If taking 3-4 Hydrocodone 10/325 per day; if the person stopped today, for how long would the blood test show positive? Any way of decreasing that time? ## This is a generic for Vicodin, it contains Hydrocodone and Acetaminophen, the Hydrocodone is a narcotic and narcotics are usually detectable in blood tests for only 6 to 12 hours, after taking them. There is no actual precise time, because it can vary from person to person, depending on their overall health, other medications, length of time they've been taking it and etc. I really don't know of any safe way to try and alter these times in your blood stream. I have been taking hydrocodone for about 2 years now, my dr recently did a blood test and she said there was no norco in my system so she cut me off of it. Why would this happen if I take it everyday as percribed. Will a urine or hair drug test be able to detect the difference between the 7.5/750 halves I've been taking versus the 5/500 I have a prescription for? ## I believe a hair test can tell the difference Depending on how in-depth they want to get with a test. I had been taken hydrocodone 5/500for a year and my doctor tells me that I test Neg. for it. In both blood and urine, why? ## Some people do, it really depends on your metabolism and how fast you process out the medication. Your activity levels and fluid intake can also have an effect, so it may process out faster than it should. Has your doctor given you any ideas about it? ## My husband takes Xanax 1 mg 3 times a day, Adderall 10 mg twice a day, and hydrocodone 7.5, 325. I took 3 Lortab 10's exactly 6 days ago and want to know how long till i could pass a blood test. My doctor dismissed me as a patient because a very small amount (252 ng/ml) of morphine was detected. I do not take other peoples meds, do not do street drugs. How this could happen is a complete and crazy mystery to me. I take Alprazolam, Tizanidine HAL, blood pressure and water pills. Over the counter allergy medicine and occasionally Benadryl. What is it? I have 2 questions....1)I take Lortab 10/500- 4 per day as needed. I also have severe IBS with sudden and long lasting bouts of diarrhea at least 3 times a week, for which I take prescription Lomotil and Diphen/Atropine to stop the diarrhea. Due to ocassional nausea associated with the Lortab, I sometimes throw it up shortly after taking. I am testing NEGATIVE for opiates in my urine screens. Is it possible that the severe diarrhea is associated with the negative drug urine screens for hydrocodone? I was using heroin 2-3 times a day for a year. I quit heroin but continued to use pills. I recently could not get pills for about a week. I was extremely ill. So I said enough and went to a methadone clinic to quit everything. They said they would not treat me cause there was nothing in my blood or urine. The Hydrocodone is a narcotic opioid and they are usually detectable for 4 to 5 days in your urine, after you take them. However, if you have a prescription, you should just inform them of this, at the time of testing.
