There is nothing in Morphine or Dilaudid that will neutralize any other medications. Can I take Tylenol p.m with morphine I had a morphine 30 I cut it n to 4ths and took a fourth then waited a hour and took another can I take 2 Tylenol p.m too? ## What formulation of Morphine are you taking? If it is the time released formulation, you should not be cutting it, because that creates the risk of your getting too much of the medication at once, which might result in overdose. The FDA warns that Morphine carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth and constipation. As to taking it with the Tylenol PM, they can both cause sedation, so you may experience more dizziness and drowsiness than usual, thus it would be best to check with your doctor, before adding it, to make sure it is safe for you to do so. I have a spinal stimulate with two leads in my back for damaged nerves, mostly on the left side. During back surgery the left side lead was cut, which not only cause more pain for the recovery but was not discovered for 2 weeks. Because of Christmas nothing can be done until Jan.19,2017. Tylenol 4 does ok but it does not last very long, certainly not one every 8 hours. The doctor wants to switch me to morphine 15mg every 8 hours. I do not want to hurt from now until surgery, but I do to want to have a difficult time getting off meds after surgery. I am ready to be well, happy and back to my normal life. Could you detail the differences between the two drugs and the after effects that will have to be over come after surgery in Jan. ## Rose, Happy New Years to you. It's very admirable...

I just started taking morphine 15mg tablets 2 times a day, is tylenol PM and Darvocet alright to take with them ? I heard something about aspirin while taking morphine in't good? Please help! ## aspirin + morphine is no problem. Darvocet is an opioid narcotic, like morphine, albeit a much weaker one. Mixing darvocet and morphine could be dangeous due to an increase in narcotic activity, likely beyond what your doctor has in mind. ## Im 120 pound girl and took 2 of 15mg morphine slow release pills. How many different green liquid medications are there? My mom is prescribed liquid medicine and I need to know the name of it. It's green and highly addictive. ## My dad is on hospice. His morphine is blue. His morphine pills are blue. I hate giving it to him, but I hate him suffering more. I usually make sure he's on his oxygen really well before administering the meds. He usually screams out or he asks for it. I know he's hurting because in his lifetime he's only taken Tylox for maybe four days after surgery. The only other pain killer has been a Tylenol for headache. He hated medicine. I've had pain so severe until I've been on dilaudid and Actiq the pain lollipops. My doctor had to wean me off. That was a result of six back to back surgeries. I think I will a...

I am a hospice patient and was prescribed 1 - 2 tylenol #3 every 4 hours. I was wondering if this is a strong opiate? I would like to be as comfortable as possible but also keep my mind active and alert. ## Tylenol 3 contains Acetaminophen and Codeine, which a very mild opiate. The FDA warns that it carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. I was told today, taking 2 Tylenol and 2 ibuprofen is equivelant to taking morphine for pain! Is there any truth to that? ## Hello, Keith! How are you? No, that is not accurate. Alternating the two, say by taking Tylenol in the morning, then Ibuprofen 8 hours later can sometimes result in better pain relief, because it can help reduce swelling more significantly that just taking one or the other, but it will not be anywhere close to Morphine and doubling up on them, at the same time, could be dangerous, due to the toxic effects they may have on the liver. Is there anything else I can help with? ## I need to know for a 15 yr old weighing 126lbs, is it safe for her to take two Tylenol 500mg and two Ibuprofen 200mg, which is a total of 1,400 mg at once? ## Is it safe to take Ibuprofen and ...

1 am taken Tylenol #3 due to a recent operation along with 5mg of of Morphine is this safe? as I was told the body turns codiene into Morphine after a while ## They can be taken together, as long as your doctor has stated you should do so. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming, and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. It doesn't actually turn it into Morphine, your body breaks it down into the same metabolites, which is very different and does not create the risk of an overdose. Just make sure you stay within your prescribed dosing parameters. Is there anything else I can help with?

I am on a few psychotropic and an anti-convulsant. My blood work, I am told, says that my liver function level is 170 when it is supposed to be 40 or less. Therefore, my Pain Management Doctor said I cannot take anything with Tylenol in it, because it can harm your liver. What medication for pain, besides Roxycodone and Morphine could I ask for that doesn't have Tylenol in it, since they both knock me out when I take them. He tried Roxy first and then the Morphine, and now I am back on Roxy, because the Morphine made me depressed. Both were/are 30 mg. tablets. ## HI, Candy! Can I take Oramorph SR 60 mg if I am used to 100 mg of Vicodin a day? ## There are no 100mg tablet of Hydromorphone and Acetaminopen, if you were taking enough of them to equal that dosage, you have been putting yourself in severe danger of overdosing on the Acetaminophen. In that case, yes, you are probably better off and safer with the Oramorph SR. It contains no Acetaminophen and is time released.
