I am looking for the amneal mfg brand of Norco in Indiana ## The Qualitest Norco yellow kind are by far better than the white Watson brand ## In my opinion, the best way to ensure that you get what works is to have your prescribing doctor specify the name of the manufacturer you want on the prescription itself. From what I understand, this is generally enough to make the pharmacy order whatever it is you need even if they don't have it in stock at that moment. This tactic also ensures that no matter which pharmacy you go to, you should be able to get the appropriate medication. It might even help to have your doctor write down a reason why you need to avoid certain manufacturers' products (i.e. due to various binders/fillers you're allergic or hypersensitive to, etc..). Has ...

I've been on Norco 7.5/325 since they stopped making Vicodin. I had the yellow, loved them, then my pharmacy only had the white ones from Qualitest. My last refill was with mallinckro, hate them! I itch and stay in pain 24/7. My pharmacist said they will no longer be able to get the qualitest, now I'm stuck as to where to go. I hate calling pharmacies for certain brands since they think I'm a druggie..when I clearly take no more and often less than required. ## I am very sorry about the problems you're experiencing. Unfortunately, there is no database that lists which medication any given pharmacy carries, at any given time, because such information is dynamic and can always change, depending on which manufacturer was offering the cheapest price, at the time they needed ...

I've been taking Norco 10/325 for quite some time and have noticed a MAJOR difference in quality and effectiveness between manufacturers. To me the Mallinckrodt 367 are the most effective all around. Interpharm/Amneal (same company /have merged) IP110 version comes in second for me. Watson seems to be the worst with noticeably much less effectivepain relief and with me seems to act more like a sedative, knocking me out which sucks when you want to be functional/productive. Qualitest is okay but seems to be similar to the Watsons only with less sedation. Personally if the pharmacy doesn't carry Mallinckrodt or Interpharm/Amneal then I won't fill my prescription there. I know this subject has been discussed here many times before but I figure since the recent apparent formula ...

I take Norco 10 / 325 and they aren't doing anything. I think I was even having withdrawals sneezing diarrhea and come to find out CVS carries Lupin. At first I thought I was building up a tolerance to the pain medication but it was like overnight. This can be traced back to when I got the medication from CVS from the manufacturer Lupin. I have about a 30 day supply left and can't get anymore but I definitely will not be going back there. I will be calling pharmacies to see who does not carry Lupin. ## Omg im so glad im not alone on the pupil brand. I literally hurt all over and they wear off in about 2 hours. I'm having a hard time finding my yellow ones and when i do call looking for them im treated like crap. I just want to cry. I have severe disk degeneration and need 5 ...

Why is it small and yellow, I was taking the lortab blue pill ## The color and size don't actually mean anything, the company may just manufacture their pills differently, so they use less fillers, than other manufacturers. What are the markings on the tablet in question? The name brand Norco that is a yellow tablet in the 10/325mg dosage is oval and has the marking NORCO 539 on one side of the tablet. There is also a generic, that is a yellow, oval with the marking WATSON 853. Another yellow, oval one with the marking 3601 on one side and a V on the other side. Do any of these match the tablet you have? If not, please post back with markings and I will gladly check it for you.

I got this as a refill. Does nothing for the pain from the surgery that i had. The one i had before which was manufactured by Watson i could take one of and be able to not be in pain. With this one i can take 2 as it states on the bottle and it does nothing and i am still in pain. Same script same instructions the only difference is manufacture and this one does nothing for my pain. Care to tell me why? ## Hello, Lori! How are you doing? Sorry that you're in pain. There can be slight fluctuations in the amount of the active ingredients from one manufacturer to another and you may be sensitive to such changes. The best thing to do, if you can, is to ask your doctor if they can prescribe it as the brand being medically necessary. Is there anything else I can help with?

Qualist manufacturer has a pill that states it to be a 5/325 the reads reads v 3604. To my knowledge I thought anything with the # 325 in it is usually a norco ## Hello, Reb! How are you? The V doesn't stand for what the tablet contains, that is just the manufacturers logo, so having a V on it does not make it Vicodin. The V stands for Vintage Pharmaceuticals, they were purchased by Qualitest several years ago and there are many pills with the V logo that don't contain narcotics of any type. Additionally, Norco is just a name brand for a certain combination of Acetaminophen and Hydrocodone….while it was originally ones that just contained 325mgs of Acetaminophen, with several doses of the Hydrocodone, since it is available as a generic now, they are pretty much all just us...

What Drug Store sell these in Northridge, Ca and what is the difference, if any ## I'm sorry, but there is no central listing to let anyone know what drug store carries a medication from any given manufacturer. Learn more Norco details here. Even attempting to create such a database would be a virtually impossible task, since such information is dynamic. Most pharmacies will stock whichever one their supplier was offering at the cheapest price. As to the difference, what are you wanting to compare them to? ## I live in Diamond Bar, and the only pharmacy I can get the yellow Norcos at is Walgreens. Those work the absolute best for me!!! Can't find them anywhere but there!! ## Google the number & letters on the pill. That will tell you what brand. The yellow ones your looking ...

I was forced into taking Caraco Norco. This cheap manufacturer should be banned. Mallinkrodt lasted all 6 hours. Caraco when there was some relief with 2 pills lasted only 3 hours. This is how patients O.D. How do we get this ineffective brand banned? Can we get a legal case going against pharmacies for pushing ineffective meds? We have to pay for these meds, we are patients suffering and should be able to trust our medication is good quality. This has to stop. ## The whole premise behind brand vs generic is when the patent runs out for brand a generic is made by the same or another company . The absolute rule from the beginning of generic's is that the are suppose to be exactly equivalent to the brand name. Something extremely dangerous is happening with what some of the cheap comp...

What do all the pills of this Prescription look like? ## I could not possibly post a description of all of them, since it is available as a generic, there are far too many of them on the market. The name brand actually says NORCO on the tablet, with numbers underneath it. If you can post back with the imprint from the tablet you are asking about, I will gladly look it up for you. Can you post back with this information? ## Is watson 3023 a generic tablet of norco? ## Alleged norco 10/325 tablet. Description: large white oblong tab with a V or checkmark imprint on one side. My wife has been prescribed norco 10/325mg and has tried different mfg's due to different phamacy's brand they carry, she states that only Mallinckro works to stop the pain from two spinal fusions and a broken hip and femor. What pharmacy carries this brand, we got it when we were with kaiser and now we are with scan and cannot seem to obtain this mfg. ???? thanks Jim ## There is actually no way to know which generic that any given pharmacy is carrying, at any given time. It can vary, depending on which manufacturer is offering the cheapest price, when they they need to restock their supply. I have been prescribed Watson brand Norco for years. Recently I was given this same drug made by a different manufacturer (Mallinckrodt). This formulation gave me headaches, cramps, hives and I'm vomiting. Why? ## Hi Lee, Whenever you switch manufacturers of the same drug, there's almost always going to be a difference in inert ingredients (binders & fillers) that make up the composition of the pill. Some people are more sensitive (or allergic) than others to these changes and that in itself may be a culprit for possible side effects. Something else worth noting is that different binding agents can affect bioavailability, which in turn means you get more or less of the actual active ingredient, potentially bringing about an onset of withdrawal symptoms. Unfortunately, determ...

Lately it seems like everywhere I go to get my norco 7.5 filled lately, I get those horrible white pills (not sure of the manufacturer). They seriously make me feel ill! I'm looking for a pharmacy around Livonia, Plymouth, Canton, Northville, etc, that still carries the peach ones with the flying "V" on the back (I believe it's Qualitest). Any help would be greatly appreciated! ## Hello Smash, Would you happen to have the imprints on either of the medications that you are describing? The flying V you are referring to is the imprint mark of the Qualitest brand but a large number of their medications comes in the peach/pink color and I wouldn't really be able to provide much useful information without knowing the imprints. Once you give me the imprints I can look up th...

what pharmacys other than walgreens carry the watson brandof norco10/325 ## Hello, Joel! How are you? I'm sorry, but there is no listing of which pharmacies carry a medication from any given manufacturer that I can refer to for you. Have you tried at your other local drug stores? Need advice! I came to this site with the same issue, over a year ago - I'm one of unlucky people that has extreme sensitivity to "fillers" in most white colored norco 10-325 generic. I FINALLY found the dark yellow Qualitest. It was a VERY PAINFUL 3 month struggle! Now, with currant conditions, can't find this brand anywhere near me! Really need HONEST advice regarding any generic manufacturer that is well tolerated by ONLY PATIENTS WITH MY SIMILAR ISSUES PLZ. The malencrap & aurobindo were the worst. They gave me migraine headaches & sick to stomach. If someone has similar issues AND KNOWS OF A BRAND that is GOOD, please let me know. I'd be grateful. If need be I can have my Dr change the Rx to Vicodin or Vicoprofen. I just need a GOOD manufacturer name to ...

I used to take Norco 10/325 for chronic pain by Watson, but Watson was bought out by Actavis. Wow, the difference in pain control went from 10 to zero. All Walgreens and CVS pharmacy's only carry Actavis, so I called around and finally found the generic that works even better than Watson's, and that's Mallinckrodt, at least for me. Most hospital pharmacies carry Mallinckrodt. Amneal, Qualitest and so many other manufacturers are absolute garbage! I have chronic pain from fibromyalgia and osteoarthritis in every joint in my body. I think those fake manufacturers of pain pills should be shut down. ## They aren't fake manufacturers, under the Hatch-Waxman Act of 1984, generics are allowed to differ from the name brand, in the amount of the active ingredient, by as much as p...

Hello. I have a doctor who I have seen for a long time who writes has regularly written me scripts. Sometimes it is for norco and then sometimes the next month she will do percocet. Both are 10/325 everytime. The question I am asking is how can I ensure that the Pharmacy will have the specific Noroc/Percocet that I am looking for. For example, sometimes Walgreens will have the white Watson 853's which I don't like. Sometimes the CVS will have the white A333 Percs which I do like. Is there a way my doctor can specify on my script which brand/manufacturer she wants to perscribe? ## Hello, Scott! How are you? No, there is no way to specific any certain generic. The most your doctor can do is write it as brand medically necessary, or whatever the equivalent is in your state, so they...

My pill for hydrocodone 10/325. Is white, oblong and had 3601*v imprinted on it. Just got it from Walmart. Is this the correct pill? I am used to taking the yellow oblong. ## Yeah I got mine today and to my surprise they were white not yellow but very similar except for the white is V 3609 and the yellow is V 3601. I was dissapointed because I hate the white ones no matter what brand. I hope they don't stopped making the yellow like watson did. Now they serve u watson 853 in white! ## Many people here on MedsChat are saying the same thing about these V 3609 white pills being less effective. I think Post #1 is right about the white ones lacking efficacy all across the board from one manufacturer to the next. I've noticed a growing trend in action - Actavis's generic norco for...
