HHOW MUCH TIME DOES IT TAKE TO REDUCE FEVER ## Cefi contains Cefixime, Cloxacillin and Lactobacillus, this is an antibiotic. There is nothing in this to reduce fever, at least until whatever infection is being treated starts to clear up and then the related fever will ease in conjunction with that. Common side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness,skin rash and diarrhea. I suffer from throat infection frequently and my family phsysian prescribe ZIFI 200 twice daily for 5 days. To cure fully, is this dose sufficient ? ## That is the standard dose for this medication, although it can be used in a dose of 400mgs, as well. My daughter having green diarrreah. she is treated with n able (Wallace) cefixime and pottasuim culvanate. She is having rashes now. what is the reason? ## Cefixime with Clavulanic Acid is an antibiotic and one of the possible side effects it can cause is a non-allergic skin rash. Have you contacted her doctor? My 3 minth ild baby girl got urine infectiin and doctor advised to give cefixime 2.5ml, 2 times a day for 7 days. By mistake i have given one dose in morning and one dose in afternoon. However, Cefixime is an antibiotic and if he just has nasal congestion and a cough due to a cold, this won't help, because a cold is caused by a virus, not a bacterial infection.
