i am using encorate chrono 500 and 200 twice a day since 3 years but still i am getting monthly once is there any side effect for me ## My daughter is 7 yrs old having benign eplipsy. Started encorate chrono 200...fm last 2 months..but still she gets the fit once in a month...wht can be the reason for the same?

My mother has a lesion in her left basifrontal lobe which is the most probable cause for the Generalised Tonic Clonic Seizures she's been having since May 2013. The doctor had suggested taking Levipil 500 twice daily. The thing is there has been no improvement since and she still gets seizures. A few days back she had a very severe life threatening attack after which the doctor has increased the dosage to Levipil 500 in the moning and Levipil 750 in the night along with an additional drug Encorate Chrono (300 in the morning and 500 in the night). i have been taking the dozage since last 6 years and what i am experiencing is a constant loss of memory, hair loss & immense weight gain. Please suggest can any of these sideeffects be over comed and even may decline. My weight is 111 kgs and my total dozage per day is that of 1800mg. Please if possible do suggest the preventive and precautionary measures for countering the medicines's side effects ## I am using encorate chrono 500mg and lonazep.5mg from past 16 years

I am a 22year old girl..I've gt MRI n EEG done in 2007..I faced a fit in 2007,my neurologist suggested me encorate plain 200 dt tym n last year I again gt a fit n dn another doctor on d basis of my previous reports guided me to have encorate chrono 200 n nw I've gained a lot of weight all of a sudden n have not even gt my dates since 2.5months..is it normal..plllzzz help n suggest wht cn I do..?? my wife 53 yrs taking epilepsy medicines since more than30 yrs, has been cured in 2009 and stop all medicines.but after some months again she had fit.Then our consultant started Lavera XR 500 -2tab twice and Encorate crono 500- 2tab twice daily.Total:2000 mg of both.since last year she had jaundice 3 times,December'12, october'13, and november'13.with naucea also.Please suggest alternate medicine of Encorate crono-500, as other consultant ask to stop Encorate.please advice urgently. ## What is the side effect using of Encorate chrono 500mg and disadvantages of Enchorate chrono? ## RAM: I . A close relative has been prescribed to use this drug. can I know how soon it can take to stop his absence seizures that he experiences on a daily basis?. He has previously used tegretol and lamictal but the seizures still occur. ## I'm sorry, but there's really no way for anyone to say. If it works for him, it may take several weeks to see the full effect and for it to completely control the seizures. But there is also a chance that it may not work, just like the others. I am using ENCORATE CHRONO 500mg, along with Clonazepam I.P. 0.25mg & Phenytoin sodium I.P. 100mg, for last four years, please tell me the side effects of these in my longterm future. ## I know this is a broad answer to your question, but no one can really honestly tell you how this drug is going to effect you in the future, as they are not you. Not even "you" know how it's going to effect you until you take it. Medications can and usually do affect everyone differently, whereas some people get great results, but there are others whom it inevitably just doesn't work for no matter how many they take or how often they take it. If you've been taking these medications over the past four years without any problems or side effects then in my opinion you should be fine....

I have been taking elicia 2 mg for the past 7.5 months and now I want to skip it totally. Few months before I tried taking half and 3/4 of elicia 2 mg, but I faced sleep disorder problems once in 60-70 days of taking half tablet of elicia 2mg. Due to this problem I have been taking Zolfresh 10mg for the past 12 days in alternative days and again I faced sleep disorder problem if I am not taking Zolfresh for one day. I have been Epileptic since last 30 years. Since last two years my medicines are changed completely with Encorate chrono 500 mg, Cloaba 10 mg, levepil 50 mg, Carmax, But couldn't get any results and curing. Seizures are stopped or are rare. What negative cigratte smoking brings into Epilepsy.
