this was half red and half brown, when I broke the capsule open it smelt herbal no numbers or other marks were on the pill ## If there are no markings, then it will be impossible to positively identify, unless you would pay to have it lab tested. It could, however, be Valerian root, as it does have a strong, herbal smell to it, but there is no way we can be certain of it. It could be any one of a large number of foreign medications or over the counter items. Where was it found?

I found a capsule at my work, we've been having a drug problem so I was thinking about telling my boss but I don't know what kind of pill it is. It's brown on one half and orange on the other with the imprint "MK" with a circle around the letters. The markings are on both halves of the capsule on the same side. I opened it a little and white powder started coming out. Any help would be appreciated.

No markings, looks very similar to a bug's cocoon, similar in color also. Oval or slightly oblong shaped. Has one perforated seam where it was torn from a sheet of some sort, almost certainly homemade. Has a clear, odorless liquid inside. No idea what it is or where it came from, I think someone dropped it in my house. With no marking, it may be difficult to narrow down what it contains, however, we can rule it out as being a manufactured prescription medication, because they are all required to have imprints to enable their identification. The capsule with TEVA 75mg 0813 on it is listed by Teva Pharmaceuticals as containing 75mgs of Nortiptyline, which is an antidepressant. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and weight changes. Does the one with the 433 on it also have PLIVA on it? If so, Pliva lists it as containing 50mgs of Trazodone, which is another antidepressant that is also used to treat insomnia. It's side effect profile is very similar to the previously mentioned medication.
