I found this pill under my dresser. I’m told it’s a contraceptive, but my current birth control pills are not blue. I’ve never taken Tri-previfem before, which is what it’s identified as, but I have taken Ortho-tricyclen and TriNessa which are alternate brand names I’m told. Would the inscription be the same across the different brand names? ## Confirming that the pill you found corresponds with the markings found on Tri-Previfem (NDC 0603-7663). While it does contain a similar active ingredient profile as Ortho-Tricyclen (NDC 50458-191) and TriNessa (NDC 21695-407), the inscription should differ across brand names. The general rule is that each drug is required to have a unique imprint across manufacturers and doses. So even if it was the same manufacturer...

My son has been suspended from school for having a bottle of dark blue capsules with no inscription in his car on school grounds, he said he found them at his grandfather's house, but he threw away the box, the police can't identify the pills so they will be sent to forensic lab which could take 6 months, my son is a Junior in high school, class president, makes A's and B's and if we can't get this pill identified, he may have to repeat his junior year. He has never beenin trouble before now. Someone please help! ## I'm sorry, but if there are no markings, it is going to be very difficult to determine what these capsules contain. The lab test is probably the only solution. We can, however, rule them out as being a U.S. manufactured prescription medication, becaus...

What is this pill with 7S? It is blue in color. ## This is most likely an over the counter product because I did not find the inscription listed in the NIH's pillbox data. So to me that means it is probably not a prescription drug because those are cataloged extensively. I also found another page on medschat where someone said that they got similar pills inside an OTC container labeled Simply Sleep, but they suspected that the 7s pill was from another bottle originally. All in all, it could possibly be an over the counter sleep aid containing Diphenhydramine, but I cannot say for sure simply because it is not cataloged as a prescription drug.

I found an oblong blue pill with imprint 7S in my room and I want to find out what it is? I didn't want to flush it or trash it before finding out. ## I found a related page on this site titled imprint code 7s where someone is asking the same question. I also tried to cross reference the pill's inscription with the NIH pillbox database since that would likely return any matches for prescription drugs manufactured in the United States, but had no luck. The most likely scenario at this point is that it is an over the counter product because if it was a prescription drug it would be much easier to identify. In that related thread I mentioned above, they are saying that it was found inside an over the counter bottle of Tylenol Simply Sleep, but it is likely not originally from that ...

I need to know if oxycodone comes with this on it . I've never seen it before. It is blue small round pill with imprint M, and on the other side it has 031. ## No, I don't think you have Oxycodone. It seems likely that you have a round blue pill with the inscription M C31 (instead of 031): This pill is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 3.125mgs of Carvedilol, which is used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. (NDC 0378-3631) The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including headache, dizziness, nausea, cough an increased urination. found a pill in my daughters purse. it was blue round and had a v on one side and 144 on the other. please let me know what it is? ## Right now my best guess is that it's some sort of over the counter product because the inscription which you described is not appearing as part of the standard U.S. prescription drugs. The FDA requires all prescription meds to carry a unique imprint code and description and those tend to be cataloged properly. Another possibility is that it is a prescription medication from outside the U.S. but at this point it is hard to tell. Can you share any other details such as packaging, manufacturer name, or anything else? ## Could always be a fake, they are taking vicodin and percs and changing them up a little by removing the imprint on it and adding color o...

Actually I believe they are JetAsleep brand sleeping pills with acetaminophen (350mg) and diphenhydramine(50mg). They are made by the same company as JetAwake, so the previous commenter was understandably mistaken by thinking that these also contain caffeine. ## Based on the inscription of TCL 350 and the color blue, it appears to be an over the counter allergy tablet containing Diphenhydramine 50 mg (NDC 42507-066 among others). Inactive ingredients: - Silicon Dioxide - Croscarmellose Sodium - Calcium Phosphate, Dibasic, Dihydrate - FD&C Blue No. 1 - Hypromelloses - Magnesium Stearate - Cellulose, Microcrystalline - Mineral Oil - Stearic Acid - Aluminum Oxide ## While I haven't been able to verify any alleged findings in my investigation, I do have a hunch that the manufacturer...

Why does my blue Ritalin 10mg tablet turn my mouth blue when I take it? It stains my fingers, teeth & tongue. Why is that? ## Can you please answer a few more questions for clarification - Are you taking the actual brand Ritalin, or its generic equivalent? Regardless, can you please check your prescription label and try to post the NDC code so that it could be possible to check the inactive ingredients listed for that specific version? The reason I ask, is because in checking the NDC database for Ritalin 10 mg, what comes up is a greenish pill with the inscription CIBA on one side, and the number 3 on the other (NDC Code 0078-0440). Just want to make sure that we're talking about the same pill here. Lastly, if I may ask, is this your first Ritalin prescription? Or, if you have b...
