I found a pill behind the seat of one of my employee's work trucks. It's a yellowish capsule with a big G on it and the numbers 5027. yellow capsule g 5027 ## I located the yellow capsule in description to be Gabapentin (300 mg). NOTE: The correct marking is G 5027 Gabapentin was originally developed for the treatment of epilepsy, and is currently widely used to relieve neuropathic pain. What is the expiration date of these pills? ## From what I could gather, the shelf-life of Gabapentin (Neurontin) is about 2-3 years according to the link below: medicines.org.uk/emc/medicine/17095#SHELF_LIFE I've also read studies saying that the expiration date of most pills is actually 10-15 years, but I would think that potency may be lost in that time frame. I have this pill with the number 027 on one side and the letter M on the other side. What kind of pill is this? ## What makes you think that this pill is Xanax? Where did it come from? ## @keke, I did noticed that there's a white round pill marked with 027 R, which is reportedly identified as generic Alprazolam 0.25mg - A product of Actavis. Perhaps you meant to type "R" instead of "M"? If that's not the case, I'd probably suspect that this is a counterfeit depending on where/who it was obtained from... For verification, the 027 is on one side of the pill (sitting above a horizontal score line), and a fancy "R" is on the back. Hope this helps! ## Everything on the Internet points to Alprazolam.
