My doctor prescribed co aleva for 1 week. And he advised me not to eat chicken, seafoods, peanuts and cheese but i cant stop myself from eating those foods. And everytime i eat that food my allergy was active and i take co aleva every time i have allergic reactions. Is there any side effect I need to worry about if i always take that co aleva? ## If you are allergic to those foods, you do have to stop eating them. I have a contact allergy and this is the medicine that works for me. Every time I stopped using taking this medicine, the rushes in my hands appeared. my mother's doctor prescribe her ebastine betamethasone co-aleva to treat her allergy relating to asthma the first drug that we bought ebastine betamethasone co-aleva was given to me but in the second time i bought the drug the pharmacist gave me ebastine aleva. i wonder if these two medicines are the same? ## No, as you mentioned, the Co-Aleva contains both Ebastine and Betamethasone, however, the Aleva just contains Ebastine, so it will not do the same as the first medication did. The Betamethasone is a steroid class medication, that is used to treat allergic reactions and swelling. Have you tried asking the pharmacist why they made the switch?
