It's a capsule-shaped white pain pill and on one side its says G 32 and on other side it says 500. Someone said it was a hydrocodone pain pill and wanted information on that pill but I couldn't find a pill with those marking under hydrocodone. So what kind of pain pill is it? ## G 32, divided by a line down that side of the tablet and 500 on the other side is Naproxen 500 mg. Naproxen is a anti inflammatory. It is the same medication that is in Aleve, but in a higher mg.There is no hydrocodone in it. ## I can confirm that the white capsule shaped pill with imprint G 32 500 is Naproxen (500 mg). It is manufactured by Glenmark and has a National Drug Code of 68462-0190. Like BL mentioned, Naproxen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug. It is commonly used for the reduction of ...

off white, oblong, G 32 on one side, 500 on the other ## what is a pale peach oblong tablet with 500 on one side and G 32 with an indentation between the G and the 32 on the other? Is it Naproxen? ## Yes, it is 500mgs of Naproxen, a generic for Naprosyn. ## I want to know if the naproxen pill marked G 32 500 contains penicillin? I'm highly allergic to penicillin and don't want to take it for my fibromyalgia if it has penicillin in it.

After six hours of taking hydrocodon-acetaminophen5-325 can I switch to Naproxin 500mg in order to drive safely, or should I wait longer? ## Hello, Rose! How are you? How is the Hydrocodone affecting you? Is it making you dizzy, drowsy, or making you feel high? If so, you definitely won't want to be driving, while feeling like that. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and could cause other side effects, such as nausea, dry mouth and constipation. Otherwise, you should be able to switch, if your doctor approves. However, Naproxen is just a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory, so it likely won't alleviate your pain as much. Typical side effects of it may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is the...

My husband takes the Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG Tablet by Mallinckrodt. When we went to a different drug store, they gave us Hydrocodone/Apap 10-325. The drug store says it's the same as Hydrocodone/Apap 5-500MG. This can't be true? ## Well, no, obviously not, this is clearly a different dosage of the medication. The first tablet he was receiving contained 5mgs of the narcotic Hydrocodone and 500mgs of Acetaminophen. The new one contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone and only 325mgs of Acetaminophen, so it is completely different and not equivalent at all. The higher dose of the narcotic could cause more severe side effects, such as: drowsiness, nausea, dizziness and constipation. In addition, it could cause him to build a tolerance or addiction faster, and when he does get the other p...

are you all changing this strength of loratab to something else. if so what is the 10-500mg being changed to. what is the strongest mg of loratab that you guys have now? ## Hello Frances! How are you? This website does not manufacture, prescribe nor sell any medications, it is an information only website. And in respect to that, I can provide you with the information you need… From now on, the maximum strength available will contain 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. The U.S. FDA felt that there were far too many risks associated with the higher amounts of Acetaminophen. Is there anything else I can help with?

I INJURED MY KNEE AND THEY GAVE ME HYDROCO APAP 5 325 AND IT IS NOWHERE STRONG ENUFF FOR THIS PAIN IN MY KNEE, I WAS TAKING THE SAME THING WITH NOPHEN 5-500 IN IT WHICH WAS PERFECT BUT FOR SOME REASON COUNTY DOCTORS ALWAYS MESS UP STUFF, I WAS WONDERING IF I COULD MAYBE TAKE 1 1/2 TO ADD UP TO ALMOST THE SAME AMOUNT TO MAKE THE PAIN GO AWAY, IS IT SAFE TO DO ## @Damien, If you've taken this exact medication before at a higher dosage, you may just want to use your own best judgement on what your body can tolerate. However, because I am not a doctor I can only encourage you to ask for a stronger medication at your next appointment. I don't know your medical history or anything about you, so it would be in the wrong for me or anyone else besides your doctor to tell you that it'...

Is lortab 10 / 325 weaker than lortab 10 / 500 ## Hello, Jim! How are you? Yes and no, the amount of Acetaminophen in it is lower and the ones with the higher doses are no longer available. This medication was changed and all formulations that are now available can only contain a maximum of 325mgs of Acetaminophen per dose. However, the Acetaminophen augments the action of the narcotic for some people, so the one with the higher amount of it may work better for them, but it doesn't work that way for everyone, so for some people these might basically be equivalent, since they both contain 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, d...

Is it possible to get 10/325? I take other prescribed meds and want to know if the 10/325 would be better for stomach upsets. ## Zoie in my opinion the 10/325 is easier on the gut and for sue the liver!! Ive been on 10/650 10/500 now down to 7.5/325 , Just my opinion and they worked just as well whether with or without more acetaminophen. I read they are coming out with zohydro!1 hydrocone-the main ingredient of norco, lotrab, vicodin, but ive heard of this a year ago, so it will be nice to get all the acetominophen that's causing liver damage out!! ## As of now, the ones with the higher doses of Acetaminophen are no longer available in the U.S. They have all been lowered to contain 325mgs per dose. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may ca...

are Lortabs still in use? My pharmicist said they were no longer made. ## The FDA has asked dr to no longer prescribe it with 500 mg acetaminophen but instead to use the mandated reduced 325 mg acetaminophen. The FDA has also asked pharmacists to contact the drs if a rx is written for the 500 mg before filling it. The hydrocodone and acetaminophen (Lortab, Vicodin, Norco) are still made. But, the amount of acetaminophen has been reduced. ## So can you take a Tylenol to get the same results since they lowered it to 325? I'm so used to the 500 and it just isn't the same ## Talk to your dr first. The new recommendation from the FDA is not to exceed 3,000 mg of tylenol in a 24 hr period. ## It isn't that the FDA has asked them to no longer prescribe the higher amounts, they'...

How long can my sister take this 5 mg oxycodone w/500 mg tylenol med safely? She just had surgery to re-align fractures in both her radius & Luna and replace her shattered elbow. Her pain level is extremely high (rating 1 to 10, she is a 15) ## How long she can safely take it is entirely up to her doctor. The FDA does warn that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. However, currently, there are no doses on the market that contain more than 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Are you sure of what she's taking? Did you mean her ulna? Is she on any other medications?

I take all these meds for high suger, colesteral ,pain and nerve pain do you see any bad side effects from having to take all these meds> ## Hi Smith, Unfortunately, just about every prescription drug comes with at least a handful of undesirable side effects. However, there's really no telling ahead of time which side effect(s) or symptom(s) one might end up experiencing during the course of treatment, if you even have any symptoms at all. Not everyone who takes these types of drugs experiences side effects. So you could just as well be in the clear as far as I know. my pharmacist told me that watson is discontinuing the hydrocodone blue 10/500 rx, and the only ones we would be able to get is the white generic, the white ones make me goofy, so why are they not going to produce the blue 10/500 anymore or is she full of a crap as an independant pharmacy, family owned?? ## From the information I've just found, your pharmacist is correct. In January of 2011, the U.S. FDA asked manufacturers to start limiting the amount of Acetaminophen in these combination medication products to only 325mgs and to discontinue the 500mg and higher versions. They wanted the changes to all be made by January of 2014. Some companies have already done so and the rest are slowly instituting the change to have all their products in compliance by the designated time. That d...

Where can I find them? they keep changing them all the time. is it because you need to pay for them out of pocket instead of getting it on Medi-Cal? ## Hello, Hugo! How are you? I'm sorry, but the ones with the 500mgs of Acetaminophen in them are no longer available. The maximum amount of Acetaminophen that is now approved for these combination medications is no more than 325mgs per dose. Thus, if you have a prescription for one with the higher amount, you'll need to see your doctor for a new prescription. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Having Medi-Cal has nothing to do with it.

Hello I am taking Hydroco\aceta 10 325 for knee pains. I had total rt knee replacement 2 yrs ago. Currently I have fever for 3 days. Went to my doc and he gave me levoquin and Motrin 500. Is it safe for me to take this while on Verapamil for high bp ? I only take the Hydro once a day if I need it. ## Hello, Maria! How are you feeling? Is your doctor aware of everything that you take? It is only safe to combine these medications, if they have approved that you do so. How high is your blood pressure? The Motrin may cause some elevation and fluid retention. Levaquin is an antibiotic that may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea. Motrin may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation...

I have been taking 10/500mg hydrocodone for 7yrs and have been told by a lot of people that they will only have 10/325mg hydrocodone on the market in 2014 is that true? ## Hello, Shantrell! How are you? Yes, it is true. Due to the risk of liver damage or failure that can be associated with long-term use of high amounts, as well as the risk of overdose, the FDA requested that all combination prescription products that contain Acetaminophen be lowered to contain no more than 325mgs per dose. Some companies have already begun to make the change and remove products from the market that contain the higher amounts of Acetaminophen and the rest will have it completed in a just a few weeks, by the start of 2014. A light yellow oblong shaped tablet imprinted with 36 01 on the front and V on th back. ## T have been taking hydrocod/apap 5/500 and have been changed to hydroc/apap 10/325. whichy is stronger? ## is this pill hydroco/apap ? it has M357 on it ## In regards to the original question, yes the tablet with the 3601 V contains 10mgs of Hydrocodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen and is roughly equivalent to what you were taking. The dosage of the narcotic has been raised, while the Acetaminophen has been lowered, to help protect you from the damage that long term use of higher doses of it can cause, such as liver failure. It may even be a little stronger for you and help your pain more, depending on how sensitive you are to the narcotic. You can learn more Vicodin details here. And yes, the tabl...

I have MS and have used vicodin for specific MS related pain relief for over 4 years. I had been taking 7.5-500 vicodin but they have since been discontinued due to the high level of acetaminophen. I take up to 4 pills a day of 7.5-325 vicodin. My question is would changing from 7.5-325 to 10-325 vicodin create the possibility that I may not need up to 4 pills per day? I want to discuss this with my MS doctor because my layman thinking is that I probably wouldn't need 4 pills a day and therefore not be taking so much acetaminophen. ## Hello, Tony! How are you? Yes, it could and is a viable idea to discuss with your doctor. You could also consider switching to something that doesn't have Acetaminophen in it. The FDA classifies this medication as a narcotic analgesic, so it has th...

My doctor changed my medication from Lortab 7.5 500 to Norco 7.5 325, but now i'm super sleepy for about 2 hours now. Any answers ? ## It might be a slight withdrawal effect, due to the lower amount of Acetaminophen, because it potentiates the Hydrocodone. It usually takes about a week or so, for your body to adjust. However, if it continues past that, or worsens, you should consult your doctor. This is a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation.
