I take difene for arithritis just one a day, but I do have a dilation of the main arotic valve in the heart, it is safe for me. ## Hello, Margaret Ann! How are you? There can be some cardiac risks associated with taking nonsteroidal anti-inflammatories, because some of the side effects the FDA lists that they can possibly cause include fluid retention and high blood pressure. Thus, depending on the severity of your condition, it may be dangerous for you to continue it. It would be best to double check with your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am 71, healthy but have mild grogginess in the morning and sinus like headache which I have read as a possible side effect. I need to find out if this medication is working. How long before it works? ## How long have you been taking it? With these types od drugs, you will not experience the full effects until you have been on it for between 2 to 4 weeks. Some of the most common side effects include: drowsiness, impairment of judgment, pupil dilation and irritability. ## Depending on how much you take, the effects should be felt within 15 or so minutes (it is often abused as a recreational drug). I'm not sure what the person above me is talking about. I've been prescribed it for years now and take it in the event of panic attacks which is why it HAS to work very quickly.

I gave birth 9 months ago to my first baby thru a c-section and have been bleeding non stop since. My doctor has given me pills and injections to stop the bleeding but it hasn't stopped. A friend says I should do a womb scrub. Is it safe to do a womb scrub and does it help stop bleeding? ## A woman scrub would be a dilation and curettage procedure, the risks are usually pretty low and yes, it has sometimes been used in such instances, but you would need to consult your doctor to see if they feel it is appropriated for you to undergo. You can learn more about it here: What else has your doctor advised?
