I've been breaking out lately and have had many big nasty red pimples, so I was wondering if I used this would it clear it up??? ## Hello, Girly! How are you? You shouldn't use a prescription product, if it wasn't prescribed for you and, since this one is not formulated to treat acne, it could actually contain something that might make it worse. Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications? Has anything changed in your diet or skin care routine recently? ## Can I use Gelmicin to get rid of stretch marks? ## Can Gelmicin be used to help fade deep acne scars? ## Yes, it’s better to use unscented lotions.

My 4 year old daughter has ringworm on her head, and i wanted to know if its safe to use on her scalp? I have the medicine gelmicin just got it from mexico, i just want ti know if its safe. ## Hello, Mell! How is your daughter doing? At her age, it is always best to consult her pediatrician, rather than trying to self-treat. Many medications can be more potent in children, to the point where they could actually be dangerous. Her doctor can provide a diagnosis and prescribe the appropriate thing to treat it safely. Has she had ringworm, before? There is a steroid in Gelmicin, as well as an antibiotic and antifungal, so it could cause her some serious side effects, such as those listed by the FDA like weight gain, acne and skin rash.

Before I had left to Mexico I was using Gelmicin for a month because I started to get a lot of Whitehead’s and textured skin mainly on my forehead and it helped my skin clear up fast! But when I left to Mexico while being over there my skin slowly went back to how it was and ever since I came back I’ve gotten more bumps on my face, so I switched up my routine and stopped Gelmicin. But i don’t know if I should try using it again? What should I do? ## Hi Yamilet, Gelmicin is indicated to be a topical antibiotic, anti-inflammatory and antifungal combination product. I have been using gelmicin for a couple years now for my acne. It helps get rid of pimples more quickly. However, I do not recommend using it. I started getting addicted to it and used it for all my pimples. It caused excessive hair growth on my face. I recommend using only in moderation. It also causes redness to skin.

I've used betametasona clotrimazol gentamicina ( Gelmicin Brand) For years specifically for itching in my crevices due to being overweight. Now a few years later I've have very thin skin in those crevices and I didn't realize that this cream had steroids! Should I assume this is what caused the thinning of my skin? Totally transparent in those areas specifically underneath my breasts. ## It is possible, though there's no way to say with certainty, but Betamethasone has been known to cause skin issues as side effects, including acne, and there are known to worsen with long-term use. Other side effects can include redness, and flaking. Are you on any other medications? Do you use any other creams, or ointments regularly?
