I'm on nuzak 20 for about 4 years now I found that it was not effective anymore so now I take one in he morning and one at bed time, I'm getting scared that this will end up very harmfull but I cannot control my temper without the nuzak since I started to take at bed time as well it's going better ## Hello, Leon! How are you? What dosage are you taking? It isn't harmful to take 2 doses a day, I am on the same medication and split mine up that way, as well, with my doctor's approval, because it gives me better control of the anxiety and OCD symptoms that I was experiencing from perimenopause. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and headache. The only usual concern would be if your doctor has told you not to do that...

Hello I wonder if you can help, I have been on Nuzak for a year and a half now if not more. I recently decided to gradually stop using it and this month I haven't had my menstruation could this be a side effect of me stopping the medication? ## Yes, it can affect your menstrual cycles, when you stop it, start it, change your dosage or miss doses. However, if you continue to not have your period in additional months, you should consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

Hi, I'm Jeremy from South Africa, I was diagnosed with Clinical Depressive Disorder, and my doctor put me on Nuzak 20mg for the past month. I think 2 weeks into the month, seeing that my sleeping patterns, paranoia and anxiety levels weren't norming he put me on Dopaquel 25mg (to increase dosage every 7 days till 200mg, I'm currently on 100mg ). I've been on both now for quite some time now but my only concern is I've gotten to a level where I think I've built a tollerence for both these drugs and no longer feel the effects them (cause my sleeping patterns have decreased once more). I'm too concerned about this, what advice can I kindly get? ## What time period do you consider as being on them for quite some time? It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks for both ...

Hey ive been put on nuzak 20mg a day after the birth of my daughter. Reason y I got that and not something stronger, was because I was still breastfeeding. Im starting to loose control now, as a lot has happened in my life... can nuzak be to weak for me now? Should I get something else and what? ## Hello, Thaaki! How are you? I am very sorry about the problems that you're having. The dosage of the Nuzak could be raised to enable it to start helping you, again. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and weight loss. Is there anything else I can help with?

I was on Nuzak and stopped it to take Ativan but ive become addicted to the Ativan and now i'm going back on to Nuzak because the anxiety attacks are increasing again. I take the 20mg dosage of NUZAK , but during the day I feel the anxiety attack coming on then I take the Ativan .Is this the right thing to do . Ive been to a doctor and she told me to cut out the Ativan and only take Nuzak but it doesn't keep the anxiety at bay yet. ## Hello, Patricia! How are you doing? Sorry about the problems that you've been having. I know anxiety is horrible! However, you should follow the doctor's instructions and take the medication that she's instructed you to take and stop the other. Nuzak contains the active ingredient Fluoxetine, it is an SSRI antidepressant and while it ca...
