Is it OK to take cefalixin cefalin for a cough with stiky plegm ang yellowish color.? ## This is an antibiotic and will only help with bacterial infections. The NIH lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Not all yellowish phlegm is indicative on an infection, so it would be best to have a doctor evaluate your issues. It could just be your body fighting off a cold, or allergic stimuli. What are the known side effect of this medication? ## I'd also like to know about the prescribed indications of this drug. ## This medication is unavailable in the U.S. and I am sorry to say that other countries do not regulate their prescription drugs as strictly as the FDA does. That said, finding information on them is very difficult, since there are no databases which list them all, like there are for U.S. prescription drugs. The only thing I can suggest is that you try asking your doctor or pharmacist for more information. ## I was prescribed Zertin for a hard cough.
