My sister got some "Cariso 500" a few days ago. She says it is not nearly as effective as the Carisoprodal (Soma) 500 she has been taking. Are the ingredients weaker or substandard? ## Where did she get it? There is no 500mg Carisoprodol available on the U.S. market form a U.S. pharmacy. Carisoprodol is a muscle relaxant and the maximum dosage it's available in here is 350mgs. Learn more Carisoprodol details here. This medication may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth and drowsiness. ## Hey my post is missing? Do we know that Lisa's Sister lives in the United States, or Lisa for that matter?

What types of infections is this antibiotic used for? How long & at what dosages per day does one take it? And, is it in any way related to penicilin-based antibiotic drugs? ## Cephalexin is a cephalosporin antibiotic used to treat certain infections caused by bacteria such as pneumonia and bone, ear, skin, and urinary tract infections. Antibiotics will not work for colds, flu, or other viral infections. The dosage guidelines for this medication state the following: It is usually taken every 6 hours (four times a day) or every 12 hours (twice a day) for 7-10 days. Follow the directions on your prescription label carefully, and ask your doctor or pharmacist to explain any part you do not understand. Cephalexin usually comes in doses of 500mg capsules (as it did for me in the past); b...

The safety of long-term use is not known. Most people who take citicoline don't experience problematic side effects. But some people can have side effects such as trouble sleeping (insomnia), headache, diarrhea, low or high blood pressure, nausea, blurred vision, chest pains, and others. If in doubt, I recommend following the dosage suggestions listed below. Can I take two at the same time if I'm in a lot of pain? ## I can confirm that these are over the counter naproxen 220 mg (NDC 0113-4368 among others), which are nsaid fever + pain relievers. That being said, taking two would result in a 440 mg dose, which is actually lower than some prescription doses of 500 mg. As far as dosage instructions for adults 12 and over go, the page on DailyMed states: - take 1 caplet every 8 to 12 hours while symptoms last - for the first dose you may take 2 caplets within the first hour - do not exceed 2 caplets in any 8- to 12-hour period - do not exceed 3 caplets in a 24-hour period So according to the above directions, you should be okay to take 2 caplets for your first dose only. ## Sounds like they are naproxen 220mg i think, often used for pain r...

yellow and black oblong capsule, with a picture of something followed by 2407. It is supposed to be tetracyclene, but the bottle states that mylan 102 should be printed on each pill. ## Based on the description provided, I can confirm your yellow and black capsule to be Tetracycline hydrochloride (500 mg). It sounds like there was some sort of mix up at the pharmacy with the manufacturers. The marking Mylan 102 comes up as the same exact yellow and black capsule as 2407. The only difference I noticed is in the manufacturers of these pills. Additionally, there may be a slight variation of inactive ingredients, but other than that you can be assured that they are the same drug and same dosage. For information about Tetracycline, please refer to the link below... If you have any more quest...

There are 6 tablets in the bottle. How many do you take? There no instructions. ## Hi Jet, From what I could gather, "Azitromicina" or "Azithromycin" is the active ingredient in this drug. The dosage information I found for Azithromycin states that (500 mg) should be taken orally on the first day followed by (250 mg) orally once a day on days 2 through 5 (which adds up to 6 pills in total). Please post back if you have any more questions, I hope this helps! ## Thank you for this information, I needed it as well. ## Can I use Zertalin for a tooth infection? My tooth is killing me and nothing else seems to be helping.

I will be traveling to Mexico very soon. And besides the logical precautions like not drinking water or drinks with ice or raw foods and vegetables, is there any medication I can take beforehand to prevent the horrible Moctezuma's revenge...someone told me to take Pentrexyl..is this right ? and what dosage and how often... ## Pentrexyl is a brand of ampicillin available in some countries like Norway and Mexico but not available in the United States. The usual adult dosage for this medication is 250 to 500 mg orally every 6 hours for 5-10 days, depending on the nature and severity of the infection. I wouldn't recommend taking it until you have an infection though, otherwise treatment may prove to be useless, due to antibiotic resistant strains of bacteria. I hope this info helps!
