i do not get relief from this pain medicine, what is the deal ## Hi baby, Unfortunately when it comes to choosing an appropriate pain medication, there's a lot of room for trial and error. If your body is accustomed to another manufacturer's versions of this, then its ineffectiveness may be attributed to the different binders/fillers that are being used in this particular tablet versus others. That's my theory anyways, given that nothing else is changed on the label when you switch between different manufacturer's brands/generics. The only thing I'd encourage patients to do in light of this, is to kindly ask the doctor to be more descriptive on the prescription he/she writes, in order to pick out a specific manufacturer that you feel works best from past personal exp...

I AM VERY ALLERGIC TO NORCO AND THE BOTTLE READS MFG WATSON AND THE PILL IS WHITE OVAL WITH SCORE ACROSS CENTER ON ONE SIDE AND WATSON 3203 ON THE OTHER. IS THIS THE TRUE LORTAB? I HAVE NEVER HAD ANY TROUBLE WITH PLAIN OLD LORTAB SO HOPE THIS IS NOT A GENERIC. THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP. ## WATSON 3203 contains Hydrocodone 7.5 mg/Acetaminophen 325 mg. Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen are both in Lortab. Lortab is the Brand Name. ## Yes, the ones with the WATSON 3203 marking on them are a generic, just as BL has stated. The name brand Lortab uses the ucb logo on them, with numbers on the opposite sides. Learn more Lortab details here. But these are the same ingredients that are in Norco, so if you're allergic to one, you should also be allergic to Lortab, Vicodin and the generics. What typ...

I am recovering from back surgery and have the generic Norco 10-325. They have not been effective in the dosage of 1 every 6 hours. My problem is at night when the dull ache keeps me from sleeping. What is the effect of taking2 at night before I go to sleep ## Hello, Batman! How are you? You shouldn't raise your dosage, without your medical provider's approval. If you aren't opiate tolerant, that may be too high of a dosage for you. Have you informed them of the problem, yet? The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.

Don't ever get that ActaVas brand Norco 10 325 white tabs they do not work I had half yellow half white last prescription big difference with the yellow ones no doubt I did my own experiment The yellow has a V on them I'm not sure what brand they are but they work much better then the Actavis ## Hi- yeah I've been taking the generic ones ( Hydrocodone), and they seem to wear off within 3 hrs. I've been searching on Google for answers and was wondering if you or anyone else knows if they contain sulfites. I get allergic reactions to sulfites and I know these could have them in the inactive ingredients. Thx. ## @Dash, The yellow one's with a V 36 01 are made by Qualitest (formerly Vintage Pharmaceuticals). From what I've heard, these yellow ones are thought to be o...

This tablet contains 325mgs of Acetaminophen and 10mgs of Hydrocodone, it is a generic for Norco. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Your wrong the red specs r the 5/325 mg norcos ## V 3601 is a yellow 10/325 Norco ## Yes I have the red spec ones in a pill bottle, they are Norco 5/325. :)

I'm recovering from my third back surgery. I can take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 10-325 mg tab with no stomach problems. However, when I take hydrocodone/acetaminophen 7.5-325mg tab Mallinc generic, I have severe stomach pains. The pharmacist says there is no difference except the 10 vs the 7.5. It is NOT in my mind, it's in my stomach & it really hurts. Can you clear this up for me? I will be very grateful for your attention. Thank you. ## Who manufactures the 10/325 tablet that you've taken? There can be differences in the inactive ingredients from one manufacturer to another and that can cause problems for some people that are sensitive. So, say for example that the 10/325 was manufactured by Watson Pharmaceuticals, the inactive ingredients could be completely differen...

Does Lortab make a 10/325? My Doc changed my lortab 10/500 to norco10/325. Norco is a different medicine, making me really tired. everyone keeps saying its the same as Lortab. I STRONGLY disagree. help ## Hi, I'm on pain management & have taken Lortab then Norco for years. Norco is the same as Lortab with 325 mg of acetaminophen instead of 500 mg. My doctor changed mine as well due to the affects on the liver. I understand the hesitation. When he changed mine I wasn't thrilled either, but I'm a creature of habit & dislike change in routines. I'm uncomfortable when my generics are from another company & look different than I normally take. I promise, it's the same 10 mg of hydrocodone. Both Lortab & Norco contain the same active ingredients: acetaminop...

Hi, can you help me please? These particular tablets are white with dots that appear light pink, where is this color derived from - what elements/source/dyes? ## What are the markings on them? That is what would enable me to look up these specific tablets for you to see what's used in them. The actual ones manufactured by Watson do not have the specks in them, but they have purchased a few other generic manufacturers recently. Thus, I need the markings in order to find these exact tablets. Thanks! ## Hi, thanks for your reply. They are tablets oval in shape with light pink specks throughout. One side states, WATSON, the other 3202. If you need any other specs, please email me and I sure hope you can find the info. I seek! Thanks for your help - much appreciated! ## Watson 3202, oval...

is there a pain medication with ibuprofen that is stronger than the acetaminophen? ## Hello, Deloris! How are you? Yes, there is one called Vicoprofen that's available as the name brand and generic that contains Ibuprofen, rather than Acetaminophen. It isn't necessarily stronger, but it does work better for some people. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with?

I've just had my very first surgery at age 22 on my right ear (Tymnoplasty). I was actually fine with mild pain leaving the hospital and was given this prescription at Walgreens to take every four hours before any pain started when leaving the hospital. I've never had a problem with generic medication, but this is possibly the worse pain I've experienced! I called my doctor to let him know and he explained to take another even though I had just taken this one at 7. It is now 9, I am on my second pill and still feel no relief. I then had to call my doctor again in which he said it could be the brand of the medicine. He actually prescribed me Norco but Walgreens gave me this because of my insurance. I know I should experience little to no pain, but pain that makes you cry shou...

I'm presently taking Hydroco/APAP 7.5/325 which are white with 1P115 stamped on it. I was previously taking hydrocodone which were peach colored. With the white ones they are not as strong. I have to take two to get relief from chronic pain. With the peach colored ones I could take one and worked fine. Why would they be different if suppose to be same thing? Confused? ## Mine is different....I am also trying to figure out why the peach 750/325 are not working as well as the White!!! Could the peach ones be old? ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984 generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients, this was done to help bring generics to market fast and help create market competition to try to keep prices lower...

does not work.what did they do? my 12/01/15 worked fairly well. my 1-12-17 is useless and side effects are worse. why can't they make them like watson did. mfg actavis is a joke. i started norco 20 years ago. now i've ended up with this no good mess. ## Henry, Sadly that's the general consensus. Have you considered checking other pharmacies since each are free to use a wide variety of generic mfg. companies? Perhaps you may find one better suited to your needs.

2172 pills from Walgreens are not any where near Watson 3202. Don't relieve pain and will give you a headache. I tried to tell the pharmacist but they said that is what they shipped. This is what I have to deal with, *****s. ## There's actually been several complaints here recently on these newer 2172 pills. Since they're generic, my guess is that the percentage of active ingredients are probably less than other manufacturer's versions. Not to mention the different binders/fillers that affect bioavailability or cause unwelcome side effects. It's a shame that pharmacies always go for the cheapest offer they can get and care nothing about quality control for their loyal customers/patients who have to rely on this medication. The entire healthcare sector and our economy...

I am reading a lot of complaints about this drug. I was taking Watson 3202 5-325 for pain and it worked for my pain. Now Actavis makes 2172 in place of Watson 3202. I don't see any difference. ## Some people may be more sensitive to different inactive ingredients than others. Their bodies may also process/metabolize these ingredients at a different rate, affecting absorption. However, the amount of active ingredients in generic drugs is rumored to fluctuate by up to 20% more or less. I don't know if this varies from batch to batch, but I'm glad to hear that someone else is having a good experience with the 2172 pill, as it goes to show that everyone really does react differently, despite the nay sayers calling it a placebo by comparison to Watson's older products. Please...

my husband had his leg amputated and i have mixed up some meds. i think a white oval tab with 105 is one of his hydrocodone meds but am unsure. there are no other markings and he takes so many tabs daily i used a weekly pill container and i am now totally confused. am a bit doutfull but would appreciate any info. ## The tablet with the 105 marking on it is actually a generic for Percocet, it contains 7.5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is a narcotic pain reliever. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Learn more: Are there any other questions or comments?

The Watson 853 hydrocodone 10-325 I got at Walgreens didn't kill my pain and made me sick! I need to know what is better quality. Is Mallinckordt m367 better than the manufacturer Par/ Endo? I don't live in an area that carries the yellow anymore, and I need pain relief that lasts all month and doesn't make me sick. Please if anyone knows o appreciate an answer. ## Watson does list this tablet as containing 10mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, but they removed the dye from them, so they are white now, and no longer yellow. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. Overall, there is no specific best tablet, it really depends on what wor...

which is more potent hydrocodone-acetaminophen (5-325) or Acetaminophen/cod 3 (300/30mg)? ## Milligram for milligram, hydrocodone is reported to be significantly more potent than codeine. So even with the difference in milligrams I'm going to have to assume that the generic norco you have may be more potent from what I've read online. While everyone's experience may be different, I have also seen comments from patients who've tried both and feel that "10mgs" of hydrocodone far exceeds the potency of "60mgs" of codeine. Though that may not be as accurate for someone else with a different tolerance, it does go to show that hydrocodone is superior and probably shouldn't ever be substituted for codeine in that sense. Is your doctor recommending that you t...

I am used to taking the Yellow, generic 10/325 hydrocodone for a long time for chronic back pain from a car accident. They worked fine. Then I moved to LaSalle County in Illinois and they gave me white ones, three times. I know Watson was bought out by Activas. The worst white ones were from Walgreens! Does anyone know the manufacturer of the generic yellow hydrocodone / acetaminophen 10/325? And there is a BIG difference in pain relief regarding generic pain relievers! ## Unfortunately, the colors don't mean anything, so that is not enough for information for anyone to research this for you. Can you please post back with the markings on the tablets in question? That would enable someone to look into this for you. Thank you! As to possible differences, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of ...
