Diarrehea

Husband has had diarrhea for three weeks now after having a flu shot. Lab tests say no bacteria or parasites. ## Husband is improving. Doctor prescribed diphen/atropine. ## Hi Nancy, It sounds to me like your husband may have had food poisoning or something of that nature. Does he recall if he's been eating something that could've triggered the diarrhea in the first place? Other questions I would ask, is if your husband has been on any sort of detox supplement, laxative, or otherwise eating a lot of citrus fruits that promote loose stools. From my perspective as a future dietitian; one things for sure, whatever food was built up in his digestive tract was ready to be pushed out. As well as penicillin, keflex, sulfa, erythromycin and just found Clarithromycin (caused severe diarrehea and vomiting, so what now would be available for me to take? ## Hello, Gwen! How are you? Some other options include Nitrofurantoin, Metronidazole, Amoxicillin and Ampicillin, though there is always a risk that you may find yourself allergic or sensitive to more medications, that tends to be the way it works. The FDA lists the typical antibiotic side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Is there anything else I can help with?

I just finished taking Amox-Clav 875MG. for 7, days, 2 a day for a dog bite. 2 days after taking my last pill, I have become very sick with diarrehea, and feel like I have a fever, but do not. Could this be delayed side effects from taking the medicine? ## Amoxicillin and Clavulanic Acid are the active ingredients in Augmentin, which is an antibiotic that used to treat various types of infections. After 2 years of back pain and doctors not wanting to prescribe narcotics I looked elsewhere. I've ordered from a few places but first time ordering tylex cd from Mexico (white capsule, no markings) I've had explosive diarrehea for 2 days. Can't sleep. Don't know if it's due to recent surgery or is it the meds. Has anyone ordered tylex cd - white capsule from Mexico and had a good result? ## The codiene should do the opposite and constipate you. However, when taken correctly, Tylex-cd is a relatively mild opiate, so you could have diarrhea if you just switched from a stronger opiate pain killer. ## Very tru ....maybe an infection you have cuz tylex cd is quality.
