My name is Jim and I recently moved (January) from Detroit here to Los Angeles. For the past 7 years I have been taking 30 mg oxycodone (not contin) for my debilitating headaches. I do have a doctors verification and my medical records to back me up Up to now I have been using the ERs for medical treatment. Because I have to go so often and I don't want to risk being labeled a drug addict, I find myself using different names sometimes to avoid this. I HATE that I have to do this. These headaches are keeping me from holding down a job. They are truly debilitating. Please know that I do not get a "high" from this medication. It only helps me function in this world. If you can offer any suggestions, I would be greatly appreciative. ## Hi Jim, I may not have a doctor I can refer...

I'm trying to find an oxicodone doctor, where can I go with no medical records and where to fill it ## Hello, Jess! How are you? There is no such thing as an Oxycodone doctor. Technically, any doctor can prescribe it, but it is a controlled substance, so there are special regulations in place to try to keep it under tighter control. Thus, it is just not possible to walk into a doctor, without any records and walk out with a prescription for it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, getting them to refer you to someone would likely be the easiest way of finding the help you need.

I just lost my health insurance and need to find a new pain management doctor because I cannot afford the out-of-pocket expense to see mine any more... Can someone PLEASE hook me up with a legit doctor that won't freak out when I tell him/her what kind of pain medication I need...? I don't need a doctor who just assumes I'm an addict because I ask him/her for a specific pain medication by name that I take for legit pain... I was laid off; money is tight so I cannot bounce from doctor to doctor trying to find one willing to prescribe me my pain medication... I'm 110% legit... I have CT scans, MRIs, past medical records, etc... If you can seriously help me out with a doctor please let me know the doctor's name and phone number so I can set up an appointment with him/he...

Does anyone know of a compassionate doctor who will prescribe norcos in the Los Angeles area? I have a lower back issue that is inoperable (without consequences) and need them to just be a functioning adult again. ## If you have a serious pain issue and have x-rays, medical records and /or a MRI Dr. Benoush Zarrini is a great pain management doctor, who will work with you in your medications, make sure he knows exactly how much pain you are in!!!!! Stay away from the epidermals, unless you think they will help, he highly recommends them. I refuse and stick to my regiment of pain meds! P.S. don't use my name ## Need help finding a place to get a new MRI that is affordable and works with patients without health insurace.. My pharmacy and spine doctor are both very reputable. I went in as normal to get my 45 duragesic (fentanyl) patches in 50 mcg strength and was told pharmacy is out of stock and cannot order anymore! Each and every pharmacy says they have it and when I go in to get the prescription filled they say they are out. The range is Walgreens, CVS, hospital pharmacies, you name it and I have spent all day on buses to other locations. I live in SFV and Santa Monica. I called the Attorney General, the Governor, the manufacturer, DEA - no one will talk and most say they are unaware of the problem. All pharmacies tell me they are unable to order them. What is going on? I must be targeted for some reason and have asked. No one is complaining or posting any concerns. THIS IS VERY SERIOUS. I AM SENIOR W...

I need a dr that will prescribe heavy pain meds and Xanax in the Pasadena California area. ## I'm sorry, but there is no directory of physicians according to what they will or will not prescribe that I can refer to for you. Additionally, due to the new directives set forth by the DEA last year, you'll need to see specialists to have such medications prescribed, so in your case, that would most likely be one doctor for pain management and a psychiatrist for the Xanax. The FDA classifies Xanax as a benzodiazepine that's most commonly used to treat anxiety and nervous disorders. It carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache and irritability. Do you currently have a PCP that may be able to refer you to someone? If so...

She immediately cut my meds to ONE REGULAR VICODIN A DAY!!!!! She is now convinced I am drug seeking I am mortified -- I am left speechless and in pain. She told me to "deal" with it...this is a County Doctor....help anyone out there please post your info if you have some --- thank you so much,, Sandy ## Have you heard of or checked out the Simi Pain Management Center? Turns out I'm deadly allergic to the Mallinckrodt generic to the point of going to the ER for epinephrine. Pharmacies won't order the Aurobindo for me, so I've been calling and going to various pharmacies for it and have had no luck. I live in West Los Angeles, but I'll consider further pharmacies. Thank you ## If you provide them with documentation of your allergy, they should be able to order it in for you. The only difference I can find between them, however, is that the product from Aurobindo doesn't contain stearic acid, which is an inactive ingredient in the product from Mallinckrodt. Stearic acid is a saturated fatty acid that is used in a lot of products. What has your doctor advised? Have you had any allergy testing done to get a definitive answer on what ca...

Hi, I'm a chronic pain patient and have been taking this medication for about 4 months, but this last time I have not been able to find any pharmacy to fill my prescription at. Is there anyone who knows a pharmacy in or around los angeles or neighboring cities that will fill an rx for 60 30mg oxycodone? I can't drive around and shop store to store since the pain I am in prohibits me from doing so. I've been to about 20 places without luck. Any help would be very much appreciated, thank you! ## I need a pain doctor in Phoenix. I just found out all the pain. management places are really rehab's so I don't go to them. I love in Los Angeles County and I need to know where can I get oxycodone 30 mg filled I am in a lot of pain. ## I'm sorry, but there is no database that lists what pharmacies have any given medication in stock, though it would be great if there were. There has been a shortage, though it should resolve very soon. Learn more Oxycodone details here. The only suggestion I can really make is that if you can't get it filled anywhere, you may need to talk to your doctor about using an alternative medication in the meantime. Have you checked various local pharmacies?

I have been on pain meds since 2005 for tendinosis, and more recently for DDD and a herniated L5 to S1. I have been taking six Norco 10's a day since 2008, and usually had no problems getting my scripts filled until recently. It seems pharmacies are getting scared of these new laws. I was using Walmart for several months until today they said they weren't taking any scripts from my doctor because of "lack of communication and because he writes to many scripts for pain meds". Yes, he writes many scripts for narcotics because he's a pain specialist! And I'm sure if he ran a clinic for diabetics he would write lots of scripts for diabetes! I swear, this narcotics scare is driving people nuts! Anyway, I'm so sick of all this craziness. I just want a pharmacy that...

I am in Los Angeles on business and ran out of my Adderall XR 20mg. My doctor in DC sent me a script but no one will fill it due to a new CA law. I need a doctor in Los Angeles to write a new script so I can fill it. I am now out and need it as soon as possible. I have the current out of state script and the DC doctor to prove my history. Please help! ## What new law? I live in L.A.- can your doctor call it in? Or usually if u are a longstanding user, your pharmacy (if it has a location here where you are ex: CVS, WALGREENS) will give you the supplemental supply. Usually a 2-day supply. ## Nope you cant have it called in. Its a Level 2 Controlled Substance. They won't get confirmation from my doctor. It apparently has to come from a California doctor. Trust me, I went to 4 different...

Where can I take my mom to have her Sintrom test in Los Angeles, as she will be visiting with me for 3 months from Europe? Do I need to bring her to a specific doctor to have her tested and get her prescription? ## Hello, Carm! How are you? I hope you enjoy the visit with your mother. Do you currently have a PCP that you see regularly? If so, I'd suggest asking them, if you are an established patient, they may be willing to see her a few times, while she's here and handle it for you.

Looking for a dr. In Los Angeles that will perscribe methadone. I moved here a year and a half ago from salt lake city. I've suffered a sever head injury and had to have brain surgery. As a result I have cronic headaches. I also have 4 collapsed disks in my back from riding motorcross for years. I became addicted to pain pills and ended up going to a opiate treatment center is SLC ut and they put me on methadone to manage my pain and get me off pain pills. I was on 300 mg a day at one point. I moved to Los Angeles a year and a half ago but I couldn't find a doctor at that time so ended up going to a methadone clinic where I have been getting my weekly doses at ever sInce. I have been taking Norco 10/325 for.a few years and it has controlled my severe pain. My physician is starting to prescribe me medication that just simply doesn't work. Please.....If anyone knows of a very liberal Doctor in Los angeles, Ca. (more the south bay area: Torrance, Redondo Beach, Gardena etc.) Please let me know!!! Would be very much appreciated ## Since Norco, along with other hydrocodone combination meds, will become a Schedule II Oct 6, 2014, finding a liberal dr will be impossible. Many drs who use to write for this have stopped due to the new tigher regulations that will be in place in less than 2 weeks. ## Look under Pain Management Dr.s on the Internet or a phone book. Be sure you know what generic drug brand works for you. You may need to ask any Dr. you find if h...

My doctor in Brazil told me to tale Nimesulida, but I forgot it there. I arrived 2 data ago in Los Angeles and I'm in pain. Is there any medicine with Nimesulida that I can buy over-the-counter in a CVS or other pharmacy? ## No, I'm sorry, it isn't. It isn't even available in the U.S. by prescription, due to the severe risk of liver toxicity that is associated with it. Have you tried seeing a doctor here to find an alternative medication?

How are you? The FDA controls drug approval and safety monitoring by logging side effects, adverse reactions and etc. However, the DEA controls how much of any given substance is available, how much each pharmacy can carry, actions or recommendations to try to prevent abuse and illegal diversion and other similar issues.
