what is the difference of the letter m and letter a ## If you are referring to pill logos, then that would mean they are being made different manufacturers. When a medication is released for generic production, several companies usually pick it up and start making it. All tablets have to have unique markings on them, to enable their identification. M is a logo commonly used by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals and the A has been used by Abbott. Do you have any other questions? ## i know that "30s" come in light blue with markings of A, M, V. What are the corresponding numbers on the other side? What are the markings of a perc 15? ...

I ,m prescribed Oxycodone 30mg each month for pain and have gotten different kinds of them and I know that they say the same ingredients in all of them. But I know what work the best for me and I don't want to go back to the 40or 80mg .I,m hoping you mite know what stores the pharmacy distribute them to ## Please tell me the doctor's name i need help for pain ## @Dave, To my understanding, pharmacies aren't necessarily the one's distributing the meds to different stores, but rather, it's the manufacturers who market & distribute their meds to various pharmacies. And as far as receiving a certain dosage, this is something that your doctor is supposed to specify on your prescription - so what I would encourage you to do is talk with him/her directly in order to cla... ...

orange ## Sorry, you have not provided enough information. This drug is available in both name brand and generic versions. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. In order to identify your pill for you and tell you what it is, you need to provide the complete imprint from the pill, all letters, numbers and/or symbols that may be on it, as well as the color and shape. Then I can look it ... ...

The np 12 10mg oxycodone hcl pills are just as good if not better than the k's or A's or any other 10mg oxy for that matter..like the previous person said it all matters how your body metabolized the drug...bottomline everyones chemistry is diffrent...ive been on narcotics since i was 16 and I have always hated the "this brand is better than this brand" discussion ## @Grizzy, You have a good point about 'how the body metabolizes the drug due to different body chemistry', as opposed to one brand being "better" than another. I think there are few exceptions though, like when it comes to certain manufacturers using more or less active/inactive ingredients that obviously give it a greater or lesser advantage than other brands/generics right off the bat. A goo... ...

What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know ...

I have a perscription for Oxycodone 5mg tablets, some have M and 05|32 the others have just K|18 are these all the same pills, and just have different manufacturers? My drug store is closed, so I can't ask them. Please let me know asap if you can. Thank you. ## K 18 is KV Tech's Inc Oxycodone 5 mg ## Yes, Rb is correct, it is also 5mgs of Oxycodone. Pharmacies sometimes do this when they run out of those from one manufacturer. They probably found a different supplier this time, who has a cheaper product. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, dizziness and dry mouth. Read more: Do you have any other questions? ## They suck don't work the same ...

Lots of questions on identification of pills LOL. Have any of you been subjected to having to purchase Oxycodone manufactured by KVK Tech? Over a year ago the pharmacies started pushing these pills on several of us. They don't work and have awful side effects. Anyone else had bladder, attitude, pain relief problems? ## Hello, Susie! How are you? Yes, many people have been complaining about the tablets from KVK Tech, as well as several from a few other manufacturers. It isn't just you that's having an issue with them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you spoken to your doctor about the problem? They may be able to prescribe a different m... ...

Watson 5-325 oxycodone

I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. Has anyone had any experience with the endocet? or any helpful advice for me? Thanks in advance... ## Have you tried asking the pharmacies if they can order the one manufactured by Watson in for you? Most of them can do so, but you would be responsible for the price difference between their usual generic and what the one from Watson costs. The Endocet, however, may work well, because it is a brand name manufactured by End... ...

What's the drug that's in Roxycodone30mg ## Hi jack, To answer your question, Roxicodone is simply a different brand name for Oxycodone. This in and of itself is the only active ingredient. As far as inactive ingredients go (such as binders & fillers), this is going to vary slightly from brand to brand, due to the different manufacturers and distributors of these medications. Did you have a specific pill that needs to be identified for it's inactive ingredients? If so, please post back with a pill description (including an imprint, color, shape, etc). How are you? There is no instant release 30mg Oxycodone, the ones manufactured by Mallinckrodt with the M on them are regular release tablets, they work within about 15 to 20 minutes of taking them. That said, there have always been several of this dosage available from different manufacturers. That is very common with generics, so yes, they most likely do have one from a different manufacturer. This medication is weak compared Actavis oxycodone ## Hi Jay, How would you rank the mallinckrodt vs actavis on a scale on 1-10? I know a lot of patients who've been used to taking certain brands have also complained about actavis as well, but in my experience I'm finding the that primary differences people have are based on a variety of individual factors; such as tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, etc. Not only that but because both manufacturers use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers), this could also influence how much of the oxycodone is actually being metabolized and used by your body at any given time. These are the fillers used in mallinckrodt's (M 30) oxycodone 30mg tablet: microcrystalline cellulose + lactose monohydrate + stearic a... ...

I too used to take the Watson Marked ones, but CVS switched to these and I find these VERY VERY effective. I think that the reason some people don't like them is there body is used to the other and a lot of it maybe "brain" issues. Your brain is used to taking "Watson's" and when you change your brain is saying Ol no something different it won't work, helpppp... But rest assured your body WILL get used to them and start to work, it just takes time. Thanks, Jeremy ## When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't necessarily change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences and side effects people feel have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may o... ...

We are looking for the co that makes this medication so we can get it at a discount. Please help me with what you can on information. ## Oxycontin is manufactured by Purdue Pharma, however, unless you are pharmacy, or some type of medical service, such as a hospital, you are not going to be able to purchase large quantities directly from them, since it requires a doctor's prescription. Oxycodone is a generic and has many different manufacturers, which can vary from country to country. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Purdue offers a discount card that is accepted at most pharmacies. It is usually good for 1 year, and makes a huge difference to out of pocket costs. I be huntting really brand Percocet next month ## Hi James, Because they are different manufacturers, Amneal more than likely contains a different set of "inactive" ingredients than Actavis (formally known as Watson). why does hydrocodone make me sick but oxycodone not
1 Reply RSS
Remember the FDA approves Hyslinga re to replace hydrocodone and the are putting naltrexone in oxys the bait n switch ## @Samo, One theory I had in regards to the thread question/title is that certain side effects could potentially be attributed to the variations of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) different manufacturers use in the composition of each tablet. Many ingredients I researched are generally regarded as safe, but others including dyes, still remain questionable for our health and well being. However, another thought as to why Hydrocodone could be making you sick, but not Oxycodone - is that if you're body is used to having a stronger narcotic like Oxycodone, then abruptly switching over to something much weaker in essence (such as Hydrocodone) is bound to bring abo... ...

I have been on Oxycodone 30 mg for several years and from several manufacturers. Recently I was given 30mg from a manufacturer called Caraco. I was taking up to two at a time followed by a third in a hour because I was not getting any relief. I spoke to my dr and explained I was going thru withdrawals and getting no relief from my pain with the meds that have always worked in the past. He went ahead and prescribed 15 mg of oxycodone so I could get a different manufacturer due to my pharmacy saying there was a shortage of Oxycodone they were not able to get any of the 30 mg due to a shortage of the drug. The only manufacturer available was Caraco. I looked them up and found they have been in trouble before for not putting the ingredient in the medicine. How can we as patients be sure we ... ...

There are 3 brand name for Oxycodone, by itself, on the U.S. market and each represents a different formulation. There is Oxycontin, which is a 12-hour time released formulation, Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation and OxyIR, which is an instant release formulation. Of those, the Roxicodone and OxyIR are both available as generics and those are made by many different manufacturers. Then, there are the combinations that are available.
