Can You Take Tylenol 3 With Amox Clav

My 6 month old baby has an ear infection and the dr prescribed a new kind of stronger medication for him today...Clavulin. He just woke up screaming and was a little raspy on his chin & cheeks. We gave him baby Tylenol. What else should we do? ## They can be taken together, with a doctor's approval. The NIH warns that the side effects may include dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. What are you referring to as raspy? Are you referring to a rash? Has he shown any signs of it being itchy? Can you please post back and clarify? This medication contains Amoxicillin, and Clavulanic Acid, the U.S. name brand for it is Augmentin. Is it safe to take Tylenol extra strength 625mg and Amox-Clav 875 mg together? ## I didn't find any problems or interactions listed between them in the NIH database, as a matter of fact, they are often prescribed together to treat an infection and the pain some of them can cause. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Has your doctor prescribed them both? ## Took my first Amox clav 875mg at 6 pm. My next one is at 6 am the next day. Can I take Tylenol or an Ibuprofen 200 mg in between doses?

I have taken 5 doses so far of amoxicillin/clavulanate (2/day) for a bacterial infection (lymphadenopathy, submandivular -Primary). I have a small crack in a tooth that is now hurting. Unless your doctor has instructed otherwise, you should not exceed 1,000mgs every 8 hours, for a maximum of 3,000mgs a day. Taking more risks liver damage, or failure. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, and headache.

Can I take Mucinex along with Tylenol & Amoxicillin / Clavulanate Potassium Tablets, USP 875 mg/125 mg? ## Hi Nancy, According to the University of Maryland Medical Center (umm.edu / drug interaction tool), there are no interactions listed between Mucinex, Tylenol (acetaminophen) and Amoxicillin. While this doesn't necessarily mean no interactions exist, I personally haven't had any issues taking these together in the past. However, if in doubt, it may be a good idea to double check with your doctor first. I hope this helps!

I've been taking this for 4 days by IV 1xdaily. 1 more day to go then I start oral for 5 days. Treatment for inflamed kidney. The problem I have is severe headache all the time. Tylenol doesn't help. That can be a normal side effect of this medication, as reported by the FDA, along with nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. if you are allergic to cefdinir can you take amox? ## Yes, they are a different class of antibiotics. Cefdinir is a Cephalosporin antibiotic.
