What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know

does percocet 602 and percocet 620 have the same ingredients. I know they are both 5mg oxycodone why have separate numbers? ## I didn't find any tablets with just those numbers on them. There is one with Endo 602 that contains 5mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is sold under the brand name Endocet. Learn more Endocet details here! But I haven't found any with a 620 on them, with or without other markings, that contain Oxycodone. Do you have any other details on it, such as the manufacture, or other relevant markings? I'll keep searching and post back if I find anything. ## whoever makes the 602's makes the 620's

Are all generic percocet the same exact formula? The 4839V works fine for me but I just took 1 pill marked RP on one side and 5 325 on the other and felt really sick - numbness in feet, shallow breathing, chest pain. I've been taking percocet for breakthrough pain for years and never had this happen. ## My mother just received a new bottle of percocet 5 325 with R P on the other side. It does not seem to be working like OTHER brands she has received in the past??? I took one, which should have knocked me out due to my low tolerance. It did NOTHING! ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brands, in the amount of the active ingredients, by as much as plus or minus 20%, the FDA considers this to be an acceptable therapeutic window and it was...

What ingredients does oxycodone 15mg contain? ## WHAT INGREDIENTS DOES OXYCODONE 15MG CONTAIN ## do 30 mg oxycodone have the same ingredients as the 15mg oxycodone? ## Hi , my question is about Percocet in 15 mg form. I have chronic neck and back pain and have been taking Oxycodone for 10 years now. My pain management doctor started me out at 5mgs and then about 4 years ago changed the dose to 10/325. I also have tremendous stomach pain from several stomach surgeries. Could the Percocet @15 mg be easier on my stomach than the 10/325 strength? And how badly are these medications for my liver? I will be on pain meds for the rest of my life and need to know what is the lesser of two evils? Thank you in advance for any help with this matter. ## In regards to the first posts, yes they are th...

Keeps changing patent so they can keep it write o well . I be huntting really brand Percocet next month ## Hi James, Because they are different manufacturers, Amneal more than likely contains a different set of "inactive" ingredients than Actavis (formally known as Watson). From my own research, I'm led to believe that these binders/fillers are the root cause behind some pills not working as effectively as their "identical" counterp...

I take endocet 10/325 on a daily basis for back pain and more so, nerve damage, that after a noninvasive back surgery procedure I had, in my legs. My right leg is very weak and after standing about 5 minutes my left leg goes numb from the knee to my foot. I have been taking for about 3 yrs now and they do seem to help; especially in the AM when I get up...cannot move without taking 1, have tried many times. Have not taken more than prescribed and on some days I do take less; depending on what I am doing that day. My question: does this mean I am addicted? ## On the first question, Endocet contains two active ingredients, the narcotic Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, to help it work better. I have been taking endocet 10/325 for yrs . Several my pharmacy has been out and given me oxycodone 10/325. I find I have to take 2 oxycodone a to 1 endocet . Why is that ? They say its the same I don't agree ## Hello, Molly! How are you? So you were taking the name brand for years? If so, then it does make sense that the generic may not work as well for you. There can be slight differences in the amount of the active ingredients, between the name brand and generics, so if you're used to the name brand and then receive a generic that might be slightly lower, it would only be normal to have such a problem. For most people the differences are negligible and have no real effect, but this happens to people that take something for a very long time or for those who are sensitive to me...

Was in the er a few nights ago and the doctor gave me 600 mg Mortrain and 2 325 mg of percocet. When we took my prescriptions In to get filled they switch them to oxycodone and ibuprofen can I still take them together like the doctor wants ## Hi Heather, How are you? Based on my research, there are no drug interactions listed between Ibuprofen and Oxycodone. With that said, I don't see any reason why you wouldn't be able to continue taking them together as the doctor suggested. There's also a brand available here in the US by the name of Combunox, which reportedly contains both of these active ingredients as well. So there really isn't any concern with regards to interactions since they already combine the two substances in other prescription medications. I hope this hel...

Am I crazy!? I just switched from Percs 7.5-500 to Percs 10-325 and I feel it doesn't work near the same at all. The 7.5-500 made me more pain free, and more chipper. The 10's just make me feel dazed and dizzy! Could the acetaminophen actually help that much more? So confused. Tempted to ask to go back to 7.5. I just hate feeling tired! ## The Acetaminophen does help the narcotic work better and it can also vary from person to person, so having a higher amount of it may make it work a lot better for you. Another thing that may play a role is if the new ones are from a different manufacturer, if that is the case, then they may not work as well for you, depending on fluctuations in the active ingredient, plus the inactive ingredients. Been taking oxycodone 10-325 by another company called alvogen and I got these 10-325 with m523 on the back with this company's name (mallinckrodt). Are they the same as hydrocodone? It does not relieve pain very well. ## Yes, they contain the same active ingredients, but there can be fluctuations from one generic to another. Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus, or minus 20%, and they don't have to measure against each other, just the name brand. Thus, it is possible that these ones are a little lower than the others, so they may not work as well as for you. However, since the differences are slight, your body should adjust in a week, or so. If not, you should consult your doctor. The FDA warns that this medicatio...

I was prescribed Percocet 5/325 for shingles. Then my Dr switched it to oxycodone 5/325. What is the difference between the two? ## To me it just sounds like they switched you from the brand name to the generic which contains the same active ingredients and doses. Do you have any other details about the new prescription such as a NDC number or manufacturer name? ## Percocet has Tylenol in it and oxycodone does not... ## Diamond88 you are right but I want to expand on your message just a bit. Percocet does have Acetaminophen (the active ingredient in Tylenol) in it, but it also contains Oxycodone as an active ingredient. Straight Oxycodone is different than Percocet. So, in other words ... Percocet = Acetaminophen + Oxycodone ... Oxycodone is a drug in and of itself which is sometimes an...

I ,m prescribed Oxycodone 30mg each month for pain and have gotten different kinds of them and I know that they say the same ingredients in all of them. But I know what work the best for me and I don't want to go back to the 40or 80mg .I,m hoping you mite know what stores the pharmacy distribute them to I live in the Seattle, Tacoma Washington area Thank you for your help. ## First of my heart goes out to all my fellow chronic pain sufferers. No one knows what we live with. I took Norco for 5ys. for arthritis severe low back pain. Then I was dx'd with massive peripheral nerve damage. The pain became horrible. So he put me on methadone 30mg 3 times a day along with the Norco 10/325 that I was already taking. I became tolerant to the Norco in about 2 more years. Now I'm taking...

Went for my new prescription of Percocet today. Saw a P/A. Was given a totally new script: Alvogen Oxycod/ACET 10mg/325mg. Lower left bottom yellow label states 10mg oxycodone HCI is equivalent to 8.9637mg of oxycodone. This medicine is not working at all. Whats wrong? ## There can be differences from one generic medication to another, as was granted by the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, they are allowed to differ by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients. This was done to help bring generics to market faster and the FDA considers it an acceptable therapeutic window. Most people never notice a difference, however, some people are very sensitive to any change in their medication, or they may notice a difference, if they've been taking the same one for a long ...

There is a noticeable difference in the pain relief level. Chronic Arthritis has left me virtually an invalid. Without these meds I have extreme difficulty moving and sometimes merely being at rest. I find the same prescription filled with Midlothian mgf to be less effective than the generic manufactured by Alvogen. Is there a difference in the formulation? Is there a possibility the midlothian brand is counterfeit? Prescription filled by Publix, usually from Alvogen but occasional from Midlothian. Hence the question. ## Under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand by as much as plus or minus 20% in the amount of the active ingredients, sometimes problems arise, because they do not have to measure against each other, only against the name brand....

Does norco 5/325 have the same ingredients as the little pink pill k56 which is oxycodone 10mg? My doctor switched me due to the strength. The k56 pills are stronger he said and i needed a weaker pill to be able to work. So he prescribed me the norco. What i'm saying here is that are they the same, but different doses? ## No, they are not the same. The Norco contains the narcotic Hydrocodone coupled with Acetaminophen. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. I KNOW they are the same but how come i feel more loopy with the second script when I never did with the first one.. Taking the same amount every day, nor am I abusing them. ## Hello, kk123! How are you? If they've been manufactured by different companies, since this is available as a generic, there might be a little more of the active ingredients in this one. Have you changed your dietary habits, at all? That could also play a role, as could taking it on an empty stomach or changing your dosing times. ## I havent changed my diet other than eating more fruits and veggies..
