I am not familiar with doctors there, but a piece of advice I can give you is when you call them, do not ask them to prescribe any specific medication. I've had chronic pain due to autoimmune diseases for several yrs. I have been seeing a PM doctor in another state but now am in Louisville, Ky staying with a family member who has cancer. I will be here indefinitely and am running into dead ends finding a doctor who is willing to see me and write my Methadone 10 mg that I take 4 x a day. Any suggestions? However, regardless of the new laws, all doctors can still prescribe pain medications, there are just specific restrictions, so your doctor must not feel that you meet the criteria necessary.
