I have inflammation in my back and was taking a pill called Cataflam 50mg but it does not work and still hurts. Can I take a cti 103 (Diclofenac Sodium 75mg) pill instead? Is Cataflam 50mg weaker than Diclofenac Sodium 75mg? ## Hi Evenlyn, Sorry to hear about your back condition. I hope you feel better soon! To answer your question, in short, yes, 50mg is weaker than 75mg. Cataflam is simply another brand name of Diclofenac; so it's pretty much the exact same thing at a different dosage, albeit the suffix is potassium with Cataflam instead of sodium as with the common/standard Diclofenac (& I'm not certain as to whether either mineral makes any notable difference in bioavailability/potency). As to whether or not you can take 75mg instead of 50mg, that's entirely up to yo...

I purchased diclofenac sodium & codeine phosphate tablets 50mg, but I cant find any images to identify it as such. It came in a foiled back pop out sleeve of 10. It's a light peach or pink color with a score on one side and nothing on the other. It also says Duranzo on it. My vision is not so good so i cant make out the pharmaceutical co. Can you help me please? ## Hello, Mini! How are you? This combination isn't available in the U.S., it is a foreign medication from India. Duranzo is listed as containing Diclofenac and Codeine, but since foreign medications aren't regulated like U.S. prescription drugs, there's no way to confirm that's what you've received. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit formin...

My friend says that this medicine is for curing headaches... But as i read its uses, head aches is one of the side effects of taking this medicine... Which is true? ## Hi, Jan! As odd as it may seem, both are actually true. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and while these medications do successfully treat headaches in some people, there is also a chance that they could cause headaches in some people as a side effect. This is actually much more common with medications than one would expect. For instance, antidepressants can cause depression in some people that take them. Learn more Diclofenac details here. Diclofenac is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat mild-to-moderate pain, and helps to relieve symptoms of arthritis. In my honest opinion it's not very similar to Percocet or Norco at all in terms of potency. The only thing that makes these drugs similar is the fact they they can all be used for pain.
