Publix pharmacy on Babcock Road in Melbourne, Florida has had Dilaudid for the past several months. They have 8mg only, no 4's ## @paw, I think the best way to know for certain if any pharmacy in particular has something in stock or not, is to actually go there in person with your script in hand. Generally if you call and ask over the phone about availability they will more than likely say that they don't have any, since the pharmacy has no real way of knowing whether your an honest patient or someone who's potentially trying to rob them. This creates a sticky situation, because nobody enjoys driving around town for hours seeing who has what and when they might have it. Even if Publix truly does carry Dilaudid on a more frequent basis, you'd still have to check in person...

got , whats upa script this morning for 60 dilaudid 4mg and no drug store has any ## How have you been checking to see if they have them in stock? If you have just been calling the pharmacies, you are not likely to get a straight and accurate answer. Due to the extremely high risk of theft, phone calls requesting any controlled substances usually just result in your being told that they do not have any in, or do not carry them, at all. They have no way of knowing if the person on the phone is a legitimate customer, or a potential thief. The only way to get a real answer is by actually going in to the pharmacy, with your prescription in hand. ## i normally fill my 4mg hydromorphones at CVS. They ALL, i repeat ALL will tell you they either do nat carry, have or just plain cannot give that...

can not get my didludid filled after walgreens did it last month and refused this month due to good faith dispensing?? ## Hello, Fred! How are you? I'm sorry about the problem that you're having. What other pharmacies have you tried? You need to actually physically go to them, with the prescription in hand, in order to find out if they carry it. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## In response to above regarding Dilaudid prescription, the poster who first answered you said you must physically take it to them-though I didn't see anything in your post about you taking it or not taking it to them in person! I did...

i have a prescription for dilaudid (generic) 8 mg for a stage 4 cancer victim. i have called about 25 drug stores & nobody has it in stock! it's friday evening & i don't know what else to do. this poor guy is going to suffer all weekend until i can find his dilaudid. can anyone advise me on what to do? HELP!! ## i was taking 6-8 mg dalaudids a day or 180 a month for the past three years and have finally weaned my self completely off those pills which was the hardest thing i have ever done. the 24 hour walgreens and cvs in conroe, tx. carries them. ## Kakin, the primary problem here is that you are calling the pharmacies. When you call, they have no way of knowing if you are actually a customer looking for a medication that you need filled or if you are someone who is goi...

i need a pharmacy that will fill my Rx for dilaudid #8 ## why is diluadid on backorder and when will it be available in columbus, ohio? ## I'm sorry, the only thing I can guess as to why it is on backorder has to do with some recent changes made by the FDA. Some companies have been marketing unnapproved versions of these medications and they have made them remove them from the market until they undergo product quality and safety tests. This has affected many drugs on the market in the past few months. There have been several posts about this one our site, as well as many others, even nurses in hospitals have mentioned getting notifications from their pharmacies regarding a shortage. That said, I am sorry, I have no information for you on when it will be available again in ANY area. ...

Tell everyone who is using anything that they cannot prove came from a pharmacy. A dear friend of mine got very sick and almost died when he received an 8mg dilaudid looking tablet. It was fake. If you compare it to the real thing there are very subtle differences. The white tablet w/ LCI 1355 has slightly different letters and number 1 than the real one.The letters should look just like they do here. Not Roman style or more fancy lettering. Be careful people. Try to stop taking pain killers if you can.To many scammers are out there. It is your life people. ## Well said Bibi! In my opinion, if the medication isn't from a licensed pharmacy then the only way to safely verify it's contents is through a lab analysis. And even then, this may not pick up on the presence of certain ina...

chain pharmacy filling k8 dilaudid in tampa florida area ## I am sorry that you are having trouble getting your prescription filled, but unfortunately, it is likely to remain difficult for another month or two. Shortages almost always occur towards the end of the year, due to mandatory manufacturing limits and, even if they want to help you, if your pharmacy has exhausted their supply, there is nothing they can do, until production resumes in the new year. Learn more Dilaudid details here. The best suggestion I can make is that if you have insurance, you should contact them to see if they have a preferred mail order provider that you can use to get your prescription filled for now. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions?

Anyone know if dilaudid works similar to oxycodone? i am going to switch to dilaudid 8's or atleast the doc offered it to. me however now all the pharms seem to be charging prices almost as much as the oxycodone , at least according to friend of mine, any input is greatly appreciated. i live in clearwater FL, doc is 10 miles away in tampa also is there anyone on here that knows any accurate facts on what the hell is really going on here with pain med prices?? please educate me!!!!! thanks in advance!! ## There really just seems to be crazy stuff going on at all the pharmacies in Florida, though no, there are no facts available as to why. As to working similar to Oxycodone, yes, Dilaudid is also a narcotic, so in theory, it should work for pain as well as Oxycodone. However, medicati...

trying to locate dilaudid 8 mg ## i have a script for dilaudid 8 mg. they are backordered in Md. where can i get it filled?? ## I am not too familiar with pharmacies in MD, but I do know from when I lived there for a short time, that it was very hard to get narcotics prescriptions filled, I usually had to look for a pharmacy that specialized in pain management medications, as most regular drug stores didn't keep them in stock. Finding these types of controlled medication online can also be difficult. Have you tried calling around to see if anyone in your area has it? Since I don't know exactly what area of MD you are in, it is hard for me to even try and suggest somewhere. To the original poster, are you in MD as well or somewhere else? Has anyone ever gotten dilaudid from a compound pharmacy before? I live in Florida brought my script to this pharmacy and when I picked them up they were red capsules with no markings? When I got home I googled the pharmacy and it is apparently a compound pharmacy, I just moved from New York and have never heard of such a thing? ## Hi, Dave! If you're unsure, contact the pharmacy to double check, they shouldn't have any problem with it. However, compounding pharmacies are pretty common in most large areas and major cities, especially near large hospitals. They make the medications to order according to doctor specifications, so their capsules have no markings, they aren't required to, since they aren't manufactured drugs, such as those you would receive from a regular ph...

Why does Rhodes make different generic 8mg Dilaudid. I have had it round and now I have it with two P's on one side and an eight on the other side. And it's in a peculiar shape. I know they were bought out by Purdue. But why do you need different generic pills for the same exact strength??? ## Hello, Amber! How are you? Sometimes the company listed on your pharmacy bottle aren't the actual manufacturers, they are just licensed distributors. Thus, it is always best to go by the imprints, rather than the pharmacy label. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, constipation, and headache. What were the markings on the round ones?

Because I moved to Tampa, I can't get the medication filled in Pinellas county. This is nuts! Also, I can't find a pharmacy that can order it in, even if I go to my old (where they know me) CVS in Largo, FL because there is some kind of shortage. This is absolutely ridiculous. Will a 75 mcg/hr fentanyl patch help with dilaudid withdrawal? ## Tramadol 50 mg x 2 tablets is the only thing that works for me when I can't find a pharmacy to fill my Dilaudid. I have heard it helps with Oxy and other pain reliever withdrawals. The stupid Commonwealth of Kentucky has outlawed Tramadol and Lyrica is highly regulated because it helps with withdrawals. Yes, they are living in the stone age. So, Tramadol must work for others as well. Your doctor should prescribe it, it is available at any pharmacy, doesn't help that much with the pain, but you won't get sick. ## Fentanyl is much stronger, so that would actually be the wrong direction to go.
