I have been on norco 10/325 for about a year n a half ( started on 5/500 vicodin before that) I take 4 a day like clock work 8am,noon 4:30 then if needed at 9 pm. Recently my dr moved out of state, I have appt with new dr pm 21st of this month. Anyhow I weaned down for a week and now I have been w/ O for 3 days the only real effect I'm having is I sweat especially in early mornings. How long will this last??I'm wondering if I should continue to take em. I have 2 herniated discs and that dergenative disc disease to the point I have lost almost 3in in height in 4 years. (I'm 37) won't opperate say it will do more harm than good. I have been taking pain medication for the last seven years due to a stroke in blood clotting issues. Im 36 and I've found that even though generics are chemical the same. But each manufacture uses different inactive fillers. Some are good but there are a few are outright bad. And tthe bad ones are cheaper to make. I stated with vicodin I complained about the euphoric sensation and was switched to Percocet 10/325. I was able to ween down to only taking 5to10 a mont(started at 120/month). Been taking painkillers ( vicodin, lortab, lorcet ((discontinued)), and Norco for many years. Skiing, motorcycles, etc. Whe I started the Norco, I got them from cvs. Found out that the ones manufactured by Malincrodt were completely ineffective when compared to the Watson product. My Doc has me on the pink k56 oxy now. I picked them up, reluctantly, from cvs because of the insurance Discount. Only able to get coverage for 90 although I had a prescription for 120. My question is does anyone know if the ones I have (manufactured by KVK-Tech INC) are going to be a waste of time like the Malinkrodt norcos were. This is a narcotic pain reliever, very strong and addictive. ## I wouldn't say they are "very strong", they are strong if you're not used to narcotic pain relievers, much stronger than a darvocet, tylenol 3, or even a plain vicodin 5/500, but weak compared to pain relievers such as percocet, roxycodone, morphine, dilaudid, demerol, oxycontin, fentanyl, and the many other stronger painkillers on the market. Is their a difference between the two? ## I hace severe/chronic sciatica and the doctor has been proscribing Vicodin/hydrocodone for years......2 at a time and some days, as much as 4 doses. Recently he cut the tylenol portion so that it would be safer for my liver than the previous 10/660 and 10/500 tablets. Accordingly, he prescribed small amounts of Percocets (10/325 E712) and Hydrodone Norco (10/325) so that I could decide which worked better for me. My initial reaction was that 2 of the percocet compared to 2 of the hydro manifested mainly in drowsiness. I have taken multiple types of pain medication I have osteoarthritis among some other problems as well.
