So I am at my wits end here. Last year I was diagnosed hypothyroid after my TSH was at 3.4 and was instantly put on 50 mcg of levothyroxine. Ever since around that time, I had crazy bouts of vertigo and dizziness, hot flashes, heart palpitations, high blood pressure (never had that before), terrible migraines calves are cramping and I have had pretty much ever test done known to man. MRI with contrast was normal, Echo was normal, Holter monitor was normal, ENT VNG test was normal, chest xray normal, various of blood tests done (most showing how unstable my TSH numbers are)now I am having a tilt table test done because they think its due to Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia!!! I have been practically bed ridden for the past 3 months. Lost my job due to the fact all these symptoms are so b...

Hello there, I'm currently 19 years old and I have been struggling with anxiety and depression my whole life. I only recently got put on Nuzak 20 mg. I'm afraid that hair loss and weight gain could occur, how could I avoid this. I've also been feeling worse in every way and my period is delayed and I haven't been promiscuous. I was wondering if that's normal. I have been feeling irritated and at Edge . Can Nuzak really help and how long does it take. I'm really worried that Nuzak could be more harmful then helpful. I don't feel happy or motivated at all. All I want to do is cry. But everything seems stuck and numb. Please help. Sorry for any inconvenience. ## No inconvenience, at all. :-) This medication does not usually cause weight gain, it is more commonly...

Hi all! I went to the Obgyn today and she sent my blood work off for routine testing which includes my liver levels. I am prescribed this medication, Norco 7.5/325 for degenerative disc disease. I do drink alcohol about 2-3x/week average of 8-10 units/week but always the day before or the day after taking norco. I have never drank alcohol and taken norco on the same day and I always wait close to 24 hours between last drink & dose or vice versa. I freak out about my liver a lot but my neck is in so much pain I try to forget about it. Now the gynecologist sent off these tests and I'm going to have to face the music, although I'm really not ready to. I have been taking Norco regularly (i.e. on the days that I don't drink) since 9/2013 so about 10 months. I usually take 2/d...

I have been stressed lately but I got my period on April 23rd, and then recently for the past week have had brown discharge. Grant it, I have been stressed, and I wasn't taking my birth control pill at the same time for about 2 weeks, but I'm a bit concerned about this. Should I see a doctor or will this pass?? Also I was curious if women have their period does it affect you when you're around them?? ## You skipped taking your BC for about 2 weeks? These are hormonal based and skipping for any amount of time could certainly cause the spotting the discharge that you are experiencing, which is actually called breakthrough bleeding. And does it affect who, when they are around menstruating women? No one will know you are having your menstrual cycle, if you maintain proper hygie...

No, according to the U.S. FDA, this medication may actually cause drowsiness and dizziness as side effects, thus it is not going to help you with energy or concentration. And the manufacturer website says "Cipla-Actin treats and prevents nausea and vomiting, including motion sickness" and contains Cyproheptadine HCi 4 mg. ## Hi am 25 yrs I have sinus problem and nose blockage due to deviation pace in the nose and I was advised to use cipla actin 10 mg..(am not allergic to any medicine) ma I know whether it will help me and plus if yes then will it have any side effects on driving cause am a regular driver going to work by my own car.. I have been taking Topamax for about 2 months now to treat bi-polar disorder and have been having some side effects. I was having some dizziness and pins and needles feelings in my feet but both of those seemed to have gone away. The thing that wont go away is the trouble breathing. It feels like I am having a panic attack but im not. It comes on at any time of day even when I am not stressed. It feels as if someone is sitting on my chest and I cant take a deep breath. I can't find anything saying that this is a normal side effect. Has anyone else had this? I really want to stay on this medicine because it is helping me but this hard to breathe feeling is really scaring me. Please help. ## Hello, Tana! How are you feeling? I am scheduled for abdominal laparoscopic surgery at 10 am tomorrow. I was stressed about not having everything done around my house and took 2 30mg Adderall XR that I had around the house but no longer am prescribed. I'm scared to tell the doc. But will this mess with my surgery or anesthesia? ## Hello, Ariana! How are you? Yes, please inform your doctor, it is better than risking your life. Some medications may affect the amount of anesthesia that you need, or it may necessitate a delay in surgery. The FDA lists this medication as being a stimulant that is most commonly used to treat ADHD and narcolepsy. It carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Is there anything else I can help with?

im very stressed and depressed cant sleep ## If you suffer from anxiety/depression and need a Benzodiazepine class medication (like Xanax), your best bet it usually to see a psychiatrist, rather than a regular medical doctor. They are better trained in the types of medications that handle these problems and many general physicians are reluctant to prescribe controlled substances due to abuse and the heavy regulations that they have to abide by from the government. Some advice I can give you is to not specifically ask for any certain medication when you see a new doctor. Make sure to transfer or take a copy of all your medical records with you. Then, the best approach is to discuss what has and hasn't worked for you in the past. Most doctors will take it under consideration, if they ...

I had been on losartan 100/25 for the past 6 years after being diagnosed with high blood pressure. Over time, I noticed when changing my diet, my blood pressure would go down... I recently started eating low carb and lost about 18 pounds - I had noticed the 100 mg was making me dopey, weak, sleepy and even causing anxiety and discomfort... My doc said I should cut it to half so now I take 50 mg in the morning and still take my 5mg amlodipine in the evening. She said I should self-medicate according to my symptoms and increase or decrease as I feel necessary. I feel significantly better and wake up with a healthy blood pressure. But I have a feeling that by the afternoon my blood pressure sometimes elevates again, especially when I'm active or stressed... I have found the doc a bit u...

I started taling xarelto 5/10/2014 after my 2nd DVT in my leg. The first DVT was in February 2013 and I was on xarelto until September of 2013. I had no major side effects. Today I woke up with a black eye. My eye was itchy the last few days and I am not sure if I rubbed it. The bruise runs from the corner of my eye, near where my eyeglasses rest and under the eye. No one hit me and I did not walk into anything. My vision is fine but my nerves are stressed. Does this sound serious? It's Sunday and so I can't talk to my Hemotologist. ## Hello, Mele! I've been in loestrin 24 for a year now, possibly a year and a half. My boyfriend and I are active and we use pull-out with the birth control. I'm on my last day of white pills today and yesterday I started getting a brown spotting, like the beginning of my period, and now when I woke up today it was dark red and kind of clumpy (sorry) like it was the beginning of my period. I've never had my period start before my placebo pills, usually on the third brown pill is when it starts. I haven't missed a pill completely, but I have taken several this month 3-4 hours late, if that makes any difference? I'm a little freaked out and have been really stressed for a while. I found a prescription from 3 months ago. I had the same drug filled 20 days ago but I am out. Can I use the old script if I pay out of pocket? A family member has dementia and the stress has been unbearable since I have so much to do all the time. ## Hello, Bill! How are you? No, it would be illegal to do so.
