SMALL WHITE TABLETS ## My mother has been on Atenolol for her blood pressure for years and now the pharmacist told he is out of Atenolol and gave her Sandoz as a replacement. Is this medication the same as Atenolol? ## Well Sandoz is the drug company name, not the medication name, so I cannot tell you if this is the same stuff or not, unless you provide the imprint on the pill, or the medicine name. ## Hi. I have been taking atenolol 25 mg for possibly 10 years or more and never had a problem with sandoz. All of a sudden they are having a hard time getting atenolol so now I'm getting them from zydus supplier and the pill is much bigger. I took it and got very dizzy/sick to my stomach with diarrhea. The pharmacist says nothing is wrong with it but I am very concerned about my symptom...

I was stressed out over my relationship breaking down and I asked for Sandoz, because of my anxiety, but was given the pink tablets not the white, the pink ones knocked me out, what is the difference between them both as I seemed to be fine if I only had half of the pink one, and they seemed to work better on controlling the anxiety than having one full white one. ## Sandoz is the name of a company that manufactures medications, it isn't the name of a medication, so I am not sure which one you are talking about. They make quite a few different products. If it's given for anxiety/stress, then I would guess that it is some type of Benzodiazepine, such as Alprazolam or Clonazepam, which are both in their product catalog. What are the markings on the tablets? This would enable me to...

Sandoz version of generic Adderall 20mg is the same garbage Adderall generic Aurobindo. I mean exactly the same pill! They stamp a different name on the outside of the bottle, but its all made at that awful Aurobindo cheap/ fake pharmaceutical company, These pharmaceutical companies think they are so smart! You can put whatever name on the outside of the bottle you want... it's still going to be garbage. ## Hello, Christine! How are you? I'm sorry that you are so unhappy with this medication. As to the pills, under law, the U.S. FDA requires every company to use a unique imprint to enable identification of manufactured products in case of emergency. Thus, the imprints are not repeated from one company to another. However, the manufacturer listed on the label by your pharmacy cou...

Does anyone know why this drug is unavailable now? I have checked with ten pharmacies so far. ## Hello, DebCar! How are you? It's hard to say, the company may just be having a shortage, they may have discontinued it, or the pharmacies may have just switch to a cheaper supplier. Did you try asking them if they can order it in for you?

I got the orange pill with E404. It's from Eon Labs (Sandoz) 30mg. I don't feel the effect as I would on the CorePharma. ## This pill is indeed Amphetamine Salts 30 mg (NDC 0185-0864). One of the possible reasons why you may not be getting the same amount of relief with Sandoz (EON) as you might with Corepharma, is often due to the fact that each manufacturing company uses a different set of binders/fillers (inactive ingredients). This is basically the extra fluff that holds the tablet together. Some companies use more of it than others, and some even go so far as using cheaper genetically modified substances that our body's can't metabolize (yet it's what's covering up the actual active substance, blocking it being released in it's normal therapeutic quanti...

Is sandoz lorazepam the same as watson or actavis? I mean, the same brand? I heard that they are same company or same manufacturer. I took watson but due to serious side effect (panic attack, heart pounding, dehydration, choking, asthma, internal tremor, insomnia) with no calming effect, I was very ill so could not take it. Rite aid accepted return, but CVS did not accept return when I got serious side effect from leading pharma lorazepam at once so could not take it. CVS said in California, once patients receive any medicine they can not return it as it is against the law. Then why rite aid accepted return? CVS also told me that no transfer is allowed. But for controlled substance, one transfer is allowed as I experienced a lot of times before. Once patient bought it unless they return...

I have taken metformin 500mg tabs Sandoz for years today when I picked up my medicine they gave me metformin 500 mg tab zyd. What is the difference in the two? ## Hello, Deb! How are you? Sandoz and Zydus are just the manufacturers, so that's the only difference based on what you've posted. Your pharmacy is just carrying one that's been manufactured by a different company. Learn more Metformin details here. Are there any other questions or concerns? ## that just happened to me also, i went from the sandoz to the zyd (metformin 500mg) , the zyd is bigger and ive been on it a couple weeks, ever since they switched, (same pharmacy,(walmart) same drugest) so why the 2 different pills?..back to my comment, ever since they switched me to this bigger pill ive had a hard time going ...

I've been on Sandoz/Eon Labs Adderral 20MG for something like 10-15 years and it's always worked beautifully for me. However, it's become harder and harder to find in my area over the years (South Orange County, California). I called 15 pharmacies this morning and no one had it (both franchises and small mom and pop pharmacies). One pharmacy said it was "discontinued." Another one said Sandoz was bought out by another company and is no longer producing the medication. I've been told by multiple locations that "only people who already have it in stock are going to have it" and it won't be possible to order it. I'm at a loss for those of you who have reacted well to Sandoz, is there any other brand you've responded well to? I'm kinda despera...

I take 30 mg Adderall Ir and sandoz is the only brand that doesn't give me nausea. I don't know what's going on with the pharmaceutical companies but it's really had an affect on my life. I had to withdraw from nursing school because a drug company changed the formula and I felt like I was going crazy. ## There is something going on with the formula. I've been working on it all weekend. I will get more specific information to you when I get it gathered. It seems like the 'PINK' pill is the problem. I've never taken Adderall, but I knew something was wrong. However I can assure you that you are NOT going crazy. There are so many of ADDers/ADHDers that are picking up on this problem. Even many people that have never taken it before. I am starting to think t...

My aunt has been taking the Sandoz Pharmaceutical, hydrochlorothiazide and triamterene for 13 yrs. The GG606, now the pharmacy is saying they can't get that one anymore that they have a new one by a different company that is the same. She has tried to take this, but it gives her a terrible heachache, where the other one didn't. Is there any pharmacy that still carries this medication by Sandoz Pharmaceutical? ## Unfortunately, there is a shortage of the Triamterene and Sandoz is one of the companies affected, so it isn't currently available anywhere. There can be fluctuations in the active ingredients of generic medications, this may be causing changes in her blood pressure, which could cause the headaches. Has she talked to her doctor about this, yet? She may require a dosa...

Sorry, title s/b "amlod/benazp 10-20 Sandoz" - Pharmacy just refilled with "amlod-benaz 10-20 Teva" Different color (medium blue while Sandoz was purple) Should I question my doctor before taking the new refill "Teva"? Thank you ## It's the same medication, the new pills you received have just been manufactured by a different company, which is Teva. And no, it's very dangerous to skip doses of this medication, because it may cause severe rebound effects, such as elevated heart rate and blood pressure. Are there any other questions or comments? ## This happened to me three weeks ago. Little by little I began to experience a general sort of itchiness - and a very few hive-like bumps. but the BIGGEST problem is that I am experiencing changes in the vision in...

Do pay attention to the company brand names. I've been on Sandoz brand for years with no problem. In fact, I was doing pretty good. Then my pharmacy closed or retired. The new pharmacy sent me Mylan brand, a blue color with an M non it. They make me lethargic and doped. So generic companies ingredients are not all exactly the same. ## I started taking the blue pill by mylan a week ago and do not like it. It makes me irritable, dizzy, anxious. I was taking the generic brand by Watson before that for 2 weeks and I felt great. Not waking up depressed or feeling down. ## @Just Wanted to Help, You are right, inactive ingredients are not always exactly the same in generics as well as other brand names. It has come to my understanding that they can also have an affect on bioavailability, m...

is co metformin the same as sandoz metformin both 500mg. ## Hello, Barb! How are you? Yes, they are the same, the Co and Sandoz just designate which company manufactured it. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

Is this company on the up & up?.I've just had a prescription filled for their brand of 0.5 alprazolam & it is not helping my panic attacks like my previous prescriptions in the past. I've had both sandoz & greenstone over the years that worked fine. But I am not getting relief from these and have even taken 2 instead of my usual dose of 1 & am still no relief ## What are the markings on the ones you have received from your pharmacy? I apologize, but I am having difficulty finding details, so if you can post back with this information, it would make it much easier to research this for you. The FDA warns that Alprazolam carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, irritability, and headache. Are you on any other me...

Normison used to be made by Wyeth, until that company was bought by Pfizer, and in South Africa, by Aspen Healthcare. The liquid filled gelcaps are, I think, only now available in South Africa, and there is one generic I know of, by Sandoz, which is also liquid-filled. Everywhere else the 'eggs' are now a solid gel formulation, introduced to stop an epidemic of people abusing the contents of the capsules, which leads to major blood vessel blockages, causing loss of limbs, and lives. The drug Temazepam does not easily get absorbed in tablet form as the binders used inhibit bioavailability. The alternative is to get prescribed Temazepam oral solution, which is found mostly in 10 mg/5 mL strength. To the person who asked where to find these brand name gelcaps, I would suggest an in...

orange and white capsule, says Geigy 02 on it ## Hello, Unfortunately the pill you found belonged to the manufacturing company Geigy which merged with Sandoz back in the 90's. A lot of people ask questions regarding medications from this company but due to the time frame of when the company was sold prior to the internet boom there really isn't a lot of data that I can pull up without going to a brick and mortar location, not even sure where to start looking honestly, and find the pill description there. As a side note, due to the pill being as old as it is I would say it's safe to assume that the medication has long passed it's shelf life and has expired. It would simply be best to drop the pill of at your local drug drop off located at your nearest pharmacy or hostpita...

what is the difference between: APO ZOPICLONE and RXP ZOPICLONE Thanks db ## Just the manufacturer, those initials just designate the company that has made that particular tablet. RXP is used on tablets manufactured by Sandoz and APO used by Apotex, these are both tablets readily available on the Canadian market, generics for Imovane, which is used to treat insomnia. Common side effects may include: nausea, heartburn, blurred vision and impotence. Learn more: Are there any other questions?

Is Santos-brand oxycodone a good quality medication? I have an alleged 40mg oxycodone pill from this company and I would like to know if anyone else has feedback on it. I'm in Australia. ## I'm sorry, did you mean Sandoz? In the U.S., they are considered a very reputable company. The NIH does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth.
