I am attempting to find a generic producer of Percocet that has proven to be more effective for others in situations like or similar to mine. Due to a hard fall, I sustained an injury called spondylolethesis (i.e. shifting vertebrae) from L4, L5, & S1. Corrective surgery was required involving a vertical abdominal incision below the navel and two low-back incisions on either side of lumbar spine to allow installation of the appropriate orthopedic spine hardware (e.g. screws, rods, posts, etc.). Since the post-op pain has only increased from surgery 2 wks. ago, and th...

Why does the pill marked 106 white tablet supposed to be 325/10 Percocet but they weigh twice the amount of the other generic brand 325/10 mg. ## The FDA provides a list of inactive ingredients that they consider to be safe, and they allow manufacturers to pick from among them, as long as they don't stray from that list. Thus, the size and weight can vary, from one manufacturer to another, depending on which ones they've chosen to use. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Sincere thanks for your service to our country. Is there anything else I can help with?

Anyone know if they have a Percocet in 15mg? It's a tablet, shaped like football, (but it is not a xanax), light blue in color. Friend says it's 15mg, is this new? Or possibly an extended release? Comments please. Thx. ## If you can provide the imprint from the tablet, I will gladly look it up for you to check what it is, however, I cannot tell you anything from just the shape and color of the pill. ## thx for response, ? is can you confirm there even is a 15mg percocet? and if possible, if so, is it in a table form? Thx. ## 10mg is the highest dose available in the percacet or generic equilements.I hope this helps you , God bless ## the 15s i have seen are like the blue ones mentioned by different manufacturers make them in a little round, pale yellow tablet with a score mark a...

what's the difference between the letters " IP" on a percocet pill and the letter "M" on a percocet pill ## In the U.S. every manufacturer of a medication is required to use a unique imprint code on every dosage of a medication, to enable its identification, in case of an emergency. These codes must be logged with the FDA and by looking up the code, one must be able to discover who the manufacturer is, the active ingredient(s) and the amount of them. When a medication, such as Percocet, is available as a generic, it can be made by multiple manufacturers, thus, there will be multiple imprint codes. Not all companies use a logo, but in the cases you mentioned, the IP stands for IntraPharm Laboratories and the M stands for Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals. So, it is just de...

I was taking an oblong white Percocet 10/325, my pharmacy has changed to a round white 10/325 pill which is to me much stronger. Can there be such a difference in the same prescription but different manufacturers? With the round pill I feel tired and checked out. The other pill I didn't seem to have any effect unless I took my klonopin at the same time. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 the FDA allows the generics to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as plus, or minus 20%. Thus, it is possible that one may be stronger than another, since generic manufacturers don't have to measure against each other, only against the name brand. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects,...

what's the difference in the different shapes and colors and printed numbers on Percocets? ## Hi Sharon, A round yellow pill marked with "C 230" is reported to be a generic version of Percocet containing 10mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mgs of Acetaminophen, used for moderate to severe pain. And this particular pill is manufactured by a company called Alvogen. However I think it goes without sayin' that all of the different shapes, colors, and imprints you see on any given pill are simply indicators for identifying various manufacturers, dosages, and of course the substance(s) - including inactive ingredients. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Am trying to find out why two separate 230 C percocets while having the (230) - (230) side by side and perfectly st...

My pharmacy keeps trying to change my generic 10/325 percocet, I always check ahead of time to not get the crappy generics. So I have just been told the ones they have now are oblong, flat, yellow with markings E712 on one side & 10/325 on the other side. & was told they are made by Endo. Do you have any feedback on how good this particular generic is? I have chronic intractable pain so I rely on it for breakthru pain, I am also on 100 pgu Par brand fentanyl patch. ## @glokim, This is just my feedback from reading personal reviews here on MedsChat, but it appears that Endo is widely thought to be one of the better manufacturers of generic Percocet; at least to the extent of many patients here preferring it over other options. On the contrary, each medication can affect each indi...

What is the color? ## OXYCODONE 60 MG IS RED. OXY 80 MG IS GREEN. PERCOCET 15 = YELLOW, AND XANAX 1.0 IS PURPLE FOOTBALL SHAPED. THESE ARE JUST THE GENERICS MY PHARMACY DISPENSES, AND THEY CAN BE DIFFERENT COLORS FROM OTHER MANUFACTURERS. ## I stopped 8mgs of subutex or bupenorphine, 3 days ago. I took it for 6 months. My sub doc gave me two 20mg of oxycontin per day to help with the withdrawal. I have not felt any withdrawal. I need to get the subutex out of my body because it has made me very sick. I know it has a shelf life. Does anyone know how long it will take to get out of me? ## Does oxycontn 80 mg come in round white pill ## The OxyContin 80 is green not white

Next to my fill date of generic Percocet I usually have a MCRK code but this new supplier has MADV. Is there a meaning for this? I just feel it's not as strong as what I've been getting ## This new medication 5/325 Oxycodone / APAP has RP stamped on one side of medication ## Hello, Tom! How are you? The MCRK and MADV are abbreviations for the generic manufacturers. For instance, MCRK stands for Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. In case of emergency, the pharmacies do this to keep track of the manufacturer and/or distributor and the RP is a manufacturers logo. The FDA classifies this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else...

Is this meds stronger then perks ?the generic kind? ## Hi yvette, The pill you're describing marked "223" reportedly contains 5mgs of Oxycodone hydrochloride. But by comparison, Percocet is known to come in dosages containing up to 10mg of Oxycodone hydrochloride + 325mg of Acetaminophen. And even though some manufacturers tend to vary by strength, I would say that it all depends on what dosage of Percocet you get, since it is available in 2.5mg/325mg dosages as well. Hope this helps! ## Thank you so much for getting back to me .very helpful.

I just went through surgery. Prior to surgery I was given a generic of Percocet - IP203 , after I received plain pill, no letters but 512 on one side, what is the difference, if any please as I am concerned. Thank You ## Both "IP 203" and "512" contain the same two active ingredients Acetaminophen 325mg + Oxycodone hydrochloride 5mg. The primary noticable differences between these two pills are the different manufacturers they are made by, as well as each pill containing different inactive ingredients or fillers. Inactive ingredients or fillers can effect how efficiently the drug is absorbed into your system and therefore determine how effective it might be over another similar pill with different inactive ingredients. Inactive Ingredients in IP 203: silicon dioxide cros...
