I have been taking Eptoin 100mg 3 times daily for the past 2 years. When will get rid of the giddiness ? ## Hi, I am 25 year old. I had a problem on 3rd july 2006 and i was admitted to hospital and found suffering from Neurocysticercosys. After that I was having Eptoin 100 mg tablets thrice a day for 2 years and then i stopped taking the tablets. Since 10 months i am not taking any tablets and there was no sybol of unconciousness also within this period of time. My Doctor suggested me to do EEG test but I have not yet done. My brother has been taken eptoin 100mg for more than 4 years till date with 2 doses a day and at present he is complaining of backaches and pain in the right leg which he cannot move and sometimes he is having breathing problem and weak. He could not sleep every night but slept around 2-3 Am morning till 11:00 Am, along with eptoin 100mg, the doctor advised him to take Dicorate 500mg and lobazam-0.5 which he is taken regularly. Do these medicines have any side effects? If he stops eptoin what would be the result? WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS FOR OVER DOS OF EPTOIN 100MG? ## I am taking anti seizers treatment since Jan 2001,starting with 3 Tab Eptoin 100 each daily (1-1-1)lateron 1 Tab of 300mg at night for treatment of the 3 very small episodes of epillepsy before treatment.Since treatment last 12 years I have no complains of seizers again but feel some increase in anger and nervousness with increase in blood sugar level since 4 years and being treated with Amyrl and metformine. Kindly advise that anti seizer treatment should be continue or stop after 12 years.

I'm taking eptoin 100mg tablet twice a day from one year bcoz I was unconscious again and again for 2hrs and I was suffering from fever..I'm feeling better taking tables.. is there any side effects if I continue taking tables for another year as suggested by the doctor... ## You should take them as your doctor instructs and not stop, until they instruct you to do so. The NIH lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, mood swings, and weight changes. How often have you suddenly been discovered unconscious? I am having epilepsy for about 4 years, i took only 0 - 0 - 300mg eptoin till last 6 months and now I am taking 10mg clobazam,500mg levipil - 0 - 300mg eptoin,10mg clobazam,500mg levipil a day, after an attack due to lack of sleep. After this drugs i feel not interested in anything, drowsiness, increased anger and lost my patience, etc., So i went to psycatrist and took 0 - 10mg prodep - 0 for 2 months. now after stoping it i returned back to the same condition. now i cant concentrate in my job (software). why only eptoin 100mg tablet is adviced for fits ? My age 23 years, male, 6 events since 2003 frequency now after every 6 months. all reports are normal as EEG , CT SCAN OF BRAIN ETC. If you suffer from epilepsy and experience seizures, you may require a medication like this for the rest of your life and there is nothing wrong with that, if that is the case.
