Been on this for years and again these 2172 are not the same. They must differ in someplace. I get nauseous from them. After taking them almost 20 years there has to be something off here or I wouldn't feel this way. I can take a 10/660 Watson be fine and take a 5/325 2172 and within 30 min I want to vomit! ## Well, you are mentioning 2 different dosages, the pill with the 2172 marking contains 5mgs of Hydrocodone, and 325mgs of Acetaminophen, it is distributed by Major Pharmaceuticals. NDC: 00904-6567 So, if you are used to taking a higher dose, such as the other you've mentioned, then you may be experiencing some withdrawal effects, which may include nausea, headache, vomiting, rebound pain, and sedation, according to FDA reports. Was your dosage supposed to be changed?

I have been taking 10/500mg hydrocodone for 7yrs and have been told by a lot of people that they will only have 10/325mg hydrocodone on the market in 2014 is that true? ## Hello, Shantrell! How are you? Yes, it is true. Due to the risk of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the risk of overdose, the FDA requested that all combination prescription products that contain Acetaminophen be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs per dose. Some companies have already begun to make the change and remove products from the market that contain the higher amounts of Acetaminophen and the rest will have it completed in a just a few weeks, by the start of 2014. Is there anything else I can help with? ## what is a good replacement hydrocodone 1...

I take Qualitest 10/500 pink hydrocodone. My pharmacy has told me that Qualitest will no longer be making this. I have tried other 10/500 pills to no avail. Qualitest is the only manufacturer that works on my pain . Does Qualitest offer another size ? ## Hello, Ted! How are you doing? Actually, after the first of the year (2014), none of the manufacturers will be making this dosage, anymore. Due to the risks of liver damage or failure that can occur with long-term use of high amounts of Acetaminophen, as well as the overdose fatalities that have occurred with these medications, the FDA has requested that all combination prescription products be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen, per dose. Norco 750 white with pink dots ## Prescription drugs that contain Acetaminphen are not allowed to have more than 325 mg of Acetaminphen now. ## @Michelle, Post #1 is correct. Acetaminophen is capped out at 325mg now-a-days. So the old Vicodin's with 750mg of Acetaminophen are no longer being made. However you can still get the 7.5mg dose of Hydrocodone. I wouldn't want such high amounts of Acetaminophen in my tablets anyways though since the risk of liver damage is always there. Makes me wonder why they still bother putting Acetaminophen in medications, seeing that it offers very little benefits vs risks. Did you also have any specific questions regarding these pills? I noticed that your thread title/description are pretty vague, but thought I'd offer a second opinion none-t...

Both the Acetaminophen and the Hydrocodone can be dangerous, if you exceed a certain amount daily.
