Eritel Ch 40

Have been getting swelling in my right leg, between knee and ankle ,my BP was 170/100 , was taking Envas 5 ,1tab daily. Doctor changed Envas 5 to Tazloc -H with multi vitamin-mineral tab .Took this combination for ten days -diuretic resulted in frequent urination and leg swelling did not decrease ,but BP dropped to 150/90. Now doctor has changed prescription to : 1.Eritel-CH40 (1tab daily), 2.Trental 400(1tab thrice daily) ,& 3.multivitamin with minerals. ## My father, age 85, was taking Hipril A for BP, he had heavy swelling on legs, before 25 days, Hipril A was stopped & Eritel CH 40 is started, withi few days swelling reduced but he is suffering very badly with leg pain, back pain , cannot stand for 5 minutes, cannot walk more than 12 steps.taken all reports, seems normal.......

my mother is of 70 years and had undergone knee surgery. She was diagnosed with high BP 130 / 90. Doctor has advised to take Eritel ch 40mg and from last 5 days her BP went low to 90/60. Please advise whethwr to stop both these drugs or not and also how her BP can come to normal. Please advise ## Hi, Bob! Hi, I am 42 years old and am running higher BP. I was using Amlong 5 mg and the tablets got exhausted. My friend who has the same problem is using Eritel 40. Can I use the tablet for the time being to control my BP? ## I am 61 years old. I am using Eritel -40 mg (Telmisartan) for the last 6 years, due my BP. Further no BP noticed, but I am still using the medicine. My doctor told me dont stop. My doubt is whether there is any chance of side effect due to this medication for a long time? I am taking Eritel- LN 40 for last 40 days for hypertension that I am suffering from for the last 17 years . I am under treatment and check up with a very good doctor DM (cardiology , Gold medalist from AIIMS) . This morning my heart beat came down to 62 and I felt giddiness. Is it due to this medicine ?

I was taking lisnopril 10 mg and my bp was in control. Then I consulted my family doc. He gave me eritel 40, which is not working. My Bp is not lowering. Pls advise. ## Hello, Joseph! How are you? Not every medication works for everyone that tries it. You may need to go back on Lisinopril, or try something else entirely. Why did he changed your medication, since the Lisinopril was working for you? The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and hypotension. Are you on any other medications?

I am running 42 of age and have been a patient of hypertension. I have been taking tab Concor 2.5 mg on morning daily basis for last 12 years. My BP was absolutely fine and even some time I used to forget to take on ween ends. In last month March, my BP fluctuated max 150/110 in last month March 2014 without any change in my routine except was not well (having fever / cold) at that time. My Doc has advised to change the tab to Eritel AM 40 mg and after a month now my BP is controlled. Please advise which tab is more harmful for my body and it was essential to change from concor 2.5 mg to Eritel AM 40 mg. ## I own experience is that Eritel is more helpful than Beta Blockers which have horrific side effects. My wife, age 60, has had diabetes for the last 6 years. She is taking the following medications after her angiography in 2008 along with diabetes medicine for the last 3 months: Deplatt 75, Eritel ch-40, Metorol xr 50, Rozavel 10, Razo-d-20, Thyronorm 50+12.5, Gluformin g-1 forte -or Glycomet gp1 forte, Galvus 50, Voglistar 0.2 mg, Lintus 42. She is complaining of swelling in her leg and ankle, as well as joint pain. Her weight is also increasing. Are there any side effects of any of the above medications? She is also suffering from arthritis.
