I have a prescription for Hydrocodone 10/325 written by my Michigan Pain Clinic Physician and I am on a 7 day vacation in Florida. I have the paper prescription with me to be filled in Florida. Am I going to be able to get that filled. ## I don't know if this is still the case, but I found an older document from 2007 on Floridahealth.gov, stating that "a patient visiting Florida (who is a non-resident) under his/her out of state doctor's care for a chronic condition CAN have his/her out of state doctor either call in or otherwise legally transmit a prescription to be filled by a Florida licensed pharmacist for that condition." Referenced from: floridahealth.gov/licensing-and-regulation/declaratory/_documents/pharmacy/fo-07-1612.pdf If this still holds true, you shouldn...

I live in Somerset Ky. I have a pre written prescription of hydrocodone 90 10/325. I will be working in Franklin Indiana when my refill is due way into past refill date. I would like to know if Ind will fill that Ky script? Thank you ## Yes, technically you can, however, most pharmacies will not fill them, because it is difficult for them to validate it to ensure it is a legitimate prescription. You may want to try speaking to someone as your current pharmacy to see if they have an affiliate in that area, as they may be able to smooth the way for you to get it filled. The FDA warns that narcotics carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## i want to fill te...

I have a Kentucky Licenses and went to a pain clinic in GA, they prescribed me Oxycodone 15mg and Hydrocodone 10mg. I have been to several pharmacies in Kentucky and cannot get them filled. Does anyone know where I can get my prescriptions filled rather here in Kentucky or out of state in GA or TN?? Please Help at all if possible, thanks! ## Hi Tommy, If you can't get your prescriptions filled locally, have you considered opting for an online pharmacy that can ship you your meds? I personally haven't used this method for getting a prescription, but I know there are a handful of sites out there that are safe and legal to order from amongst the swarm of bad ones: Legitimate online pharmacies that carry the VIPPS seal are listed at: nabp.net/programs/accreditation/vipps/find-a-vipp...

I am in Houston & have terminal disease and been on hydrocodone 10-325 & fentanyl patch for years. Picked up prescriptions today and Walgreens filled fentanyl patch but says No one has hydrocodone? Said it was manufacture? They gave me no options, tried a private pharmacy and got no where. Is there anything anybody knows ## @Dsh, Sorry to hear about your situation. It seems as though many chronic pain patients are facing a similar dilemma at this point in time (given the recent state of opioid madness going on throughout the country). I do find it extremely unusual however that pharmacies don't have something as "light" as hydrocodone in stock at any given time. Shortage problems like this appear to be out of the doctor's control who wrote the prescription for yo...

My script for hydrocodone was written by my doc in washington. I am currently in California, and they will not refill. Does Nevada or Idaho honor out of state scripts for same? ## Hello, Jerry! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. Unfortunately, it's going to be very difficult to find a pharmacy that's willing to fill an out of state prescription. There are two reasons for this, the first being that it is much harder for them to validate the prescription to ensure that it's legitimate. The second reason is due to the fact that pharmacies are limited, by the DEA, in how much of any given controlled substance they can order in and stock each month. This means that most will only fill prescriptions for people that live locally. Many even require ...

I will be on vacation for 5 days and my prescription for loratab will b.due while there I.have the written prescription on hand from doctor in Tennessee, will I be able to.get.filled at.Walgreen ## Most pharmacies won't fill out of state prescriptions. The best thing to do is, if you're a current Walgreens customer, go in and check with them before you leave. They'll be able to let you know. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any suggestions?

Does anyone know where I can get my prescriptions filled rather here in Kentucky or out of state in GA or TN?? Please Help at all if possible, thanks! ## I understand your dilemma, but unfortunately don't know what to do about it. You are kind of running into similar problems in whatever state you try to get them filled, there is always a piece of information that the pharmacy has to be suspicious of, because they can't easily verify it. Why didn't you go to a local pain clinic? ## Is a pharmacy by law allowed to keep or tear up your script ## If you people would go to a Legit Dr, you wou...

I just got back from wallGreens in yonkers and they would not fill my prescription on hydrocodone 150qty 10 -660 .They told me there is a new law I can only get 120quanity per month of me hydrocone10-660.Is this really a new law? thanks ## It may be because of the Tylenol, depending on how you're suppose to take it. The FDA had recommended that max amount of Tylenol in 24 hrs be no more than 4,000 mgs. The only New Law governing Hydrocodone is in New York and it went into effect at the end of Feb 2013. It states that all hydrocodone combination products are now Schedule II. Which means no refills and it can't be called in. ## The law regarding the quantity actually isn't a new one, it was just not being enforced. However, in light of the ever increasing rates of theft, abuse...

apparently Robitussen with codiene not available anywhere with prescription. An adult knows that I have the Hydrocodone Acrtaminophen. Mine was prescribed for acute broncihitus in October. She has been unable to fill the prescription she has for the Robitussen. Is it safe for me to let her have my 3/4 bottle from October???? ## Hi Lucy, I checked to see if there are any reactions between the active ingredients in "Hydrocodone Apap" and "Robitussen + Codeine" and my findings state that there are some potentially unsafe interactions. Quoted below are the precautions you should be aware of: " Central nervous system- and/or respiratory-depressant effects may be additively or synergistically increased in patients taking multiple drugs that cause these effects, especially ...

I will be traveling from VA to CA Washinton state hoping to tour states we have not seen yet. I take hydrocodone and Valium for disc problems and muscle spasms. I always use Walmart pharmacy. Will I be able to get my prescriptions if I take one with me from my doctor? Which walmarts would be able to fill them ## As long as you have valid written prescriptions, there should not be any problem getting them filled, as long as they can verify it with your doctor. Thus, I would suggest stopping in a couple days before you actually need a refill, that will give them time to verify it with your doctor and etc. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and they may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. Can I get a prescription for norco 7.5 for a surgery I just had a day before I get my usual prescription of hydrocodone 10mg from my pm dr., and not get in trouble? ## Hello frank. I am in GA and I go to pain management for a severe back problem. I signed a narcotic agreement that states I cannot get a pain med prescription from another dr and fill out, without getting permission from the pain dr first. Hope this helps. ## Momof3 is correct, it depends on your doctor's policies and what you agreed to, when you started seeing them. Additionally, since this is a lower dosage than the one you usually take, it isn't likely to help much. The FDA warns that these medications carry the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mout...

I just filled a script for hydrocodon/acetaminophine 10-500, The pills say 3500 on it instead of 3600, but they still have a V. Did I get the right pills from the pharmacist? ## Your best bet is to just ask the pharmacist. ## What you have might be the 7.5 mg Hydrocodone dose. If you are reluctant to take it then what I would suggest is going back to the pharmacy with it and telling them that the imprint code is different from your previous prescription. That way they can determine if they actually gave you the right medication. Can you please post back and let us know what they determine it to be? This inscription V 3500 is not really coming up. ## Hi Janine - I got an email back from Qualitest support and they stated "All Qualitest tablets bear the V inscription. I don't see a...
