what is the difference of the letter m and letter a ## If you are referring to pill logos, then that would mean they are being made different manufacturers. When a medication is released for generic production, several companies usually pick it up and start making it. All tablets have to have unique markings on them, to enable their identification. M is a logo commonly used by Mallinckrodt pharmaceuticals and the A has been used by Abbott. Do you have any other questions? ## i know that "30s" come in light blue with markings of A, M, V. What are the corresponding numbers on the other side? What are the markings of a perc 15?

I ,m prescribed Oxycodone 30mg each month for pain and have gotten different kinds of them and I know that they say the same ingredients in all of them. But I know what work the best for me and I don't want to go back to the 40or 80mg .I,m hoping you mite know what stores the pharmacy distribute them to ## Please tell me the doctor's name i need help for pain ## @Dave, To my understanding, pharmacies aren't necessarily the one's distributing the meds to different stores, but rather, it's the manufacturers who market & distribute their meds to various pharmacies. And as far as receiving a certain dosage, this is something that your doctor is supposed to specify on your prescription - so what I would encourage you to do is talk with him/her directly in order to cla...

Is it possible that the same medicine Oxycodone 30mg, made by two different manufacturers, different codes, are both legitimate? One is darker than the other. Or should they be the same shade? ## Since it is a generic, yes, that is possible. Sometimes, even ones made by the same company with the same codes will have a slight variance in color shading. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. What are the markings on them? If you post back with this information, I can double check for you. ## Different manufacturers different color, shape or in print.

I know this is going to sound a little weird but has anybody noticed with Oxycodone 10mg that your bowel movements are much easier? I have always had constipation when taking my medication and suddenly this month I have had absolutely no issues which is really weird. Another thing I've noticed is my anxiety is really high... Has anyone else noticed going to the Bathroom been easier ? Sorry for the nasty question. ## Are you taking the regular release formulation? Some generic manufacturers use different excipients, which could cause this to occur, since the normal side effect is constipation, according to FDA reports. They also warn that it carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause other side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, dry mouth, and headache. As to the anxiety...

orange ## Sorry, you have not provided enough information. This drug is available in both name brand and generic versions. There are many generic manufacturers and each one of them will make a pill that looks different. There are no rules saying that pills with the same ingredient have to look the same! The size, color, shape and imprint will all vary from manufacturer to manufacturer. The only relevant regulations from the FDA state that they must have unique imprints for identification purposes, but these will even differ by manufacturer and strength of the med. In order to identify your pill for you and tell you what it is, you need to provide the complete imprint from the pill, all letters, numbers and/or symbols that may be on it, as well as the color and shape. Then I can look it ...

The np 12 10mg oxycodone hcl pills are just as good if not better than the k's or A's or any other 10mg oxy for that matter..like the previous person said it all matters how your body metabolized the drug...bottomline everyones chemistry is diffrent...ive been on narcotics since i was 16 and I have always hated the "this brand is better than this brand" discussion ## @Grizzy, You have a good point about 'how the body metabolizes the drug due to different body chemistry', as opposed to one brand being "better" than another. I think there are few exceptions though, like when it comes to certain manufacturers using more or less active/inactive ingredients that obviously give it a greater or lesser advantage than other brands/generics right off the bat. A goo...

I have two v4812 pills, they look like they are legit but one is light blue and the other is Obviously darker... Should I be concerned about quality at all? Were they just made by two different manufacturers? Or are they using different types of dyes now, can anyone shed some light on this... ## If you had both pills filled at a licensed pharmacy then I don't think you should have anything to worry about... But if not, then I would certainly be questioning where you got them from. No two manufacturers share the same pill imprint for the same drug... so that theory is out the window in my opinion. If they are real, then perhaps it's feasible to assume that two different dyes were used in two different batches that got mixed together and put into the same prescription bottles. If ...

What is the difference between roxicodone and oxycodone ? ## From what I understand, Roxicodone and Oxycodone are both the exact same medication. The only difference you might find would probably be in the list of inactive ingredients (binders/fillers) that different manufacturers use in their tablets. I think the real confusion sets in when people start discussing Percocet (which is sometimes partially labeled as Oxycodone). However, it also contains Acetaminophen; the differentiating factor between those two meds. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Oxycodone Details I hope this info helps to answer your question! ## Will oxycodone and roxicet be metabolized the same in the body?....thats all i NEED to know

I am knowledgeable about all the different brands of Oxycodone. I broke my neck in a car accident in October 2009 and been going back and forth to pain management doctors. ## Are you referring to brands, formulations or manufacturers? There are 3 brand name for Oxycodone, by itself, on the U.S. market and each represents a different formulation. There is Oxycontin, which is a 12-hour time released formulation, Roxicodone, which is a regular release formulation and OxyIR, which is an instant release formulation. Of those, the Roxicodone and OxyIR are both available as generics and those are made by many different manufacturers. Then, there are the combinations that are available. Percocet is a regular release formuation that contains Oxycodone and Acetaminophen, it is also available as a...

Lots of questions on identification of pills LOL. Have any of you been subjected to having to purchase Oxycodone manufactured by KVK Tech? Over a year ago the pharmacies started pushing these pills on several of us. They don't work and have awful side effects. Anyone else had bladder, attitude, pain relief problems? ## Hello, Susie! How are you? Yes, many people have been complaining about the tablets from KVK Tech, as well as several from a few other manufacturers. It isn't just you that's having an issue with them. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Have you spoken to your doctor about the problem? They may be able to prescribe a different m...

I was getting watson 5-325 oxycodone from a pharmacy that my health insurance recently dropped from my coverage. The other pharmacies in my area do not carry the watson brand. I've tried 3 different pharmacies 3 different manufacturers and none seem to work as well as the watsons. I'm down to my last pharmacy which carries endocet brand of the oxycodone I need. Has anyone had any experience with the endocet? or any helpful advice for me? Thanks in advance... ## Have you tried asking the pharmacies if they can order the one manufactured by Watson in for you? Most of them can do so, but you would be responsible for the price difference between their usual generic and what the one from Watson costs. The Endocet, however, may work well, because it is a brand name manufactured by End...

I was prescribed oxycodone 15 mg from my doctor & when I picked them up from the pharmacy & they have the curved E 7 imprint from Epic pharma mfg, but there is no description on the label which I thought was required by law & they don't seem to be working to alleviate my pain like other manufacturers that I have received previously so I was wanting to know if these could be a placebo......do you know if Epic Pharma llc makes placebo oxycodones?? ## Also, do you know if the pharmacy is required by law to list the description & imprint of the pill on the bottle label? ## No, it is not a legal requirement, though many pharmacies do it as a courtesy to try to help avoiding customer confusion, if they are receiving medication from a different manufacturer than usual. The ...

What's the drug that's in Roxycodone30mg ## Hi jack, To answer your question, Roxicodone is simply a different brand name for Oxycodone. This in and of itself is the only active ingredient. As far as inactive ingredients go (such as binders & fillers), this is going to vary slightly from brand to brand, due to the different manufacturers and distributors of these medications. Did you have a specific pill that needs to be identified for it's inactive ingredients? If so, please post back with a pill description (including an imprint, color, shape, etc). is there a new 30mg oxycodone out i went to the pharmacy they told me the m box is on back order they got a new brand but cost double ## IM SORRY IF IT MAKES A DEF THEY ARE 30MG IR I GET THANK U CAN USE HELP ME AND LET ME NO IF USE HEARD ABOUT A NEW 30MG IR COMING OUT ## Hello, Sphilly! How are you? There is no instant release 30mg Oxycodone, the ones manufactured by Mallinckrodt with the M on them are regular release tablets, they work within about 15 to 20 minutes of taking them. That said, there have always been several of this dosage available from different manufacturers. That is very common with generics, so yes, they most likely do have one from a different manufacturer. The FDA lists this medication as being a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and m...

This medication is weak compared Actavis oxycodone ## Hi Jay, How would you rank the mallinckrodt vs actavis on a scale on 1-10? I know a lot of patients who've been used to taking certain brands have also complained about actavis as well, but in my experience I'm finding the that primary differences people have are based on a variety of individual factors; such as tolerance, age, weight, metabolism, etc. Not only that but because both manufacturers use a different set of "inactive" ingredients (binders/fillers), this could also influence how much of the oxycodone is actually being metabolized and used by your body at any given time. These are the fillers used in mallinckrodt's (M 30) oxycodone 30mg tablet: microcrystalline cellulose + lactose monohydrate + stearic a...

I too used to take the Watson Marked ones, but CVS switched to these and I find these VERY VERY effective. I think that the reason some people don't like them is there body is used to the other and a lot of it maybe "brain" issues. Your brain is used to taking "Watson's" and when you change your brain is saying Ol no something different it won't work, helpppp... But rest assured your body WILL get used to them and start to work, it just takes time. Thanks, Jeremy ## When you switch brand names or manufacturers the drug itself doesn't necessarily change, but rather the binders or fillers that they put with it. For this very reason, I believe the differences and side effects people feel have a lot to do with certain "inactive" ingredients that may o...

manufacturers of the medication oxycodone ## Which formulation? There is a 30mg extended release, under the name brand Oxycontin, that is manufactured by Purdue. However, there is also a regular release 30mg formulation that is available under the name brand Roxocidone and as a generic, so it is available from several different manufacturers. ## What is the problem with the shortage on the 30mg oxycodones? Oxycodone comes in many different shapes and colors. As many different shapes and colors that exist, there are just as many different manufacturers. No one pill is the same. E/8 with nothing on the side and dark blue is a oxycodone 30mg and i can say this for a fact cause I'm looking at them now. No one oxycodone is the same: Ms, Vs, A215, A51, 114, 224, algs, E/8 and many many more... ## You're right, no oxycodone tablet is created equally. Although I think this also holds true for many other types of medications as well containing the same active ingredients (with minor to moderate discrepancies in generics vs brands) - Not to mention the different sets of inactive ingredients that seem to affect bioavailability for better or worse absorption. Couple these facts with our uniqu...
